Same day service went very well!!! Jorge showed up earlier than expected, which was great. After testing the bad GFI, it was diagnosed that the problem may be somewhere else in the house. Thankfully, the first switch that he checked proved to be the faulty one in the circuit. In addition to replacing the GFI, Jorge installed another outlet in the garage. He was very courteous and professional.

Serviceman arrived the same morning I called. Traced the problem with the two outlets to a loose connection three outlets up the electrical line. The kitchen outlet on the opposing wall turned out to be wired into the living room light switch and would be off when the living room lights were turned off - which they normally were. He rewired the outlet so it was a full time outlet and not controlled by the switch. I was very impressed with the serviceman's experience and equipment and will call DHS first for any electrical needs I have in the future.

the technician Carlos did the job in 20 minutes & it was incredible. The company has a $60 hourly rate however they only charged me for the 20 mins they were there. I highly recommend this company.

Desert Home Electric responded very quickly and we had the work all done by morning on the next business day. Very professional & responsive. Found a needed repair earlier electrician had not found. The electrician, Ociel had the job completed efficiently and thoroughly and explained everything to us. Will definitely make Desert Home our go to provider for any electrical work. Price was very reasonable. We felt very reassured by DHE and would most definitely recommend them.

After 20+ years of drilling into walls to hang things, it finally happened; hit some wires. Of course i didn't know until after the anchor was installed and the cabinet was mounted. GFCI tripped and no lights in all of our bathrooms. Removed the screw and the GFCI was able to be reset. Turned it back off for fear of arcing. Time to get an electrician. Oh joy... Was initially going to go with another company on Angies but they were not able to respond. DHE was referred and turned out to be a very good experience. Contacted office and gave contact info. Person i needed to talk to was on another call. Returned call was within 15mins, around ~10AM. Gentleman i spoke with was professional and explained worst and best case and that tech could be out between (1-3pm) Technician (Jorge) called when he was on his way and arrived shortly there after. Jorge was very professional and courteous. He was able to complete the repair with no additional drywall repair needed on my end. He was very clean during process, laid down plastic sheeting and taped it off. Cleaned up after work was completed. Would definitely call them back for any future repairs.

I called and he was able to give me some verbal steps and was able to walk me through correcting my breaker issue. I really appreciate how helpful this company was to me. I would recommend this company after my pleasant experience.

I am very pleased with the quality of the work, and the professionalism of Desert Home Electric's staff. The workers were knowledgeable, skilled, and polite. I learned at least three things I would have messed up had I not had them do the work and that would have cost me more money in the long run. The installation is exactly what I wanted it to be.

I cannot say enough good things about Desert Home Electric. I've used them in the past and will continue to use them in the future. When I called for an appointment, I could have gotten an appointment the very next day if I had wanted it. When I did make an appointment, they gave me a three hour window when they would show up. They showed up at the very start of the window. The electrician that showed up (Carlos) was very courteous, respectful of my home by wearing booties on his shoes, and very knowledgeable of the problem I was experiencing. He was very pleasant to talk to and he answered all of my questions about why I was experiencing the problems with my outlets tripping off. He replaced all 5 of my GFI outlets that were continuously tripping. He was at my home for about 50 minutes and I appreciated the fact that he cleaned up after himself after installing each outlet. I highly recommend Desert Home Electric and I will not hesitate to call them for all of my own future electrical needs.

The overall experience was great and I definitely will use this provider again. The technician had a challenge with my home which included having to try multiple detectors before finding two that worked for my situation. I know that he spent significantly more time on my home than normal and I really appreciated his patience and determination to leave things much better than he found them. He was very professional and took time to explain what he was doing and to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend this company.

1st and foremost, i had prices from several places... these guys were more money than the others, however they did work with me, i gave them an A of price, because these guys do it right, and they go the extra mile for the customer. i feel the price is very good for what i got in return. i had other highly rated Angie recommended companies out here, which didn't seem professional, was looking for shortcuts with everything, and wrote up bids missing half of the items i wanted done. i feel if i would had chosen someone else i would had been greatly disappointed - i don't want my house rigged up. Jorge came out to give me my quote, this dude knows his stuff... had many great ideas (which did cause me to spend more, but if he didn't tell me, i would had learned the hard way after i moved in and would have to destroy new paint later). Jorge and Carlos (i would love to find employees like these guys) were both amazing and i had no issues with anyone at the company... they treated me very well and did an amazing job. sorry I'm not more detailed, this is my 3rd review this morning and I'm late for work :). you will not be disappointed, and you will miss the guys once they are done and gone.

