The service was done very well. They finished the work fast and replaced the part in just 15 minutes. They are very professional as they come right away when called and fix the problem right away as well. I will definitely use them again.

Turns out I bought the wrong deal and meant to buy a plumbing one, so I'm exchanging them. But they were very good on the phone and I'd use them in the future.

The lady representative who took my call this morning was amazing! Wouldn't it be nice if everyone was that positive and respectful! Repairman Adam Thompson arrived earlier than the scheduled appointment. That worked out great for me- the sooner the better. Upon troubleshooting why my gas heating system was not putting out heat, Adam came to the conclusion that it was a bad circuit board. Upon giving me a quote of $600 to replace the faulty board, Adam went and got the board and returned back to my house within an hour or so. Upon installing the board, my gas heater still did not work. It was at this moment that Adam noticed that the problem was actually the igniter. Adam installed the old board, and replaced the faulty igniter. The total cost of the repair ended up being $283. What I find rewarding about my experience today was that Adam could have easily charged me for both the board and the igniter, but instead, when he discovered that the problem was something else after the fact, he removed the new part that I didn't need, installed the original part, and replaced exactly what I needed. That, my friends, is called being ethical. Troubleshooting is not an exact science. I don't blame Adam for not finding the problem on the first round. Adam did the best he could, and rather than charge me for a part that I didn't need, he chose to do the right thing. Now I understand why this company is one of the highest rated companies on Angle's List. I know this probably doesn't matter to a lot of people, but Adam prodigiously put on and took off his booties so as to not soil my carpet. And his booties were actually new! Just when you start to contemplate whether or not you'll be taken to cleaners again, along comes Adam, someone who has restored my faith in my fellow human being. Thank you Adam, and thank you Air Serv for a job well done!

I was just concerned with the heater because it was so old and everything but he told me it was fine. He was just very fast as if he was in a hurry. The price was very good.

there was serious screw-up at first, the man sent to do the work was late, extremely difficult to understand, left the job incomplete with parts and electrical scattered inside the house, never called then turned up at 8pm the next night. in contrast to that horror story, Reuben who had done the initial examination of our system, stepped in and ramrodded the work to finish. he went through each item that had been done again ensuring that all was done properly. he was the last to leave that night and came back the next day to check the operation of the system. this is the kind of service and serviceman one hopes to find but rarely do, he took complete responsibility on behalf of the company owners for screwup and profusely apologized. these are people to depend on

Very friendly and patient on the phone. Punctual and professional for the initial visit. Didn't pressure sell me or push anything on me. Answered all my questions. Inspected my old unit and explained how the new one would differ. Included all possible discounts and coupons available (including the Angieslist one that other contractors suggested I 'buy' online first so I could show it when their consultants showed up) before I asked and most importantly, for no charge. Service was started the very next morning. Installers showed up promptly on time and were very professional. The were thorough and tidy with picking up and removing any and all mess. The install they did was dramatically better than what was done on the initial unit. When it came time to test the unit and walk me through how to operate it, he was very patient and knowledgeable. Granted, I went with the wifi console that was suggested (talk about super easy even without the Smart App), but still many times I've been tossed a manufactures manual as the employee bails out the door. Was refreshing that Aire Serv took the time to make sure I was confident and satisfied with their service.

Good service. The provider showed that the capacitor did not meet current voltage requirements. He also recommended that the blower of one unit be cleaned and gave an estimate. Since the cost of the cleaning seemed high, we opted to shop around to compare prices.

My favorite plumber not open on Sat. so I called Aire Serv. Arrived on time, I explained symptoms, and Ruben troubleshot. Problem was the electric ignitor. He had an old one in the truck that fit my system and installed it. Things work fine now.

Originally the serviceman turned everything off to let the ice melt that had formed on the unit. When that didn't work because everything "refroze" he came back on a very timely basis and added freon. Very courteous, adapted to my schedule, and was very knowledgable.

