Overall, we we very pleased with this company.
Description of Work: We had 3 A/C units serviced for the upcoming season at $49 per unit. From what I have seen advertised elsewhere that was a very good deal! The technician who came out was extremely knowledgeable about A/C and heating units. He took several hours to do a very thorough job and even cleaned out the units with a hose at the very end. That is the first time in 11 years and perhaps 3 different companies that anyone has ever done that! As for scheduling an appointment, when I mentioned that I needed an appointment fairly soon (due to personal reasons), I was scheduled for 2 days later! Fantastic, considering that this was an Angie's List Big Deal and they were getting lots of calls. We were so happy with this company that we will definitely call them back in the Fall for our Heating units.

THIS WAS THE MOST THOROUGH AIR CONDITIONING MAINTANCE AND CHECK I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. MY COILS WERE WASHED AND THE UNITS MOVED AWAY FROM SIDE OF HOUSE TO CLEAN DEBRIE THAT HAD ACCUMULATED. THEY WENT INTO ATTIC TO CHECK SYSTEM AND FOUND A FRAYED HOT WIRE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A MAJOR PROBLEM OR WORSE. THEY EVEN PUT ON SHOE COVERS TO COME IN THE HOUSE. I WAS VERY IMPRESED WITH THE SERVICE AND PROFESIONALISM AND HOW MUCH OF A INTEREST WAS TAKEN IN THE JOB.

I was very happy with them and trusted them to be in my house. They called and confirmed appointments and showed up when they were supposed to. They did quality work, did not try to upsell me with a bunch of junk that I did not need and explained everything to me. I will use them again in the future.

Original Date 12/22/2011: I called them Monday at about 11AM for an estimate. At 1PM they were onsite to provide me with an estimate. At 9AM on Tuesday they were back with a technician to verify that the installation could be done in the way we discussed the previous afternoon. At 9AM Wednesday both a plumber (to install the water line to the humidifier) was onsite and Aire Serv was onsite to begin the installation. Due to a missing component from Aprilaire they could not complete the install Wednesday but had the part overnighted. Aire Serv was back onsite by 5:30PM on Thursday to complete the installation. At about 7:30PM they completed their work and we parted ways. Not only were they professional and extremely clean but they were able to perform this installation extremely quickly, much faster than I expected. They also looked at a specialized A/C unit I had that was not functioning (something another Vegas HVAC company refused to do). With a little guidance from them I was able to get it working again and I will be calling them back to assist with the final installation of this unit. They went above and beyond what I expected from a company. I would not hesitate to contact them again for any work and already actually have plans to in the coming months. Updated on 12/27/2013: Over the past two years I have had to have them come out multiple times. From small issues like troubleshooting why the unit turned off (needed to install a water filter prior in the water line) as the canister was 100% used within 3 months (it has an estimated mfg lifespan of 9-12 months from) to larger ones where the tubing used to carry the steam into the air handler disconnected at a splice midway and caused steam to be expelled into the attic. The original splice had a great amount of physical pressure on the tubing, was being secured by two clamps however there was no flange to keep it from slowly sliding apart. This caused it to literally rain up there as the humidity ended up at well over 80%. The end result of that was half my insulation had to be removed due to the water, theres residual water staining thats visible as well. The technician came out who was very nice, repaired the splice and corrected its installation but a week following, the same hose attached to the humidifier's canister broke free due to too much pressure (from the hose at its angle, not internal psi). Although the same technician came out to look at it and said that the hydraulic hose that was used is substantially more than was needed and a basic hose is all that was needed - he was told by his manager that he should have charged me for the previous repair (the splice that came loose) and that he would need to charge me ~$220 to replace this hose this time - the hose they originally installed and I am now being told is not what should have been installed. The best part is this technician was told that since I don't have a service contract anymore (they never contacted me to inform me it was expiring and I had no paperwork on it to know myself) and that since I opened the humidifier myself, they are unable to really warranty anything. A comment on the humidifier is that the canister is a USER REPLACEABLE piece. There are two cables and a single hose clamp that attaches it to the unit and is 100% user replaceable so there is nothing I did that is not well within my homeowner rights for maintenance. So although two of the technicians over the 2 years have been great (others not so) and this last one was very nice and understanding of my situation - they are being told by management not to warranty their own work and to charge customers to repair/replace materials that wasn't necessarily the correct materials to install in the first place. For HVAC work I have not had any problems with anything they had done. For humidification I have had nothing but trouble. And although as I said - some of the technicians know their stuff and are genuinely concerned and looking to do the installation correct and keep the customer for repeat business - management seems to feel otherwise. I would be more than happy to discuss this with management if they so desired however I will take my business elsewhere at this point regardless.

They provided prompt, Excellent service. The Techs name was Jim. He was very good and explained everything in detail. I called them because I could not get my older furnace lit. They showed up with two hours and did a complete evaluation and repair of my system. I had purchase a "good deal" from Angies list for $49.99 and it was well worth it. I needed a failed part, a weak capacitor. the charge was $138.04 including a discount because of Angies list. They were all wonderful people and I would recommend them to anyone.

Richard was again prompt, friendly, and efficient. He explained what he was doing during the installation in a very understandable way. He also showed me clearly what I would need to do to replace the filter when that is needed. From start to finish, he did an outstanding job.

