I didn't like there price to replaced the parts knowing I could get the parts for less and install them my self. They tried to sell me a special service contract but didn't see a need for it.

Overall a great experience. The young lady who took my information was going to put me on the list for a tune up but when I expressed concern over the performance of the unit she said she could get some one to look at it the next day. The service technician who showed up was professional, friendly and helpful. They did exactly what they said they'd do.
Description of Work: The service tech showed up exactly when promised. I especially appreciated this since I know at this time of year in Vegas they must be extremely busy. He checked out our unit and pronounced it to be in good working order but also made a couple of simple suggestions as to how it could be made to run more efficiently (simple things that could be done by me). He explained that although it was working correctly a Tempstar was not a top of the line/Cadillac unit and when the temps got into the one-teens it would have to work hard to keep the house cool. The tech was friendly, professional and helpful. When it was over he took my Angie's List $53 discount coupon in payment for a $49 service call (he wouldn't give me the $4 in change though).

We took advantage of an Angie's List "$49 for a Seasonal Heating OR A/C Tune-Up." Although I misunderstood the order details which limited the service to $49 per unit, the value of the deal was still acceptable. Jim, the A/C tech, honored the coupon I'd purchased, and assessed the 3 additional units at the same rate. I initially emailed the contractor, but didn't receive a reply so I followed up with a phone call. A timely appointment was scheduled for the next day, and Jim the serviceman, arrived promptly. Jim assessed our thermostats, our return air ducts, and serviced the 4 A/C condensers. I was pleased with the service performed, and will be contacting this contractor again to set up a maintenance plan for the future.

They were prompt and professional and very knowledgeable. They were able to tackle the oddities of an older home with ease and made very smart and helpful recommendations on how to improve the system without taking the costly step of upgrading it across the board. Their follow up visit to perform the work went smoothly and the work was done well. I continue to be very satisfied with the adjustments they recommended and made.

Jim showed up on Sunday 2 hours after I called. Exactly on time. I had renters moving in and the A/C went out. He needed to replace the motor, but unfortunately, he didn't have the motor my unit needed on his truck. He told us he could do it first thing in the am. I said ok and left the rental property. I was feeling really bad for my renters with their 2 month old baby. Later that evening I received a call from Jim and he was informing me he had his boss contact someone so he could get the motor on Sunday night!! Wow to my delight he finished the job that same day. Where do you get customer service like that these days

Reuben, the technician arrived and serviced the 2 air conditioners in about an hour. He told me that the one was fine but the contactor should be replaced on the other one. Sine it cost several hundred dollars I said I would call for an appointment in about a month. I scheduled an appointment for 2pm on Friday afternoon. When the technician hadn't arrived by 3pm I called and was told he probably wouldn't be there until 6pm. I canceled and rescheduled for Monday between 10am and 12pm. Again no technician by 1pm. I called and was told he was running late. I told them I would call and reschedule again. Several minutes later the owner called me and promised they would be there at 10am the following morning and the contactor would be replaced at no cost due to my inconvenience. True to their word they were there at 10am and replaced the part at no cost. Customer service like this is almost unheard of in Las Vegas! I definitely will use Aire Serv for all my future air conditrioner service.

I scheduled An A/C tuneup with Aire Serv Heating & Air for June 4, 2012 @ 4;00 pm. At 3;00 pm , I recieved a call saying they would need to reschedule. I had already made adjustments in my schedule to be home for this appointment, so this was very inconvenient for me. I was hesitant to reschedule as it occurred to me that they might also cancel the next appointment. I did reschedule for June 6. Dave, the service tech arrived on time and was very knowledgable and competent. I was very pleased with the service he provided. The only negative was the late cancellation of the first appointment.

The company phone service is very courteous. Rich showed up on time and performed a seasonal AC tune up. We found him to be professional. He was nice enough to explain various elements of the system to me, answered all questions, and did a thorough job of testing and cleaning the system particularly spending time cleaning the condenser coil outside. Would use this company again.

When he checked it on the inside, he discovered that the capacitor needed changed. He changed it for me, which was an additional fee and a service call. After consulting a friend that's in the business and learning that this was a pretty inexpensive part (about $10), I was pretty shocked of the mark up. He was going to discontinue the call and leave when I questioned it, but I convinced him to stay and check the outside unit, too. He told me what else was wrong with my outside unit, and truthfully told me what the prices would be for the outside repairs. I think their prices are outrageous! I've already made an appointment with another company who provided me a much lower estimate for the same work that Aire Serv was looking to do.
Description of Work: I had a $49 Big Deal for an AC tune up. They came and checked my air conditioning, which is about 18 years old.

I purchased an Angie's list deal for this service. Although I could not schedule immediately, I was impressed that the company called within several days of the purchase to set up an appointment. When I did schedule in advance to take advantage of a scheduled day off, I received a call prior to the appointment advising me of a cancellation and giving me the opportunity to move my appointment up if I was interested. On the day of the appointment, I received an email confirming my appointment and technician and even showing me a picture of the technician. I particularly appreciated this as a single woman who is cautious about opening my door to strangers. The technician, Jim Shiver, was prompt, courteous and thorough. He advised me of a minor problem but explained the testing results to assure me that there was no action needed at that time. He gave me the opportunity to purchase a service contract for the year, which I did. A pleasant and professional experience from start to finish.

