The inspector was very thorough, professional,and friendly. He made us feel very confident that all potential issues were found and could be addressed prior to sale of the property.

We scheduled this inspection for the purpose of a one year walk-through with our home builder. Tim arrived for the inspection and spent considerable time and effort to do a proper inspection and spent time explaining some of his findings to us. He agreed to provide any additional assistance we might need to explain one particular aspect of his findings to our home builder. He provided his report in a a very timely and efficient manner, which we sent to our home builder for one particular reason. The home builder contacted Tim to arrange a time to meet at the house. Tim indicated he was very busy but would contact them to schedule in a month or so. To date, Tim has failed to contact the home builder even after they have left him phone messages. I have spoken with him twice about contacting them, he has still failed to do so. I have emailed him twice about it, he has still not responded. Without his cooperation and input with our home builder, the problem cannot be resolved. Tim's initial work was commendable, but his follow up has been extremely unprofessional. I hate to provide a negative review, but this is a very important aspect of the job!

We have owned more than 40 homes and have had every single one of the inspected at one time or another. We are new to LV, so used Angie's List, as we had no other base of reference for a quality home inspector. We were extremely impressed with Tim's thoroughness and willingness to take a look at a couple of separate issues we pointed out. He concurred with our thoughts and included these other issues in his report. He was here precisely on time, and is friendly and professional. We received his report via email by noon the following day, just as he told us. It was lengthy and detailed, with full explanatory pictures, as a good home inspection should be. His repair recommendations (thankfully few) were highlighted in red, making them very easy to find. I have recommended Desert Home Inspections to our community clubhouse management, as they are seeking professional services at this time and I saw that DHI does commercial work as well as residential. They get my highest 5*'s!

Contacted Desert Home Inspections through Angie's List and received a response within just a few hours confirming that they were available on the date requested. On the day of the inspection, Tim arrived early and began the most thorough inspection I have ever experienced. We thought we should try to stay out of his way, but he actually encouraged questions and frequently wanted us nearby to point out and explain various things and make recommendations. He inspected every aspect of the house and property - inside and out - including the outside spa and up in the attic. Other reviewers had mentioned that the inspection took longer than their realtor had estimated. That was true for us as well, with the inspection lasting almost 4 hours. And this was not because the house had any major problems. The inspection showed that the house was in good shape, with some fairly routine issues to address. The inspection concluded at almost 5:00 p.m. and we received his finished report via e-mail around 6:00 a.m. the next morning - 48 pages with clear photo documentation of everything. If there was an A+ rating available, I would definitely give it to this company.

Tim spent 3.5 hours doing a very thorough inspection of the mobile home, inside and out and explained everything he found. Because I am a recent widow and my husband always took care of home maintenance I was very interested to learn the various areas of concern. He did such a wonderful job that I plan to have him inspect my current home prior to putting it on the market so that I don't have any surprises.

Tim was fantastic. Showed up right on time. Explained how he would be conducting the inspection and happily answered all our questions. He was very knowledgeable and very thorough! Our realtor said the inspection would take 1 1/2 to 2 hours, Tim took 3 and you could tell he was completely involved in what he was doing. The report was easy to read and pointed out problems that he found. It was so much better than the inspection that had been done on the home I sold. Tim took photos off almost every part of the home even showing temperatures of the AC, frig and heater. We got the report the next morning. Less than 24 hrs.

They were very thorough in going through the house and sent a very professionally written report. They indicated issues that should be taken care of more quickly than others. They inspected all of the major systems in the house which was our main concern and didn't find any major issues. There were small issues, but I was very pleased with their service. Very friendly as well. If I ever buy another home again, I would definitely recommend them.

Inspector did a great job. Very thorough, well documented. Prompt contact. Saved me much more than the cost of the inspection and gave some peace of mind. I would use them again (and probably will, very soon)

It went very good. Tim is super nice, and very professional and you can tell he knows what he is doing!