The work was excellent and everything was working perfectly but they tried to sell me new lights that they claimed were better quality. I found that they had the motion-sensors facing straight upward instead of forward as they should have been. I went out at night to adjust the sensors and everything worked fine.

Outstanding work! I first moved to Vegas in 2012 and needed to get some electrical work done in a house I was renting. I got their name through Angie's List, called them, they came out and performed an outstanding job. I liked them so much so that when I needed electrical work in my new home in Summerlin, I contacted them. They are the best electricians I've come across. Seriously, they continue to perform quality work for a reasonable price 3 years later. They were quick to respond after I called and put me on the schedule within a few days of my call. They were prompt, arrived on schedule, and were professional in the manner they carry their business. Seriously, one of the best companies I've come across here in Las Vegas. I called them the week of September 21 to fix a light switch was giving me trouble and they completed the work within 30 minutes. I was put on the schedule within days of my call. They came out to fix the light switch. The charged me $60.00 to fix it. Great price considering some electricians charge you $75 just for a "service call" and then they they give you a quote to perform the work. At that time, I requested a bid for the installation of the 2 motion detector lights that I wanted performed the following month. They quoted me $400 to install the motion lights. I thought that was a reasonable price considering the work that it would take to install them (they would have to go up to the attic and do some work outside as well.) Dave and his assistant completed the work in about 2 hours, brought their own equipment (they needed an extension ladder), and adjusted the quote to give me an additional 10% discount because I was an Angie's List customer, bringing my bill to $360.00. I was impressed. Highly recommended. Stephen, the owner, and Dave, one of their electricians, are great! Will continue to use them in the future.

My husband and I were not pleased with the price of "services" rendered. We immediately called another electric company and they delivered (see my review dated, August 28, 2015) exceptional service beginning with the Office Manager and ending with the electrician the company sent out. This second company that I called charges a $45 service call, but if you use them, the service charge is applied to the work done. This second electric company provided excellent, quality customer service at a fair and reasonable price. They installed both light fixtures for a total of $85. We plan to call them back to install the exhaust fan. Their company's electrician quoted us a price to install the exhaust fan that was less expensive than Desert Electric and offered a coupon. All in all, we paid $188. If we had gone with the second company first, we could have saved $103! In conclusion, I will not hire Desert Electric Company again and I feel they should at least reimburse us for the "other services" that were charged us.

I called to make an appointment and was told somebody would call me back to make an appointment. Received a phone call later In the afternoon to find out what I need to have done and when I was available. I made an appointment. I got a phone call the morning of my appointment to confirm and the electrician called me 20 min. before he rang my doorbell. he was super nice ,cleaned up while he worked great job. He fixed 3 outlets that didn't work, one outlet was just wires hanging out of the wall. my light switch was wired incorrectly ,he fixed that so I didn't have to run up and down my hallway to turn the light on and off. he was here for about one hour and a half.

The team called ahead, arrived on time, and landed ready to work. The first 30 minutes set the tone for the day. They asked great questions qualifying what I wanted, the risks, and options for getting the work done. Plastic was laid down and work zones prepped before any work started. They were professional, prepared, and methodical. The work had its complexities but at each step the team communicated efficiently and progress was consistent. All three jobs were completed with high quality and on budget. The work areas were cleaned as if they'd never been there.

