Excellent!

Doing a master BR remodel. Decided to paint the entire house (inside). I supplied all paint and painting supplies. Painter only painted. Masking in some areas was done well, others not so much. They were great to respond to my requests, but I work full-time and couldn't be there all the time to watch for mistakes. They would paint the walls, over spraying onto the ceiling, then paint the ceiling, overspraying back onto the walls. Waste of paint, time, and labor. They were good to clean up overspray/missed areas, but the last day they were cleaning up and touching up I got the very distinct feeling the painter was tired of me 'nit picking.' Every question was 'when do I get paid?' I repeatedly stated, "when the job is done, as per agreement." After they finally left I found SEVERAL cover plates, outlets, switches that were painted. Some masked light fixtures had been pulled and wrapped but when the ceiling was sprayed he didn't spray well around the area so a 'shadow' of the old paint was still visible. I have spent a lot of time touching up work that should have been done correctly the first time. I had specifically requested that if a sprayer was to be used that the job be back rolled. It wasn't. I also requested paint be mixed to assure even color throughout. It wasn't. I would have thought little pin holes from nails/push pins would have been filled prior to painting (they weren't). I would suggest paying more and getting a better paint job. As for the drywall the price was good, but the good price came with a price. Every little thing was additional. Makes sense when the budget must have been tight to offer the pricing that was offered. Several electrical boxes were pushed back into the wall and cut out not very precisely, so I've had to do a lot of repair, patch, and work around those to get outlets and switches to sit correctly (I'm doing my own electrical work). Since completion I've found several areas of texture overspray on door frames that were subsequently painted over when the door frames were painted. Should have been wiped down, but was not. The price was good, he was good to get back with me on questions or issues, but I felt like I needed to be there constantly looking at things to make sure it was right. I'd rather pay a little more and know I could just have confidence the job would be done well, neat, and clean. As it is I'm still fixing some of the electrical box cutout issues. I'm not sure when I'm going to fix the door frame texture overspray, as it will require sanding the doorframe down and repainting. Nice guy. Responsive to my questions. You'd probably get a real good job if you were there constantly pointing out what you needed and expected. I didn't have the time to do that.