In May I asked for a check-up of the original A/C system, which I knew was old (20 yrs) and needed frequent service. After the check up I asked the tech for a proposal for a new system. The proposal was consistent with what I expected, so I accepted it. The tech then installed the new blower motor and scheduled the installation of the new condenser for the following week. The installation went as scheduled. One crew showed up to remove the old system, place the new condenser in place, and install new coils and housing.. Later the same day a second tech showed up to hook up the new system. When we turned the system on it worked fine. It responds slightly slower than the original system but works well. Two minor glitches. When the city inspector first inspected the completed work, he assumed a gas line had been opened which had not. Opening the line would have required adding a sediment trap in the line to comply with new code. And the inspector felt the new compressor was not properly placed on the base pad. He failed the inspection. When I reported that to AireServ there was a little confusion and delay before it was resolved. In late June it passed the second inspection. Then in July, during a hot spell, the compressor became very noisy and stopped cooling. AireServ sent a tech, who explained the problem to us and made a minor adjustment to the coolant pressure. That was five months ago and the system continues to work fine.

My heater went out on Christmas Eve. I didn't want to bother them on Christmas, so I waited until Friday to call and schedule an appointment. The gentleman I spoke with said he would have someone out between 4:00pm and 6:00pm. At 6:05 I called to see what had happened, and spoke with Emily at the answering service. She said she would contact the tech and have him call me right back. I waited until 7:10, and since I had no call back I called again and spoke with Emily. I told her to just cancel the appointment. On Sunday evening, (2 days later) I received a call from the tech who apologized ans said he would be here between 7:00 and 8:00 the next morning. I received a call from Air Serv office to see if I wanted to re-schedule the appointment that I cancelled on Friday. I told her the whole story, and she said the tech was 'let go', and if I wanted to reschedule I could. At this point, I told her I would find another provider since I wasn't sure if they would actually show up this time.

They were punctual and courteous. They did a good job. I will use them next year.

On time, did their inspection. life moved on. Yay.

I bought the seasonal heating tune-up coupon for $49. The tech who came Friday morning said that I needed 3 repairs at additional cost. He switched me to the $88 Advantage Plan for an extra $39 so that I could get a 15% discount on each of the 3 repairs plus a Spring AC tune-up. Repairs #1 and #2 were completed, but repair #3 required ordering a part. I paid a total of $692 with repair #3 to be done when they got the part. Including the first $49 I paid for the coupon, my total cost at that point came to $741. On Tuesday I called the office and scheduled repair #3 for the following Tuesday. In the meantime, I did a little research to check on the amount I was charged for each repair. I saw a Youtube video of repair #1 to clean the small part listed on my bill and the total time it took to clean the part was 5 minutes, yet Aire Serv charged $106 to clean it. I found the replacement part listed on my bill for repair #2 on Amazon for under $35 and watched a video on Youtube showing the part removed and replaced within 1 minute. The charge by Aire Serv for repair #2 was $241. I couldn?t find much about repair #3 for which Aire Serv charged $306, but based on what I had learned about the first two charge amounts, I felt that it would be wise to cancel repair #3. All of the charge amounts I have quoted here were after the 15% discount was applied. I called Aire Serv on Friday to cancel repair #3 and complain that I was overcharged for repairs #1 and #2. The manager agreed to refund the $106 charge for repair #1 and half of the Advantage Plan charge ($44) since I would not be getting the Spring AC tune-up plus a refund of the $306 pre-paid charge for the cancelled repair. After the refund my final cost was $241 for repair #2 plus $44 for half of the Advantage Plan charge making the total I paid $285. The manager?s rationale for the charges for repairs #1 and #2 was that he needed to make a profit. He said that just to send the tech with the truck to my house cost him $130. If that is true then I think this company should not offer a $49 coupon if it has to make up the cost using excessive charges. I do not feel that charging $106 for a 5 minute task and $241 for a $35 part and a 1 minute task can in anyway be considered less than excessive. To my way of thinking, I was subjected to a deceptive pricing scheme and it was a mistake to not get a second opinion before having any work done. I would not recommend that anybody call this company, but if they do, they should get an estimate and make sure to get a second opinion before paying any substantial amount to have work done by them.

