Chris from Aire Serv came out to our house at 6AM and told us the company who was working on the unit before did not install the fan properly, it flew off the motor within the unit, and dented the fins inside the unit. Also the other company installed a Hard Start kit, and it was laying there, not secured onto the unit. Chris replaced the fan blade, mounted the Hard Start kit correctly, and the unit is good for another couple years. I highly recommend this company.

I wasn’t pleased. I had to call somebody else to do the job right. I had to call my home warranty and I ended up calling a local company to do the annual service. The other company messed it up and made excuses. They gave me a bid for an acid wash and I did the acid wash and they charge me three times as much what another company charged me. It seemed like it was arose to get you to do the low price for them to come out and service it and then they kinda check it and say you needed to do this and do that and it was a high price for the acid wash. It was $640 to do three units and that was with the so-called discount and that was after paying the initial $50 for each unit initially. Another company came back and did the whole thing for $129 and corrected some of the thing that Air Serv did. I called them back about hey your guy left this morning and now my air conditioner doesn’t work and they didn’t respond at all. It worked before they got here.

They came out again this year but I didn't buy the service through Angie's List, I think the guy left his card. I wasn't as happy with the service but it had nothing to do with Angie's List. The time that I used them before, they were really great. I think they have had a change in management and they were trying to get me to buy this annual membership. It wasn't through Angie's that I called them. I definitely wouldn't call them again because I wasn't that happy. This time I didn't like them because they gave me a high quote on something. I was not happy. Both times, the cost was very reasonable. I would give them an A because it was the same guy that came out the first time. He was very pleasant. I wouldn't use them again in future and the reason is, I don't know if they have changed policies but I just felt like I was getting bush whacked by the heavy price. They guy that did come out said that what they said was right but they haven't slept it right. They sent somebody that could barely speak English. No reflection on him but it just didn't work out.

They came out about the time I bought the big deal. He has been out here twice and he is really a nice guy. He was the nicest guy.

Aire Serv came out later that morning. Chris quickly found that a kick start installed by another company had exploded. He could not tell me why it happened, as he says it never happens. He said in 20 years he has seen this maybe twice. After he left, it worked fine, until the next morning. I called again and Don came out later that morning. Don assessed that the compressor was going as well as a mother board. The cost would be $4,000 to repair both. Our unit is almost 9 years old and not that efficient. I asked Don to give me a price for a new unit. I knew it would be pricey. Don gave us a new 5 ton air conditioner, new furnace and thermostats. As I trusted them I did not get a second price or opinion. Another company I had used before Aire Serv had sent me a coupon to buy my old unit for $1,800, but I did not trust them as I do Aire Serv. In reading the reviews after, I may have received a discount for getting a second opinion or perhaps not financing it as I did. My fault for not raising it and it was never offered. They may have also offered free inspections on the unit, but didn't. What I did get was life time warranty on compressor and heat exchange and 10 years parts and labor.. The new unit is very quiet and is keeping my energy use below the average household, when it was above it with the old unit. So far very happy over the last few weeks. It appears that for that unit I may qualify for a tax credit and looking into a rebate from Nevada Energy, but we may have had to use one of their recommended contractors. Aire Serv is not on the list, but my want to look into getting on the list if it does not cost them., as this will help defray some of the costs. They scheduled the new unit installation that day, but were later than scheduled. Ralph and Alex worked about 6 hours in the heat putting in the unit. The next day my wife noticed that some of the rooms were warmer than others. We called them to come out to check it and Don found that one of the zones was not connected or came loose. He fixed it quickly. I was honestly surprised more problems did not occur, as hard and as long Ralph an Alex worked putting in the unit. They didn't finish until about 10:00 p.m. Again, we are very pleased with the unit, but not sure I did the right thing by not getting another quote, as I trusted them to do the right thing.

