Elite Heating, Cooling & Plumbing

I have used Elite Plumbing and the their HAVC division for 8 or 9 years. Way before I joined Angie's List.

They were professional, explained options for later, since the units were reaching the ten year mark. Everything was good.

It went fine, very professional and nice. not exactly sure what the service was or why or what was performed. the ac makes a very loud sound when it shuts off and it still does. it wasn't diagnosed and no suggestions were made on how to. The tech didn't seem to "fix" anything or change anything. so I wont being using this service again

It is so great to deal with company that is able to send people right when they promise and when tehnician like Darby shows up at your door it does not get any better. I could see he had years of expirience under his belt and solved a problem within a minutes. Could not be more glad for hiring Elite. Would reccomend it to everyone.

The team was punctual and very clean. They took care of all the details and everything works great.

The technician started telling me that my units were being phased out (conversation was heading towards wanting me to buy 2 new units). Then, I was told that an item was broken, with the cost to replace plus cost of Freon, I was looking at a minimum of $850.00. I explained I just wanted the tune up that I paid for, but since my units are on my roof, I don't believe this was done. He just wanted to point out the broken item. I had to call my home warranty company after paying $100.00 to purchase the coupon discount to Elite, then pay an additional $75.00 plus the cost of Freon to the company that my home warranty sent, total cost for the day was $400.00. A/C unit working slightly better now, but if the tune up had been done, it would probably be working a whole lot better. Since summer is almost over now, I will just wait until next Spring to research a more reliable company to do a proper tune up.

It went well. I liked their workmanship, honesty, and punctuality. Their bid was the lowest.

This was very good! They did work in the bathroom. The gentleman was very nice and the work was done very well. The man was very thorough and knowledgeable. He was even very neat and wore booties! He was very on top of everything and was very punctual. There was no problem. In fact, he worked a little over the two hours and did a really good job. They went the extra mile and the price was wonderful! He did $400 worth of work for $99! We were quite pleased with the whole thing!

On a Saturday summer night at 7:00 we noticed that half of our house was *85 degrees, even though the thermostat was set at 70. We new immediately that something was wrong with our 14 year old system. We called 6 air conditioning companies on Angie's List - the ones with the most positive reviews first, and on down the line. None of the first 5 answered their phones directly - we left messages with their services. The 6 company was Elite, and although it had many fewer reviews, they were all positive with an A rating., and they had an Angie's List service award. They actually answered our call and were here within an HOUR! The young service technician named JR could not have been nicer, more intelligent, more honest, or more knowledgable. He told us that we needed the fan replaced and not the whole unit. Since we couldn't see or hear the fan running we knew he was telling the truth. We heard the compressor running, and it sounds like it has a pebble in it. From a distance it makes a horrible grinding noise. I have worried about the noise it makes for quite awhile, and wondering if it is as annoying to our neighbors as it is to us. JR replaced the fan and then came inside to discuss all the options we have to partially replace, upgrade, or seriously upgrade our system. We've known this was coming, and have felt lucky our system has worked this long. We're the only house on our block that still has its original system. He sells Tran Air Conditioner systems and with his ipad and serious smarts was able to give us a whole presentation. He discussed all the costs, and the energy savings for each model. By the time he finished the whole house was cool. We knew then just how much our air conditioners have been straining to keep up, and why our electric bill just goes up and up each year. We've decided to replace our system one unit at at a time this Fall. JR was amazing - we were very lucky he came out on a Saturday night to our rescue!

They were knowledgeable, organized and timely. The product and price were as quoted. We would use them again.

It went fine. The plumber was at the home for 20 mins. doing the job.

It went poorly because they sent an email saying the deal is no longer being honored.

Alec was on time ,performed all the work and was very friendly .He didn't try to oversell the job ,

Pete was very professional, explaining and showing me everything he was doing and why he was doing it. He also gave me tips and recomandations on things around the house that he noticed WITHOUT trying to upsale me. I will use him again and recomend him to all my friends.

The tech told me it was'nt worth servicing,drawing borderline amperage.Also said condenser fan motor needed to be replaced.He charged the unit and replaced a capacitor.Informed me he would set me up with a $12,000 Trane,or a $10,000 Trane.Told him I'd think about it. Called an independent contractor,this tech informed me the fan was wrong along with it's motor,stock it had a 1050 rpm motor and three blade fan,I could see the motor was a rebuilt.I had him replace the motor and the fan with the correct parts.The unit gave me two more yrs. service,never failed, 21 yrs. I recently replaced the Hvac (furnace and ac) with a Rheem unit,rated #2 by Consumer reports,Trane #3. A 14.5 Seer ac,80 % efficent furnace,not as efficent as a Trane,but still reduced my gas bill highest month from $180 to $137,and heats great,I opted also for less efficient unit because the ductwork, return and supply, was the same. The ac is great,I can lower the thermostat to 78 from 80,and the electric bill, highest month ,still dropped from $190 to 160.Rheem cost $7500 I'm 65,maybe have 15 yrs. left,could I recover my investment in a Trane ?I'd be dead before I broke even. To many contractors want MAX profits,especally from SENIORS, who dont research the product or price compare.

We called Elite in the morning and they promised to have a tech at my house between 2-4 pm that same day. They called me again around 1:30 or so to tell me that the tech was running a little ahead of schedule and could be there around 2 pm, or maybe just a few minutes earlier. The tech Adam, arrived right on time. Adam was very friendly and knowledgable. He listened as I described the problem and asked a few questions so he had a clear understanding of the problem. 15 minutes later, the repair was done. A screw came loose on the blower motor not allowing it to work properly. Cost was $25. We have used Elite before and have always had this kind of outstanding service from them. They are amazing. They perform great work at a fair price. I will only use ELITE for my HVAC needs!

Carl the installer did a very good job. He went beyond the necessary to insure our A/C was working properly

It went well, Pete. new exactley what to do. He explained in detail what needed to be done and then got right to work. Pete was kind and professional. He also took a look at the kitchen faucet and made us feel comfortable. I would ude him again, and I have already refered him.

I was very pleased. The guy that came out was really, really nice. He acts very positive. I would definitely recommend them. They're competitive. When they came, they were supposed to put in a new thermos set too and they didn't, so they had to be called and come back out.

They were very professional. One plumber came out and it took about 10 minutes. I would tell my friends that they would provide a good service and honesty.

This was my first experience with an Angie's list contractor, needless to say I am not impressed. This situation is exactly what I am paying to avoid .

They failed to provide what they advertised. The scheduler and the technician were both courteous and professional. However, the technician was only on property for about a half hour and never entered my home. He did not check the thermostat or the air flow or do any other interior checks. He appeared to look at the electrical contacts and the fan and placed a meter on 3 of the wires. Most of the time was spent hosing down the unit to clear any dirt and cobwebs. He never performed the drain clean and did not appear to do much of anything else. I believe he lost interest when he realized my unit was in good condition and there was nothing he could sell me. I believe the advertised special is merely an opportunity to see if they can sell you a new unit. Save your money and hose down your unit yourself or hire a company that delivers what they promise.

Service was fantastic. I bought the deal, Elite contacted me to schedule an appointment, the plumber showed up during the scheduled two hour window (actually called 30 min in advance to let me know he was on his way), and the work was completed. Pete (the actual plumber) was a real pro. He even tolerated me presenting questions to him while he worked and took a look at a couple of other minor drip issues (put on booties before entering my home) I am having in my house so that he could be prepared with the parts once I scheduled those repairs.
