Had a troubled property with a couple of known issues (Kitec plumbing, Gas Leak, Water Damage) and wanted to have a full house inspection done to see if there were any other potential problems. Two things which drew my attention to this company was its review history on Angie's List and the equipment they have for thermography scans, which I needed to assess the severity of the water damage. Tim arrived on time and overall exceeded expectations. He helped track down the source of the gas leak and checked several adhoc things which I pointed out while he was performing the inspection. Tim was extremely polite, patient, and professional, which I always appreciate. The report came in the next day, on time, and was thorough. One thing though is that it did take some extra time to get the themography images, but they were able to give a timeframe on when I would get those and followed up on their promise. Last but not least: Tim let me pick his brain on several things as he was inspecting the house and he was kind of enough to share his knowledge on some things. Therefore, I highly recommend these guys and will undoubtedly use them again in the future.

Thanks to Cynthia and Tim, we got our home inspected thoroughly and professionally. From the first contact to the arrival of the report, all went smoothly. Tim?s report is clear and easy to understand. Each inspected item is accompanied by one or more photos. We're relocating to Nevada and made a trip to Henderson to find a home. We were successful but had to return home prior to the home inspection. We selected Desert Home Inspections because of their high Angie's List rating and felt confident we did not need to be present for the inspection. Cynthia Ganey assured me that more than half of their inspections were performed without the customer being present. So we took a chance and hired Desert Home Inspection. The inspection took place on the date and at the time agreed upon. The report was also delivered right on time. Cynthia even helped me arrange to procure a pest inspection to take place simultaneously. That worked out perfectly, as well. We are quite pleased with Desert Home Inspection and would highly recommend them.

He did a thorough job and gave us tips on what is important and recommended repairs. He put our mind at ease about the condition of the house. He did a thorough job, and even when we said he didn't need to check some things, and he did anyway.

Our inspector, I think his name was Tim, showed up on time and went through the house, including the pool and spa. Took about 3 hours. At the end he showed us a ton of pictures and explained the issues that he found. He was very nice, professional and thorough. I had a good experience with this company and will use them again, if needed in the future.

Timothy and cathy DID great job and helped us understanding about building which we were buying all the way. He respons propmply, respectively, properly, patient, etc... I have no words to say bad about them. They are great.

They emailed me back that day, were very prompt and helpful. We weren't able to use them becuase of scheduling issues or else we would have went with this company.

It went very smoothly. Steve was very thorough and took pictures. He even went over all the findings with me before he left and showed me pictures of things I should have fixed. And the next day I received a summary report and a 40 page detailed report in an email. Thank You!!

Tim did an amazing job!! He was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable. Tim was very patient with all of our questions and took his time going through everything with us. He listened to our concerns and made it a point to address them. He was very prompt in getting us our report, which was helpful because we were trying to close on time with our house. Just putting it out there, but my husband and I were buying a new house and even though most people do not get a home inspection I would highly recommend it. He found a few problems with our house that we were able to bring to the attention of the home builder and get fixed prior to closing. We would absolutely use him again and recommend him to everyone, he was worth every dollar.

It went exactly as I expected it with the other reviews I had read. They were on time showing up and finishing up. Professional. did a great job at finding the smallest little detail that might matter.

Overall, my experience at first should have been bad but because the company handled the situation so well, I gave them an excellent review for their value in customer service and satisfaction. My first phone call conversation was with Tim (the owner). We discussed the property, the problems with the pool, and what was included in their home inspection. Tim was VERY knowledgeable on what to look for and an estimate on how long the process would take (3-3.5 hours, apprx 1hr per 1000sqft). Once I decided to use them, Tim and Cynthia (Office Mgr) were very accommodating when we wanted to schedule the Home Inspection which was the next day at 10am. Tim also mentioned that if he can?t do the inspection himself that he would have another inspector go out and do the inspections. They also asked if I want to be present during the home inspection and I said yes, but only during the last part to go over some of the potential issues. I also asked for a good time to be at the property for the last stage of his inspection, and the suggested time was around 12:30pm (2.5 hours from the start of inspection). I gave my number and my real estate agent's number for the home inspector to contact if anything were to change. The next day, I was informed that the home inspector (not Tim) arrived at the property at 10am to begin the home inspection. At approx. 12pm (2 hours later), I get a call from my agent sayings that the inspector left because he was done and to call him. I called the inspector (no answer) and left a message. I also called and left a message with the office. At 12:10 pm, I received a return call from the inspector. This is where the problem started, from the phone conversation to when we meet at the property. Overall, my experience with this inspector was unpleasant to put it nicely? Later that afternoon, the office manager, Cynthia, called me to find out what happened (regarding message I left earlier). I told her about the experience we had with the inspector they sent. She was very apologetic and wanted to make things right. She ensured that a report will still be completed and that she will let Tim know what happened. That evening, Tim called us. He also apologized for the experience we had with one of their inspectors and also wanted to make things right. He offered to do the home inspection again. I agreed and we (along with my RE agent) scheduled another date and time for the re-inspection. The day of the re-inspection, both Tim and Steve (another inspector) conducted the home inspection. I was able to meet with them apprx 2.5 hrs after they started. Tim was able to discuss the main issues (both good and bad) with the home and we were thrilled to have that conversation with him in the middle of their inspection. Both were still there inspecting the property and continued even after we left. When we received the report, we were very, very impressed on how thorough the report was which included: detailed pictures, potential problems to investigate further, safety hazards, and issues that require immediate action. We will definitely use them again?.Great Customer Service!!!

