It went well. However I recommend that all of the "I'll take care of that" conversations are in writing. Everything went well once underway & we were very please with the results.

Our experience with Barbara and her crew was excellent. We initially contacted her to redesign our kitchen. She came up with several plans and took the time to go though each option with us. Ultimately, we ended up combining a couple of the designs together. It changed the complete layout of my kitchen. They also removed a fireplace and replaced it with a new bar area. After we started the project it became evident that the prior homeowner took out a structural beam and my roof was starting to sag. Barbara and her team were able to come up with the needed solution. They took care of all of the details to get the problem fixed. Barbara was excellent with communication. She kept me informed on a regular basis as to what was being done. Even when there were problems or unforeseen delays, which always happens with major remodels, Barbara was able to find a solution and get the job done. Now we have a beautiful kitchen, brand new flooring throughout our home and a tasteful new structural support beam that looks fantastic and makes our home safe. I would not hesitate to use Barbara again in the future! Thanks! We now love our home again!!!

We were very satisfied. They gutted the bathroom and redid the whole thing. They removed the tub and put in just a shower. They showed up on time. They cleaned up after themselves. They kept in touch, let us know how the job was going. They were polite and professional.

I don't remmebr the exact dates that I called or the exact date of the e-mail, it would have been late January or eary Februray. Called and left messages on both of the companies listed telephone numbers and sent them an e-mail explaining that I would be remodling two bathrooms and requested that they contact me to set an appointment. If they have so much work and are currenlty to busy to accept new work, they should say so on their voice message. Too bad, because of their reviews on Angies List I really wanted to use them.

Barbara does listen to what you want to accomplish. Her crew is excellent and do great work. Barbara takes you shopping and guides you through the selection process to make your dreams come true. We were more than pleased with the work how the bathroom turned out. Working with Barbara was great. She is very professional, returns your calls,and is honest. Barb (owner/on-site manager) advised us on materials to use and how each was quality rated. Workers notified owners when they were arriving or leaving. Daily clean-up was always done. good job was done by all! Barbara designed an awesome bathroom with a gorgeous walk-in shower. Her crew of skilled workers are truly craftsmen.

Barbara at Designer Kitchen and Bath did a terrific job remodeling our kitchen. She helped plan the new cabinets and helped select the new granite and backsplash. Her employees were great keeping the dust and mess to a minimum while the old kitchen was torn out and then did a wonderful job on the installation. Leaving everything just about perfect. The price was also right at 22,000 which was less expensive than estimates from others. We weren't charged a penny more than our written estimate. The only downside -- it took a bit longer than expected and occasionally workmen were not on time.

I'm somewhat late submitting this interview (sorry Barbara). We actually started the project in the summer. We had Designer Kitchen & Baths come out and remove/replace the kitchen granite counters,sink, faucet, demo the existing laminate and tile flooring throughout the condo, install wood and carpet flooring, and install built in cabinets and counter tops for an office. They also did prep work on the existing cabinets to accommodate swapping out the old appliances for new ones. They did a great job. I'm not going to say that there weren't any bumps in the road on this project. There were, but we know from several remodel projects we have done in the past that that's to be expected. What sets Barbara and her folks above and beyond the other contractors we have had, is they fix whatever the problem is to your satisfaction without a bunch of grief. Overall, they were very punctual, clean, and did good work. As I indicated previously, our home is a condo and for these folks to complete such a big project without once ruffling the feathers of the HOA or our neighbors was quite an accomplishment. Alex, the onsite supervisor for the project was great. We have a second home in another state and were staying there off and on while the project was in progress. Alex called us on a regular basis with updates on the works progress when we were out of town. He even texted us pictures of how things were shaping up. Finally, Alex was upfront with us when mistakes were made. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciated Alex's honesty. Believe me, that's not something you usually see with contractors(at least in our experiences). In summation, Barbara and her folks did a great job. It really looks beautiful. Barbara designed an awesome bathroom with a gorgeous walk-in shower (huge). She gave us a completely new kitchen. It did take a long time. Started in June & finished by Halloween. But, we did tell her we weren't in a hurry. Her craftsmen are excellent. She did everything we asked. A lot of calling back & forth. When doing a remodel; know the cost will be quite a bit higher that original estimate. It was $47,000 & we ended with $62,000. We had add-ons that do add up very fast. We bought all the appliances, lighting fixtures, even the cabinet pulls were not included. We are very pleased with the finished project. Barbara is a lovely person to do business with. The negative about her is that she always seemed very rushed for time. We are hoping to hire her back to renovate the master bath. One more comment; her tile men are outstanding!