My friend (a senior citizen) was having issues with her air conditioner. Everyone quoted her a fee for just walking in the door. I saw Aire Serve on Angie’s list and told my friend about they great reviews. They were called out to inspect her air conditioner. Aire Serve stopped by and diagnosed the problem at no charge. It turned out to be a faulty thermostat. They recommended a new thermostat and installed it for a minimal fee. It is heartening to know that there are still business’s who take care of their customers, and don’t take advantage of a vulnerable senior who needed their expertise. They were honest, knowledgeable, and we would highly recommend this company. They deserve the Super Service Award!

He was very good. He was on time. He said he would be here at 7 o’clock and he was here right at 7 o’clock. He was careful not to mess our clean carpet and clean floors. He was very knowledgeable of what he was doing. He explained everything. After he was done, he gave some recommendations. He was reasonably priced.

Initial call set the appointment up for a Thursday afternoon. After leaving work to await the service, it turned out that no one was assigned to my address. The tech on-call was Jim, he made all efforts to find out what happened. However, no one was able to attend to the appointment. Jim advised me to call the office in the morning. When I did, T apologized for the error and made all efforts to provide me with an appointment that was convenient for me. The actual call was made on that Sunday with Jim. I was extremely pleased with his work and explanation of what was being done. I was so pleased that I purchased an Advantage Plan. to ensure that I would get needed seasonal check ups. I believe that errors can occur at any time - the real service is judged in how the company recovers from the error.

We had a service call by a competitor for a malfunctioning HVAC unit and were advised to replace the compressor. Seeking a second opinion, we called Aire Serv on a Saturday and received a call immediately. We explained that this was not an emergency and that we would wait to schedule the service call during normal business hours. Rich French came out and diagnosed the problem immediately: sabotage. A knowledgeable individual has mis-wired or disconnected wires so that the unit would not function. Rich reconnected the wires properly and we're back in business! It's refreshing to find an honest service company, and we highly recommend Aire Serv!

We have found that the Aire Serv employees that we had contact with to be very professional, from Tee at the front office, Josh the supervisor, and Richard the technician. Tee gave us a heads up telephone call to inform us that Richard was delayed in picking up a part and gave us a new time that he would be arriving. Richard called us to inform us when he was on his way. They wore booties before they enter the house and they clean up when they are finished. They do not waste your time and do a thorough and professional job. They answer all questions that you may have and go above and beyond what is expected.. In summary, Aire Serv employees arrived on time, listened to our explanation of the problems, and brought in their ladder and went up into the attic to make the inspection of the heating units. They turned the units on and off and determined what the problem was. In our case, one furnace control board (circuit board) was not functioning properly and needed to be replaced. The other furnace had shut off on its own so they restarted it. Richard explained why it probably shut off (not changing the filter often enough). After Aire Serv gave us an estimate of the cost of replacing the circuit board (not cheap) and the recommendation to have the units cleaned, we gave the okay. They needed to pick up the new circuit board and returned the next day to install it and to do the cleaning of the units. They informed us of the NV Energy WCC switches that can be installed to save energy on the air conditioning units. We gave the okay fo install them in the attic. They also inspected our two air conditioning units outside, found no problems, and washed them down. Ricahrd stayed late to finish the job. We were happy, satisfied, and relieved that all was well.
Description of Work: We called Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning of Henderson, NV, to give us an estimated cost of fixing problems related to two heating units in our attic. One unit stopped heating (no fan and no activity), and the other unit's fan was blowing but with no heat. They arrive on time. The supervisor, Josh, and technician, Richard, listened as you explained the problems and conducted an inspection and located the problems, informed us what was wrong, and gave us an estimate. Due to the late hour of the day, Richard returned the next day to replace a furnace control board, thoroughly clean the furnaces, installed two NV Energy WCC switches, which were rebate specials, and inspected our two outside air conditioning units and washed them down. We also took advantage of a discount coupon and specials found on Angie's List. We were very satisfied with the service provided by Aire Serv and will use them again. Our neighbor intercepted them when they arrived at our house and called their office to make an appointment for an air conditioning checkup. Our neighbors ended up recommending them to their friends in the neighborhood.

I have a 16-SEER Trane that is less than two years old. However, the company who sold and installed it, I found out after the fact, was notorious for using noncertified, unqualified workers. I reviewed my concerns with Rich French when he arrived, asking him to look things over well to insure that all existing equipment looked okay. He did find and fix a wiring issue that was needed for appropriate 2-stage operations, which I greatly appreciated. He hosed off the coil and even gave my new evaporative cooler, still unused, a look see. Rich wore shoe coverings when he entered my house to check the digital thermostat operations and to review the results of his inspection, a nice touch as many reviewers note about many company staff. He was an excellent communicator, both knowledgable and competent in his professional capacity.

While they were tuning up my A/C system, they found a problem with the contactor and told me that I should replace it. In the same day, they got the contactor for me and replaced it at a good price. The technician was very knowledgable and professional.
