Elite Pool Cleaning Service

Kevin was great for almost 2 years and then I called him to take a look my pool heater that wasn’t heating properly. Kevin said the issue was that the pool heater’s small leak had now grown to be a big deal and that the thermoster wasn’t working properly and that’s why the heater wasn’t working and to add to the problem my pool pump also doesn’t work. (This is my vacation home so I rely on what I’m told) I called our home warranty and they replaced the pump but wouldn’t fix heater because there was no check valve between the heater and the recently installed chlorinator (which I installed myself) and told no check valve is needed if I run my pump 24/7 We both knew about the small pool heater leak from long before the chlorinator was installed. So when I told the warranty people that the chlorinator was recently installed and that it had no relevance to why the pool heater was leaking. The home warranty company asked for a letter stating that from Elite pool cleaning (Kevin). Kevin refused to write the letter as he didn’t want to deal with a home warranty company. So now, without confirmation from my pool maintenance company, I now have to fork out over $650 to get it fixed when it could have cost me nothing extra. I called him out on this and asked why, he replied I’m pushy and doing my pool maintenance to which I’ve already paid for the whole month. As a side note, with the pool pump fixed the heater works just fine other than the still “small leak” that’s still there. So Kevin was dead wrong about what the issue was. I am having the heater fixed anyways but thru a new pool maintenance company I can trust. My opinion now was that Kevin just wanted to get the repair job for the heater and the issue wasn’t near as bad as he was making it out to be. When he realized that the repair would go thru a warranty company, he didn’t want to write a letter. I’m much happier now.