We first met the designer in June, 2014. She interviewed us to see what we had in mind for the project and took measurements. A few weeks later, she presented three different designs, which were very appealing. We chose a design and selected cabinetry. The remodel was started at the end of July. The original project was estimated to take 5 weeks to complete. We met with the designer several times during the project and kept in contact by phone with details or concerns. Approximately 90% of the remodel was finished within 6 weeks. It took an additional two weeks to complete the final details to our satisfaction. However, while waiting for the final finishing touches, we were able to use the kitchen and resume our normal lives. In the end, we were very pleased with our beautiful new kitchen. The estimations were very close to the actual costs so there were no surprises there. All questions and concerns were addressed promptly and efficiently.

The tile installation was excellent. The new mirrors and lights (provided by me) are also excellent. The problem was scheduling and work notification. The work started on Aug 11 and took a little over two weeks to complete. I was never advised who was coming which day or what they would be doing. I had to call each time to learn what was happening. Some times workers would show up and other times no one would be there. I had to remind the owner from time to time what was going on and what was needed to be done. The owner was most cooperative and the workmanship was good. The problem is that this job needed one person to supervise and schedule and inform me what days workers would be there. This was a small job for a company that also does big jobs and possibley slides workers in from other jobs when they are free.

Barbara and her staff at Designer Kitchen and Bath took our original less-than-desirable-looking-kitchen-and-downstairs and have completely brought life to the entire downstairs. We are just about done with the remodel, and it looks AMAZING. In the beginning of the process, Barbara created a number of designs based on our discussions... we picked the one that worked best for us and went with it! She was there every step of the way -- from picking out cabinets, to granite, to flooring, to hardware... we definitely could not have made those choices without her! We could not be any happier with the design or the result. It truly looks like a kitchen out of a magazine. Thank you so much, Barbara and staff!

Barbara Turns did a great job for us. Her design ideas were all right on the money. Her crew bent over backwards to see that the job was done right. We're more than satisfied.

We did not use them to do the work. We did not have a lot of faith in the design that the woman laid out for us. We just did not feel it was right. It helped us eliminate some things, but the suggestions just did not seem to work for us. It was just not a good fit personality wise. I do not really think the price was worth it because most of these people will come out and do a sketch or whatever for free just because they want to get the job. She did come out very quickly. She was on time. She was fine as far as punctuality is concerned. I guess artistic difference would be the word.

From the first appointment when remodeling requirements were discussed and during consequent contract negotiations, there was never any hesitation on my part to use this company. This decision was made because the designer immediately understood my needs and was able to provide me with drawings that totally met my expectations. Additionally, she consulted with me on some of my earliest choices that based on her expertise and experience would not have satisfied my long-term requirements. These consultations were advice well made and accepted by me. She clearly understands the needs of her customers. Her employees are very skilled (and some I would consider absolute artists in their trade) and were responsive to my many questions and possible concerns. They were always patient and very informative about the work in progress. Everyone who has seen the work that was performed has commented on the workmanship and the absolutely beautiful end result. One of the pantry doors had a slight flaw in it and this was pointed out to me by her cabinet installer. He contacted the office and a replacement was ordered that day. This kind of integrity, pride in work performance, professionalism, and awesome customer service is a great asset and was greatly appreciated. I have a construction background so I was particularly aware of the tasks required and the time required to perform the work requirements without cutting corners or doing less than quality work. I was definitely not disappointed in this regard. All work was performed to the highest standards. I would definitely use this contractor again. I wish I had engaged this company for earlier remodeling activities that were performed because previous contractor came nowhere close to Designer Kitchens & Bath's standards. I highly recommend this contractor for anyone wishing to have beautiful work completed in their home.

We strongly recommend Designer Kitchens and Baths for several reasons. First, the quality of their work was excellent and they completed it on schedule. Additionally, their pricing, although not ?cheap,? was certainly reasonable when compared to other contractors who bid on our job, a complete master bath remodel. We also appreciated the fact that Barbara Turns, the designer, listened closely to us and designed the bathroom just as we wished. One of the unique features of working with Barbara was ?going shopping? with her to select counter tops, flooring, etc. It may seem strange that we point this out, but other contractors simply told us to go to granite and/or tile warehouses and to pick out what we wanted. Barbara?s fine eye helped ensure that all the different pieces (shower, floor, counter top, paint, cabinets, etc.) came together in a most professional manner. It should also be noted that Barbara?s team cleaned up daily, including disposing of debris. Finally, we could always count on Barbara and her workers to show up when expected and answer our questions.

