I knew the cartridges were out in my showers (hot water side not working, simple fix, 20 minutes max). I called my home warranty, and in true form, they wanted to make sure it wasn't my supply line that was out. They told me to call Dyno, and when they diagnosed the problem (and was not the supply line), I could call them back and they would issue the work order on the spot for Dyno to complete the work. We told this to Dyno when we scheduled the call. Dyno came out half an hour early (before I even got home), and diagnosed the problem as the cartridges needing replacing (as I already knew). They then demanded $45 for the diagnosis. My husband explained that he just needed to call the warranty and they would issue the work order, and that we will pay the warranty, not Dyno directly. Well the tech was none too pleased. My husband called the warranty, and they needed to speak with me on the phone (again, warranty in true form, they didn't have my husband on the policy yet). My husband called me and said that the tech was about to leave, and needed $45 for the service call. I'm trying to get home as quickly as possible, and the tech kept telling my husband that his office needed him to leave NOW (even though he was super early, and I needed to talk with the warranty). I finally got home, and before I had a chance to open my mouth, the tech comes up to me and says he needed a work order BEFORE he came out and he needs $45 for the diagnosis NOW. I told him, probably in a coarse tone, that I just needed to call the warranty and they would issue the work order, as we explained to them when we made the service call in the first place. I told him I am not paying $45 for a diagnosis that I already knew, when the fix would take 20 min and I would pay the warranty directly. I then immediately got on the phone to call the warranty, and while I was dialing, the tech LEFT. He just LEFT!!! I hadn't even gotten through to the warranty company when he was already driving away. This was even BEFORE the service window was to begin, so there was no way he was running late for another call, he was just done with us, and made no effort to fix the situation. When I got a hold of my warranty company, they were ready to give the authorization, but there was no tech to be found. My warranty company called Dyno FIVE TIMES with no answer. Funny, when my husband called them twice (before I had gotten home) they picked up very quickly to chew him out. Since my warranty couldn't get a hold of them, they sent me to Ideal Services, which were very lovely and would recommend them any day. My warranty also told me that I did everything correctly, as the warranty prescribed, and the tech should have stayed. This was a simple problem that did NOT need to be this complicated. They told us, to do the work without the warranty, it was $45 for the diagnosis, plus parts, plus $80/hour, and they don't pro-rate the hour. It would have cost us about $160 for a 20 min cartridge switch!!! Ideal Services did it in 5 minutes without complaint. I would NEVER recommend Dyno.

It went very well and we were very satisfied. They were very punctual and professional. They were kind and nice. I would recommend them to others. We were pleased with the work.