Our perfectly running 11 year old top of the line Trane A/C Unit has never been serviced, so we purchased a 21 point inspection from “Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning” If I could give this company a triple F rating I would. July 6, 2016 “Joshua from Aire Serv” came to our home and in less than 10 minutes he came down from the roof with 3 things in his hands that looked like large 9 V batteries called Capacitor. They actually give the unit a jump start. He said he had some very bad news for us. Our hearts dropped when he said our unit would not make it through the summer and was not worth getting fixed. Sad to say we thought we were getting a 21 point inspection but instead we got a salesman pitch to buy a new unit from him and of course if we purchased the unit from him he would give us a discount. "I have it all on tape." He was also supposed to wash out the coil but instead he ran a hose over it, took a picture of the dirty water running down the sidewall but did not show us the coil. Then claimed it needed to be acid washed. Next he had the ridiculous idea to ask me if he should put our unit back together in working order like it was. After he left I would have changed the 3 capacitors that totaled $85.41 being they were simple enough to do but with my disabilities I could not get on the roof. Fortunate for us our neighbor knows about this stuff and did it for us. Joshua on the other hand wanted $558. to change the 3. I really don't think this was a valid reason to replace our air conditioner unit which would have cost at least $14,000. or more. Back to Joshua the second time he came off the roof he showed us some dark pictures of condensers and said they needed to be replaced but I had him leave. Then oddly 2 days later the unit broke and we lived without air for a few days in this heat wave. We are old and disabled so this heat made us sick, barely able to talk and all we could do was lay there. We called “AIR CITY 702-248-2489” a company known for their code of Ethics” Integrity, Truthful, Honesty and Quality work, who only goes by word of mouth and does not advertise. 2 different times Air City remarked on how beautiful our Top of the line Trane Unit is. Still better than a lot of the newer units plus it’s very clean, looks like new. It was a lot different report than what Joshua from Aire Serv was trying to sell us. It is strange we never had a problem for many years and now we had no air because of a loose wire in an area no one was near when we replaced the 3 capacitor. Anyway we also had “AIR CITY” change the fan motor which Aire Serv recommended. "AIR CITY" said nothing else wrong with our unit and from now on “Air City 702-248-2489” which is building their reputation with honesty and great work will have our business. Fantastic!! I selected Aire Serv after reading a previous customer's comments who was experiencing the same 'leaky coolant' problem. I called the firm, asked for the same technician and the very next morning he was at my home and began the search. I've never seen anyone quite as determined as Ruben was to locate the problem, propose a solution and move forward toward making my home comfortable again. He spent a solid few hours investigating the outside unit for leaks, the attic unit for the same thing and finally located the villain in a secondary coil upstairs! I authorized replacement of the unit and they sent out two techs (employees) to remove the bad unit and install the new and finished what could have been a 4 to 6 hour job in less than 3 hours (they knew it was a work day for me!) All these techs worked under horrible conditions with limited space in the attic, over a hundred degree days and displayed unbelievable stick-to-itiveness with attention to keeping the job site clean and damage free!! I will recommend this firm to anyone and everyone requiring any HVAC work performed. Thanks to Ruben, Ralph and Alex for exemplary work, decent pricing and over the top effort...you're the best! PS...there was no charge for the first day's efforts if I selected not hem for the install...this would have been hundreds and hundreds more dollars with other companies and they only proposed replacing the damaged equipment and not some huge unnecessary upsell so often experienced by customers in need.

Don was our serviceman, I believe Myra answered the phone... both were AAA+++ professional and courteous. They showed up right on time, between 4:30-6:30, SAME DAY! The technician was professional and on time. He didn't try to upsale me on anything I didn't need.

I'm more than satisfied that I got a fair price and excellent service. Tues, June 28, 2016 I realized that the A/C, although blowing, wasn't cooling the house. I looked on Angies List for a locally owned company and found Aire Serve with hundreds of positive reviews. I called an talked to Bernadette at the office and, although Vegas was going through an extreme hot spell, with lots of A/C calls; she was able to fit me in at the end of the day on Wed June 29th. The tech, Ruben came out at 6:30P (no overtime charge) and thoroughly checked out the A/C. It's a very big, somewhat old unit that was originally put in almost 30+ years ago and had been updated about 12yrs ago. Ruben said there was NO gas showing. It should have had 12+ Lbs and it was 0, zip. He was quite the detective. He showed me all the different places the gas escapes from. But, since he didn't see and obvious oil-type stains outside the unit, he surmised that it might be the connection right at the condenser. He did a Nitrogen gas test and heard the leak. He then disassembled a pretty large sheet metal covering to get to the compressor and there he found a leak that had been caused by years of a metal strap that had slowly punched a hole in the pipe to the compressor. I was impressed how thorough Ruben had been about finding that small hole. Ruben gave me an estimated for the repair, explained my options and told me that to fix it completely he'd have to return the next day because this giant unit was going to take 12+ lbs of R-22. He didn't have that much with him. I contacted Bernadette the next morning to see when Ruben would return and she said that even though he was booked for the day, she'd find a way to have him back as early as possible. I was delighted that he was back on the job the next morning and after about 1.5 hrs had the A/C fixed and running really really well... actually better than it had been for years. He explained every detail, showed me the temperature and pressure readings and I felt completely satisfied that I had made the right choice in choosing Aire Serv. Often, I look at these reviews with some skepticism. But, I can tell you this was the real deal. It was a fair price and excellent work. They'll always have my HVAC business. - David S.