I got a quick response to my request for an appointment, and was able to make an appointment at a time that was convenient for me. I actually had to change the appointment and postpone it a week - that was no problem either. Tim showed up early and was ready to go. He was personable, professional, and very knowledgeable. He didn't mind me tagging along as he checked out certain features, and he was very patient and helpful in explaining all kinds of things I should look out for down the road. A home inspection was previously performed by the seller, so this inspection was expected to be redundant; however, Tim found a few issues that were not caught by the company that performed the earlier inspection. The seller agreed to fix those issues, which may have cost me a few hundred dollars otherwise, so my inspection with Desert Home Inspections actually paid for itself. Tim emailed me a very detailed home inspection report later the same day. Tim and his company provided me with peace of mind as I move toward closing on the house. I would definitely refer friends to this company. I feel like I got my money's worth. Thanks!

This was an extraordinarily positive experience from initial contact through the most recent contacts I initiated to clarify points or request recommendations. The company responded almost immediately to my request for service submitted through a message on Angie's List. The service was scheduled and due to a last minute contract problem with the home seller, I had to cancel the appointment. Cynthia was extremely cooperative and assured me they understood the need to cancel. When I was able to negotiate an acceptable contract with the seller, Cynthia and Tim worked with me to accommodate my desire to be present for the inspection with minimal disruption to my professional obligations. Tim examined what appears to be every critical area of the home and identified the specific problems and repairs that were needed or recommended. He took the time to show me the problem areas while also reassuring me that almost every problem could be easily corrected. The residence was built in 2003 and had a brief period as a rental. Based upon prior experience I had in another state with a home inspection that glossed over a major defect that cost us in excess of $100,000, Tim suggested recommendations but communicated clearly that the home appears to have been maintained excellently and with quality in spite of the few identified repairs that were needed. I had an extremely limited period of time to make requests from the sellers and Tim never appeared hassled or perturbed by my anxiousness or requests. I am proceeding with my contract and although the seller did not agree to all the recommended repairs, the thoroughness of Tim's findings and report helped me to decide that this home still meets my needs and wants. There are some repairs I will be completing and I am confident that I will encounter few surprises. I would use Tim and Desert Home Inspections again with no concern whatsoever. I recommend this company unequivocally. It was an unexpected but pleasant surprise to learn the cost was lower than the company I used previously in my current search to find a wonderful home.

We live in Los Angeles and had to get the Henderson house inspection done in a hurry, from a distance. Arrangements and results was handled via email. The folks were great- everything was taken care of promptly, with stellar results.

The guy was great. Really thorough and he's on time. He took time to walk me through every place that he found a problem in the house. Actually saved us from buying a house that had a lot of problems in it so we are very grateful for that guy and have recommended him to several people. He has a very detailed report and a very personable guy. Just 5 start. There is no wonder he is the highest rated home inspector in the Las Vegas area.

He was great. Sorry to say I was not there but my husband who is very picky so picky that he wanted two different home inspection just to make sure nothing was missed. Well in the end we only needed one. That's how good he was. Went through everything with my husband, took his time and explained what was needed if something need to be fixed. We got back the report in less then 48 hr, I think it was even 24 hrs. It was really easy to read as well. If I ever need an home inspection again or if anyone ask if I know of one, will use this one again, hands down.Thank you so much for making sure our home we are buying was safe for us.

When I called, the phone was answered in a pleasant manner. The person at the other end of the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable. I called a few times with questions, each time my call was returned promptly. I was not able to attend the inspection. The day after the inspection, I was emailed a very thorough report with pictures and explanations. Much more comprehensive and complete than other inspections I've had. I am very happy and would recomend their service to anyone.

Inspectors report was very throrough. His report called out all of the defects at the beginning of the report allowing me to focus on the items of concern immediately without paging through the 79 page document. Would definately use again!

The guy was punctual and really professional. He took a bunch of measurements and pictures and then he wrote up a report free of charge, which I thought was outstanding.

Great service from calling to set up the inspection to completion. I received the report very early the next morning and was very detailed. This is a very top notch company that should be used by everyone looking for a home inspection.