I have used Aire Serve for a couple years now, buying their yearly maintenance package via Angie's List. They performed the service well and provided good feedback at each visit with no up charging. Recently, one of my heat pumps stopped blowing warm air. Dispatch was able to schedule a service call that day. The tech methodically walked through a troubleshooting process and reset the alert thus restoring heat. All at no cost, thanks to being an Angie's List member, and that I am on a service package with them. I will continue to be a loyal customer.

The tune up went fine and there was nothing further recommended.

I've hired this company twice and dealt with both Ruben and Chris. You know the feeling you get when you know, for a fact, you've hired on the right people to do a job? That's how I feel with this company. On both of my experiences, I've found their techs to be courteous, personable and knowledgeable. On my most recent job, I was bracing for some serious issues after a handyman created some issues on a unit he installed. But Ruben made quick work of it and everything was just fine. I highly value this company and refer them to my friends. It is nice when someone shows up to your house on time and in a good mood to get the issues taken care of. That's Aire Serve in a nutshell.

I bought a service call for my heating unit pre--season checkup. Aire Serv was here in 2 days. Don was the technician. He arrived right on time and it was obvious from the beginning he knew his job and was very knowledgeable in his trade. He took extra time to explain to me in simple terms I could understand about purchasing a new HVAC unit for in the near future since my unit is over 20 years old. I asked for this information and he was very patient and thorough. I would definitely use this company again for my A/C heater needs.

At my annual checkup, the Aire Serv technician showed me that the face-plate on my furnace was cracked, presumably a dangerous situation. As the furnace was 20 years old, I opted to get a new furnace rather than invest a couple thousand dollars (the price quoted to me by the technician) in a repair. I obtained a quote from Aire Serv that seemed reasonable, i.e., neither particularly high nor low based on my research, and asked them to go ahead with the job. I had selected an Amana furnace with a variable speed fan, which was about $400 more than a single-speed. Supposedly, the variable speed is more efficient because it matches the heat output with the amount of heat required to maintain the temperature set at the thermostat. After the technician finished installing the new furnace, he looked at my thermostat (a Honeywell programmable that I was perfectly satisfied with) and informed me that in order for the variable-speed system that I had just bought to operate in its most efficient mode, I would need a different thermostat that would cost me an additional $207. Since it would have been ridiculous to have spent an extra $400 on the furnace and not get the full benefit of it, I had the new themostat replaced. However, I did complain to Jermey, Aire Serv's general manager, that I thought his price quote to me should have included the possibility of replacing my existing thermostat. (My feeling was that, had I known I was talking about more than $600 extra for the variable speed system, I might not have made that decision.) Jeremy apologized for not letting me know about the thermostat and offered me two options to help make the situation right, both of which were fair. I selected one and am now satisfied that I was well-treated by Aire Serv and have no reservations about recommending them to anyone looking for a competent service company. (I changed to an annual Aire Serv service contract a year ago because I felt that my previous servicer was always trying to sell me something. I don't get that impression with Aire Serv.) I selected Aire Serv because of its good write-ups on Angie's List.

Adam came out to the house and was extremely informative and professional. He even put on shoe covers before I asked. I bought the tune up service and luckily I had no problems with my unit. It's the original unit and it had never been serviced before so I was thankful for Adam's honesty and recommendations on how to maintain air quality within the home since we have dogs. Great service!!!

Fast to schedule visit. Showed up when promised. Very nice and professional serviceman. checked everything out, pointed out issues due to age of furnace and recommended protective steps. I will use them again and highly recommend them to you all.

I found an alternate deal with them that was a better value.