I find that DHE did an awesome job from the beginning. They came out very promptly to do an initial estimate to go over all my requirements. Then I advised them that my urgent issue was the exterior power sockets as they would have to lay down PVC. My driveway and concrete sections were being replaced so I had to do this on a Monday. They said no problem and would be ready. 1. The schedule moved up from Monday to three days earlier on a Friday and they had no problem to drop off the PVC, before I even signed the contract. That is how fast they were. 2. The install of the pantry light, they did without showing any cut walls and I did not have to do any repairs at all, no painting and no patching! The foreman on site, Jorge, even saw a better way to install the lights without any exterior conduit and we agreed. 3. The install of the three internet wired connections were my largest concern. The internet comes from our loft. To get it to my office, the downstair TV area and the Garage required attic access, drilling, feeding cables between the walls, drilling down to the garage, then through more walls to the TV area that has a huge wall unit as well. They did this all without any visible holes and repair work. I still cannot even fathom how they did this, but it is a top quality job. 4. The install of the three exterior power sockets, they made recommendations on the best place to locate them. How great is that! 5. Jorge, the lead supervisor / contact was great. Punctual, communicates well, manages our expectations. His team did everything, all the lifting and moving of items to get the job done. They did not say, "that is not my job", or "you need someone to do this" instead, they did everything so we were at full ease. Kinda of like when you are flying in an airplane in the first class section! The company is great, the workers are perfect, the estimator was timely and quick. Steve the owner was always available and quick to answer when I needed help. I highly recommend them. The service, quality and support is outstanding!

First of all, I usually don't give high marks for expected services that I pay for. I have to admit that Desert Home Electrical exceeded my expectations. Although Steve wasn't as responsive as I would have liked, I also understand how busy his line of work can be. The estimate I received was reasonable for the work that was requested. When Dave came to look over the work I wanted done, he was attentive and pleasant. When I was ready to have the work done, Steve scheduled me in a weeks time. I was pleased and surprised that the work would be done well within my needed time frame. The crew that arrived within the scheduled time were also pleasant to talk to as we reiterated what needed to be done. One issue that arose was that they weren't notified that the chandelier was to be installed to a 17' ceiling. Jorge made me feel confident that even though they hadn't brought a ladder tall enough, one would be brought and the job would be complicated on time. They also encountered some issues in the garage when it came to rerouting the wiring. They kept me informed of everything, which is a BIG two thumbs up for them. Bottom line, everything was done and here is were they exceeded my expectations. They cleaned up and neatly placed all debris in a container. They swept up and made sure I was satisfied with everything befor they left. Jorge was great! I've heard horror stories of how some electrical contractors didn't do this or that. These guys take pride in their work and worked hard to satisfy this customer. I'm glad I found a reliable and reasonable electrician here in NV. Keep up the great work.

Very friendly we needed a new line run in an existing conduit which is exposed in the attic, they refused to do it in the attic and wanted to cut the walls open for no reason except to lazy to climb up in the attic 5 feet from the conduit. Ridiculous, reason thee boss said I said it was OK to cut holes, I said if they can't access they refused.

From the initial assessment a date was set and they came on time. We added some work and that was also done on the same day. Very happy with the service and the electricians.

Called DHE on a Monday just to inquire about getting an estimate for installing two exterior power outlets on our house. Receptionist took my number and had Steve (the president) call me back shortly thereafter. He asked a few basic questions and then estimated it would cost $150 per outlet to install. I called back the following Monday to schedule the installation, and they gave me a window of Wednesday 8-10 a.m. for the install. Steve called me again the next morning to let me know they actually had an opening that day to fit us in! Unfortunately, that wouldn't work with my schedule, but we proceeded with the 8 a.m. Wednesday appointment. On Wednesday morning, the technician, Ociel, called at about 7:30 a.m. to let me know he and his partner were on their way. They showed up promptly at 8 a.m., assessed the situation, and got to work, Ociel having to leave once just to buy parts. The two of them finished by 9:30 a.m., and because they ended up installing the outlets on an existing conduit, the total price was actually $25 less than quoted. Ociel happily honored my verbal mention of an Angieslist coupon, I paid the bill, and all went well!

I was so impressed! The power in my garage went out. I checked the breakers and nothing was tripped. There was a GFCI outlet that was "hidden" near the water heater. I didn't even think to look for another outlet, since the breaker panel has some GFCI breakers. Anyway, Steve called and helped me out. Saved me a service call and money! Who does that these days? I would use them in the future for sure. You can't beat honesty. Thank you Steve.