Just had to do a replacement of air conditioner and furnace as I had a leak coming through ceiling in the garage. As the system was 20 years old it wasn't a great surprise but finding a trustworthy company in LV isn't easy. Luckily a couple of years ago I had a experience with Aire Serve where they checked AC when it went out and I had been completely sure I would be told it couldn't be fixed. Was very impressed, came and checked, small bill repair and friendly service according to friend (I was out of town at the time) So when leak occurred and I found it was the furnace I first had another company handyman referred me to but wanted quote from Aire Serve also. Found Aire Serve had a much clearer and more comprehensive quote with form noting all the various things that would be included stated clearly (this would be a +$7000 job so very important to me I understood what was going on) Initial company wasn't bad but just two or three lines scribbled in without alot of info on what would be done and felt much more comfortable going with Aire Serve and feel it was the right choice. Service men arrived a hour earlier than promised and worked steadily for 8 hours putting in the fully system. Friendly, courteous and kept me informed of what was happening as they worked System included a new thermostat and they helped set it up on the phone and gave great explanations as to how it worked. Air working wonderfully, loving being able to schedule temperatures with the new thermostat and very pleased so far. Had a question on warranty manual note of type of Air/furnace combination and seer rating. Manager who made initial quote spoke to me on first attempt to call and within minutes sent me a certificate clearly explaining the seer rating on this particular system. Absolutely recommend and am pleased with this company. For a $7495 expense the feeling that they will follow through on promises based not just on their words but also actions lets me do this household expense without having the fear of no back up. Too many experiences in past where once you pay they suddenly disappear, nice to know it isn't the case with this commpany Very pleased and highly recommended

On the hottest day of the year, I noticed that although my outside AC unit was running, there was no cool air entering my home. I called Aire Serv and they dispatched a service man. In the time between my call and his arrival, the fan mysteriously started working again on its own and thus the problem could not be diagnosed. However, the next morning the same thing happened again and this time Aire Serv technician Dom arrived while the fan was still off. He checked things out and initially thought it was the circuit board (a pretty expensive repair) but then with some further expert sleuthing he determined that it was a much simpler and less expensive fix having to do with a fan switch. So today, Dom is my hero and I would highly recommend that you call him if you need AC service.

Chris from Aire Serv came out and found the compressor on my A/C shorted.? He was very professional, explaining what was wrong and gave me time to decide to have the repairs made.? I made a few calls to other companies and found the price was excellent? for the job he would be completing.?? I am glad I called Aire Serv.? I would call them again and recommend them to others.?

Our house is 19 years old. We've been here for three years, and have never had the HVAC units serviced, but haven't had any problems, either. (We have two "gas packs," combination furnace/air conditioners, on our roof, one for each floor of the house.) But I decided that I should have them checked out before something went wrong. Based on Aire Serv's strongly positive ratings on Angie's List, I selected them to perform annual service on our HVAC system. Ironically, three days before the appointment, the A/C for the second floor stopped working. So they sent out a technician that day. He looked at the unit, said that the problem was the compressor motor, and gave a quote of $900 to replace it. He said that the units were original to the house (i.e., almost 20 years old), and he strongly implied that even if we fixed the motor, something else -- like the condenser -- could go bad, and we'd have to replace the whole unit anyway. He quoted a price of $10,400 to replace the unit with a comparable Amana. I called my wife to discuss this, and I was about to go with replacing the whole A/C, but my wife suggested getting competitive bids. When I told the technician that we were going to get other bids, he immediately offered to lower the replacement price by 10%. When he came back into the house after putting his tools back in his truck, he said his manager had said they could do it for $8,400, nominally because I was an Angie's List member, and because I had said I was going to put it on a credit card, and wouldn't need financing. But within five minutes, the price had dropped by $2,000! I called another company, who came out and quoted only $450 for the repair, and only $7,500 for replacement. This was for a Trane unit, which I had discovered had a much better reputation than Amana. I went up on the roof with this company's tech, and saw the labels on the units with their manufacturing dates: 2005! So the A/C was not 20 years old or on its last legs! It was only 11 years old, well worth repairing. And this new company only wanted half the price of Aire Serv, so I had them replace the motor, and check out the other unit as well. If Aire Serv had only quoted inflated prices, I might have given them a better rating. I think that is somewhat shady, but not very unusual. But the fact that they lied to me about the age and condition of my A/C and tried to con me into replacing a unit that didn't need it is unacceptable. Obviously, I can't comment on the quality of Aire Serv's work, but I strongly suggest that if you do business with them you either haggle aggressively on the price or get competitive bids. And know that you are dealing with a company that was willing to mislead and lie to me.