Tim the inspector arrived on schedule and was pleasant from the start, seems he understood the stress we were under buying a foreclosed home. As the inspection commenced he found there was no water pressure-an issue traced to a defective water meter. Tim performed the rest of the inspection saving the plumbing portion until the water company could get out and change the meter. 4 hours later (inspection was only to last 2-3 hrs) the meter had been changed but he had another inspection to perform on the other side of town. He later returned to complete the plumbing side of the inspection that included using an infrared meter to check behind drywall. The thoroughness of this meter alone warrants the cost of the entire inspection. Among other minor issues, he found the house had no attic insulation and nesting pigeons, a serious problem if health issues already persists. The work performed by this company was 3x what I paid for considering the thoroughness and time spent. This was not an easy day for Tim yet he never made us feel we were an inconvenience, and I'm pretty sure an inspection starting at 9am and ending after 8pm is definitely an imposition. (I can only assume he has marital issues and didn't want to go home-but he seemed too well adjusted for that craziness). Though the house had many issues, Tim would not allow us to feel overwhelmed citing the minor/typical nature of most of these issues while not understating the importance of having them addressed, especially to my realtor. Should everyone expect an 11hr home inspection for $350? JUST SAY NO! if you answered yes. I recommend this company to the highest degree as I'm a stickler on customer service and value (like the rest of you folks). I cannot divulge all of what this company did for us as it would set unfair expectations. I can only say they went above and beyond what could have reasonably been expected, saving us a lot of grief in the process.

Michael Turner was the inspector. He performed the inspection, clearly explained the results to me and sent me the report the following morning. It was a detailed 60 page report complete with photos if all items. Price was competitive and Cynthia in their front office always responded quickly to my phone calls. Thank you for a job well done!

We met Tim at the property and was impressed with his professionalism and thoroughness. He explained his process of the inspection, detailing the significance of evaluating every part of the home. He used infrared technology for signs of water leaks in the walls, which I felt reassured of. Wrapping up the inspection, Tim advised us of three items that needed to be addressed. In addition, our report was made available the following morning. This was money well spent and if given the chance, I would not hesitate to hire Tim again. Thank you.

I could not have been happier with the service I received. From when I called to get a quote for inspection, the lady who answered the phone was very pleasant to talk to. She applied the angies list coupon over the phone as I mention it. They worked with me to schedule a good time for inspection which wasn't easy with my work schedule. Tim, who inspected my house, was at the property at exactly 8 am as he had promised. He took his time when inspecting everything and explained very patiently all the details for detects, possible causes, possible repairs, and believe me there were a lot of them. However, at no point he showed even a slight sign of being in a hurry... I was truly impressed and felt that he actually cared about my purchase and he didn't just want to finish his job of inspecting and writing a report. Tim sent me the report the next day and it was a very detailed and complete report. If you are doubting doing an inspection, this report with Desert Home is worth every penny and you will know what to expect when you move in your new home. He found out about a leak inside the walls with his infrared reading device which I would have never found out otherwise - until maybe a leak surfaced from first floor ceiling which would have cost a lot more to repair! The service did not stop here. I had some questions about specific defects and I called Tim and the office quite a few times the week after the inspection was done. Every time, I was greeted pleasantly. my questions were answered either right away, or I got a call back within 2-3 hours of leaving a message with my answers. I highly recommend Desert Home for house inspections. Even my agent asked how I found them and he said he will recommend Desert Home to his future clients.

The inspector showed up promptly and we accompanied him for most of the inspection. The inspector told us that the roof (a two-story home) was not accessible so he could only evaluate the condition of the roof from the ground by using his binoculars. He did not go up onto the roof and did not check the air conditioners/heaters for gas leaks, etc. We decided to purchase the house based on a positive inspection report and moved in on January 17, 2014. Following a series of rain storms in late February we discovered a leak in the master bedroom ceiling. We called our insurance company and their inspector climbed up on the roof and found that there were several leaks in the roof around the flashing/seals associated with the air conditioners/heaters. The insurance inspector also reported finding a lot of pigeon manure as well as three cracked roofing tiles near the air conditioners/heaters. I'm not sure why the Desert Home Inspections representative couldn't access the roof; however, his failure to do so resulted in some concealed damages that should have been discovered during his visit and then reported so that the sellers could have addressed them at that time, avoiding damages to our master bedroom ceiling and our having to pay for roof repairs. The company owner visited our home on March 7, 2014, to view the damaged ceiling and discuss our issues. He was very professional, courteous, and after a discussion of the situation, he agreed to refund our inspection fee.

Michael Turner did inspection, he was terrific, took his time, walked me through every part of home.

It took approximately 2.5 hours to inspect 3500 sq. ft. I was very impressed with the FLIR used to look behind drywall to detect leaks. Michael explained everything and the report with photos was very helpful in getting all the defects fixed.