Our inspection was great, our real estate angent was impressed with the technology (infrared to check any temperature discrepencies within the walls) and thoroughness of the inspection. The next day we received an email with the entire inspection, with pictures. We felt really comfortable purchasing the home after the inspection was done, we know everything we need to fix.

The inspector (Tim) did an outstanding job with the inspection; he identified several areas of maintenance upkeep and some minor areas that needed attention. Tim walked me around my home and showed me all the areas that he was inspecting and provided pictures of each area. This was one of the best experience I have ever had with someone performing maintenance in my lifetime. A definitely purchase for a house buyer.

The inspector did an excellent job. I was happy to know that the house we are buying is in very good condition.

The company worked with us even though we were traveling during the inspection date. They called us and went through everything line by line; also were more than willing to work with our on-site realtor. The report was done quickly. It was detailed and useful.

It was great experience, particularly being from out of state and not being very familiar with service providers in the area.

I had 10 days to complete all my inspections and was moving at a quick pace to close on my new home Steve was the inspector and very thorough. I had a full report within 24 hours. Long story short, I loved this home and almost skipped the inspection. That said I felt it was important to have eyes wide open on any maintenance that might need to be done as the house was 10 years old and I expected normal wear/tear. Thankfully I made the investment because as it turned the home that I believed was in move in condition was not. The inspection highlighted areas that I needed to get further evaluated before closing. One was a deal breaker. I learned that when the backyard patio was installed it was inappropriately slopped towards instead of away from the house.As a result there was significant water damage in the back of the home which damaged wood floors and extended up one of the walls. I thought that nothing could prevent me from going through with this purchase but the inspection report saved me from moving into to a home that would have involved significant repair to fix current and avoid future damage. I was very disappointed to cancel my offer to purchase but would have been much .more disappointed to learn of these issues after the fact. Thank you Steve, Terry and Cindi. When I find my next home in Las Vegas I will definitely use Desert Homes for the home inspection and would recommend them to anyone who wants to have quality service to protect their investment..

Very prompt, professional and most importantly thorough. We received a detailed report within 24 hrs of the inspection and knew we were purchasing with confidence. Excellent service and I would highly recommend them. Well worth the cost!

Everything went smooth as butter on hot bread. The inspector told us what needed to be repaired and detailed the overall quality and status of the home. Additionally he performed a moisture examination by infrared tech. This is not required and even fewer inspectors have the certification to do it. We were very pleased with how thorough the inspection was.

We needed a home inspection to help us determine how much money to offer on a home that we were interested in buying and we needed to make sure there were no major surprise repairs. A gentleman named Michael MacQuarrie was assigned to our home and he showed up early, went through and took his time with us, and put together not 1, but 2 very helpful and detailed reports. He even had them to us by the next morning (a Sunday) so that we could get moving on the property. Michael was professional and detailed and that is exactly what we were looking for. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a home inspection.Micha

The inspector, Michael Turner, was timely, personable and very knowledgeable. In addition to a very thorough inspection, he gave me a preview of the report and answered all of my questions in detail. Since I don't reside in Las Vegas, the general tips and information he provided on routine maintenance unique to the desert environment was extremely helpful. The 60+/- page report was emailed to me the next morning as promised. I felt very confident about proceeding with the transaction based on the inspection.

They said they only had one person for the work and that he was out of town. They said they would have him call me back, but he never called us.