They did a beautiful job. They were wonderful and I was very happy. They were a few days behind schedule but it turned out beautiful and worth the wait. Having a kitchen fully remodeled is not a pleasant process and they did such a good job and were so helpful that they really eased the process. I appreciated that they helped me pick out the granite.

We had several and I mean several contractors come out to give us an estimate for our master bathroom remodel. Barbara came out and discussed things with us and told us she would help us pick out tile and make sure everything looks great. That's what we needed was someone to help us design the bathroom not tell us to go pick out what we like and they will install it. We had the master bathroom completely remodeled from top to bottom (new vanity, mirror, medicine cabinets, shower, tub, flooring). Barbara is extremely busy but really is well worth the wait and time to hire her. She does get things done and will make sure everything is done correctly. I would totally recommend her to my friends and family!

The initial part where they took out all the old cabinetry, I was impressed with how fast how they cleared the kitchen out, it took them a couple of hours or so, that the whole process would go that smoothly. I think they should get a more detailed listing of what's included in the price and I think a more thorough itemized listing of the cost of things. I thought that their price was kinda high for what they did. There were some things that didn't prove up like putting the cabinets before painting the walls and that bothered me but it was her timetable that the cabinets went up before the painting was done. We really love the kitchen. There were a lot of miscommunications though she was professional. I think in the future, I would go back to her but I would also get a few more estimates and talk to a few more companies.

Working with Barbara Turns and her crew was great. She called and said who was coming that day and what was going to take place. Her cabinet installer Jeff was great to work with friendly and very knowledgeable about the type of wood and what works well. He removed all cabinets and counters and took all measurements. We had a pantry installed and all doors and drawers are all soft close, on all cabinets. Then next day tile guys came to remove all flooring. Then Wes came to remove the pipes under sink and moved them over about 6 inches, he also moved the light over sink about 6 inches. He was also very knowledgeable about garbage disposals and as we were replacing the toilet he recommended some good brands. Once the cabinets were installed Jose came to install the flooring, he did good work. Then she sent over (forgot the guys name) to patch up wall and ceiling where pipes and electrical were removed. George came then to install the garbage disposal and pipes for sink. Barbara had Kosby(might be spelled wrong) to install the countertop, it is beautiful. Then the tile guys came to install the backsplash it turned out really well. If there were any problems with anything all you had to do was call Barbara and she made it happen. My kitchen looks beautiful and have had many complements. It took longer than we were hoping but we did say we were not in a hurry. Barbara and her team were great to work with.Later down the road we will have her do our master bath. GREAT JOB DESIGNER KITCHEN and BATH!!

We called and Barbara not only returned the call within a few hours we set up an appointment for the next week. We needed a kitchen and bath remodel with the work to be started late Dec. Barbara drew up plans which we liked, told us it would be an 8-9 week project. Since we weren't living in the house it was fine. She was in contact with us weekly if not daily. Barbara had great resources for products. She shopped with us on occasion but was fine if we went on our own. Her people are skilled, good at what they do, and a pleasure to work with. Of course we added a few areas to our original plan but it wasn't a problem. Barbara offers suggestions and will give you her honest opinion. The bulk of the work was completed in 9 weeks. There are just a few loose ends to take care of at this point in time. However, we now have a gorgeous kitchen and two beautiful baths thanks to Barbara and her crew.

They came out and looked, gave me an estimate but I found someone else to do the work for a bit cheaper

Each day all her crews would clean up and take the trash with them and tried very hard to keep dust to a minimum. Always started each day the time that was told the day before. The only days that were not working in the kitchen were days or times that was needed to dry or set ext. One item I just knew would not turn out that good was the replacement of the windows because matching the outside stucco. Well when it was finished I could not tell or see where the new stucco end and old started or even that the windows were not always there. We had no idea about what cabinets we needed or what would work. Now that it has been done for a few months and have been using them, I truly understand just how good of a job she did. Oh yes they looked very good when it was finished but the function that is were she toped herself. Room to cook and not just room to put things away but in places easy to reach when you need them. The lighting was installed to a T. No dark spots or dark areas at all, but still turn down lighting to a dim night light when needed. I picked the light units but there was truly some art used to install them to get good lighting and look good on the ceiling. Installing the floor and back splash she added some very nice art design to bring it all together as well as picking out the countertops. She did a wonderful job and I would recommend her and I have a few times. I have also just hired her to do the master bath.

All contacts to date have been great and I am looking forward to commencing my planned remodel.