I can't say enough about this company and the gentleman (Jim) that fix all the problems. He came to the house and used the booties so he wouldn't track in dirt. He was very professional, courteous and respectful. My husband and I are so very happy with the service and the price. You don't see service like this nowadays!!!
Description of Work: I had no heat so I called Aire-Serv on a Thursday and they came out the same day. Jim figured out what the problem was within 10 minutes. Turns out we had installed the wrong thermostat and the company that came out earlier in the year for the a/c did something wrong with the wiring. They bypassed something. Jim replaced the thermostat with the correct one and fixed the wiring that was done wrong from the previous company. They did not charge me for the wiring problem, only for the new thermostat. The reason the bill was $400. is I also purchased a years maintenance contract being I was so impressed with this company...

Tested and replaced batteries in thermostat, capacitor in furnace, and cleaned flame sensor in furnace. Noted several items that appeared to have been replaced since unit was installed (A/C compressor and blower motor.) Offered (and I purchased) a year maintenance contract ($100.)

Great! Used a coupon from Angie's list but didn't realize that we had to purchase one for each system. However, he gave a discount for the second system so we didn't hesitate to have him do the job.
Description of Work: Services performed were checking the heating system(s) thoroughly. Technician did a great job in explaining everything and made no attempt to sell anything. He was very honest and and personable, arriving on time. He gave our systems an A+ rating. Made a suggestion that in about a year some minor parts need to be replaced because of the age of our heating systems. Will definitely use this company in the future and highly recommend their services.

Aire Serv promptly gave us a convenient appointment time for our "Big Deal" furnace tune-up. The technician (Rich) was very friendly and knowledgeable. He serviced all 3 units, replaced the filters we provided, and cleaned up. He also replaced a capacitor on each unit (1 was measuring low and 1 was leaking, although measurements were OK). Since these units were almost 10 years old and we previously had been told there were some issues, this was not a surprise, but we got a very good discount on the parts for being Angie's List members. We were pleased enough with the service that we purchased a 1 year maintenance contract which will provided us tuneups for air conditioning next spring and the furnaces next fall. Again, we received a discount for being Angie's List members.
Description of Work: We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for Furnace Cleaning, Tune-up and Safety Inspection (we have 3 furnaces) offered by Aire Serv. Our units are almost 10 years old. We had had a long term maintenance contract for these furnaces which had just expired this spring. The Angie's List Big Deal was a good price ($40/unit). Aire Serv promptly gave us a convenient appointment, The technician (Rich) serviced all 3 units and recommended a replacement part for each (we knew there were some problems with at least 2 of the units, so not a surprise). He also replaced each of the filters (provided by us).

At the initial visit, there was confusion regarding the fine print of the Big Deal and how many furnaces this included. I declined the service and communicated my concerns with Jeremy, the General Manager. He responded promptly and addressed all my concerns and we set up service the next day at a mutually agreed upon price that was very fair. The serviceman who arrived, Richard French, was prompt, professional and courteous. He examined both furnaces carefully and made some helpful comments regarding the vents in the house. I was very pleased and would highly recommend this company.

I scheduled an appointment the day before the service. I spoke to a lady, but I don't remember her name. She scheduled an appointment for 10-12 on 9/30 and took my information down. At noon, I hadn't heard from them, so I called and spoke with Jeremy. He didn't have the appointment in his computer, but found it scheduled for a week later. He said she must have hit the wrong calendar date on the computer. I had to give my phone number again as well. In any event, Jeremy said he would send someone out right away. Rob came out within 20 minutes. He was nice, courteous, thorough, and informative. There was a worn out part he replaced and we signed up for a yearly service contract. Overall, it went very well.
Description of Work: 1) Checked noise coming from one of the HVAC ceiling registers with filters. 2) Checked all ceiling filters. 3) Serviced both air conditioning units by cleaning them and checking parts. 4) Looked in the attic and replaced a part in the attic that was worn out.

My son and daughter-in-law contacted them. They did a good job. They gave us a discount as we were Angie’s customer. We were happy with their service and continue to use them. I will be calling the Yes Man for future services.
Description of Work: They said that they would tune up my a/c for $49.00 . What a joke. I have an old unit. Right off the bat he wanted to sale me a new unit. He even had a sales man come and and pitch me. Instead I settle for an acid wash. The a/c runs a lot cooler but I did not like being pressured into buying a new a/c that would of cost me 6 to $8000.00. I have lived here for ten years and thought it was time to at least a tune up. He saw that the fan was leaking oil. He didn't offer to fix that. Far as I know it is still leaking.

Jim Shiver came over today and did a thorough review. It is rare to find someone so professional and personable, but he was just wonderful. (Even the cats liked him.) He explained things to me clearly but without talking down to me. We will continue to use Aire-Serv.

All they wanted to do was sell us a new unit. They were nice enough, but I thought that they were supposed to clean the unit but they sure didn’t get interested in doing that at all. I don’t know why they had 2 people here; they had a salesman and a technician arriving in separate vehicles, and I really didn’t understand that. I don’t think it takes 2 people to check out a unit. They were here on time and the girl on the phone was very pleasant. The technician was very good.
Description of Work: I used Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning of Southern Las Vegas. All they did was just check it out. A part of the agreement was that they were supposed to clean it which they did not do.

Everything was fine. The workers were professional. They knew what they were doing. They gave suggestions, which might help in the future. I thought they were great. They were right on time and they were here when they said they would. They did a good job. They explained what they were doing and what I should be doing to make sure I would not have problem in the future. I would use their services again in the future.