Were not able to make the first appointment but they called me and we rescheduled, was not a problem. They also reduced the cost for the inconvenience. Were running slightly late for the window provided so they called to inform but they arrived within the original window anyway. Performed the AC service, added some freon, and everything was running fine. Was told we would need to watch out for the fan motor, that was the only potential problem they could forsee. Quick, reliable, no upsell and Ruben is a really great tech who knows what he is doing and explained what is going on.

Absolutely terrible. The air conditioning had been on and working fine. The condenser had been replaced (by them) a year ago and we had multiple problems with them then. At that time, supposedly all that needed to be done was replace the motor, but after he replaced the motor the circuit breaker tripped and he couldn't find where it was. When that was located and turned on it still didn't work and they decided I then needed a new condenser. I have no idea why my husband signed up to use them again. Anyway, on May 30 this year (Memorial Day--why were they doing routine check ups on Memorial Day--they were actually scheduled two days later and asked if they could come that day) Their technician arrived in an unmarked vehicle. Since I was expecting him I decided it was all right. He spent 5 minutes at the unit and came back and told me that the compressor was making noise that it shouldn't and needed to be replaced right away. I knew that this couldn't be true and asked him to leave. He wouldn't leave and started arguing with me. I ordered him off my property. He wouldn't leave until I threatened to call the police. Today I had Elite Heat and Air out. They originally installed the unit before we purchased the house. Their technician told me that everything was working as it should and the system was in great condition. Nothing needed to be done. I will never use Aire Serv and I would absolutely never recommend them. In fact, I will tell everyone I know to stay far away from them. I think you are doing your customers a great disservice by even listing them. Anything else I would say about them would be unprintable. Oh yes, they already know how I feel. Martha and J.D. Jenkins

Had AC and furnace inspected as part of the Silver Plan special advertised on Angies List. Bryan (technician) was very professional and provided good customer service. He found a few items that could cause issues in the future and provided estimates for some fixes. Was happy to see he did not pressure sell us things we don't need like some other companies we've used in the past. Another plus is that they send invoice and estimates as PDF's via email. Good to see companies that realize we're in the digital age now.

The air conditioner service was scheduled for April 20th. The technician (Bryan) serviced the unit and recommended the motor be replaced. We contacted the office to set up a date and time to replace the motor. The office staff were very professional and very helpful (Bernadette and Myra) and went out of their way to answer any questions and make sure the scheduling was at a convenient date and time . The technician (Bryan) replaced the motor and made sure everything was running smoothly - making any necessary adjustment. He was very professional and very thorough. We would highly recommend this company to anyone needing this type of service.

Ruben was my technician. He was thorough, knowledgeable and polite. He went ABOVE AND BEOYND the basic tune up. My Air conditioner is READY for the Vegas summer! I asked a lot of questions and enjoyed learning how Air conditioners work. YES I WILL USE AIRE SERVE AGAIN!

Nothing. Last fall, I had same problem. I set up an appointment for a routine maintenance check November, 2015. The technician was too busy on the scheduled day and could not make it to my house. So the customer service person set up another time and date for the maintenance check. She stated that the following year, I would have an additional maintenance check for free due to the inconvenience. The technician did show at the next scheduled date last November and performed routine maintenance on the furnace. The service was fine. I called for a maintenance check in April of this year. The customer service rep did not mention anything about a free maintenance check. Apparently, she forgot about that. She stated the price was $99.00 for 2 checks. I didn't bother to argue about having been promised an additional check for free. I told the rep that I paid $88.00 last year. She stated if you paid $88.00 last year, then that's what we'll charge you this year. I made the appointment for 4/8/16. The rep showed up, but could not complete the maintenance on the A/C because it was raining. He stated a technician would come out the following Saturday, 4/16/16. I called Aire Serv a few days prior to the appointment to confirm. The customer service rep stated that a technician would be out on 4/16/16 between 9-11am. No one showed up. $88.00 is a great price for 2 maintenance checks. But its not worth it if no one shows up. Their service is unreliable. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They were okay. We didn't have any issues. The air conditioner is working. They came when they said they would. We would use them again.

Ruben was great. After talking about questions I had, he performed the service. Went over everything at the end. Signed up for a yearly maintenance plan since I was very satisfied with the interaction.

The technician arrived exactly when promised. He did a professional and thorough inspection of both our air conditioning and heating systems. He answered all our questions with a smile. We were very pleased and will definitely use their services again. There were no problems at all. I would give Reuben an A++.
