From the moment I called to maked an appointment Desert Home Electric has exceeded my expectations. Their customer service is 5 star. I had several items that I needed fixed, problem with my photocell, door bell was not working, smoke dector needed to be replaced and I also needed a dining room light fixture replaced. Ociel (who was amazing) showed up on time within the 2 hour window I was given when I scheduled my appointment. Ociel was very professional and personable. He went over the list of items that I needed repaired and starting working immediately. The work was completed in a timely matter. When I was presented with the invoice it was very neatly written and the Angie's List discount had already been applied. I wish I had known about this company earlier. I was so impressed with the service I received that I requested a quote to have additonal can lights installed as well as some outdoor lighting. Ociel took my email address and told me that the quote will be emailed to me. I highly recommend Desert Home Electric, I am looking forward to working with them again.

Excellent response and performance from first contact to completion. We had a complex issue requiring communication with local municipality and utility. Steve and his team didn't miss a beat. This company knows what its doing and how to service the costumer. WIll definitely use again.

Came promptly and replaced photo cell and switches

Fantastic. Jorge and his helper did a great job. They cleaned everything up well before they left. The owner, Steve Raleigh, gave me a very reasonable price. I will definitely contact them again for any future electrical needs.

Steve came a day or two after making an appointment. Saw what happened to our built in Grill sump pump. Sent his men Abel and his cousin and immediately worked on the problem. They were prompt and friendly. Professional and reasonably priced. Did the job same day. A few weeks later, same problem occurred and responded immediately when called upon. Explained to us ways to do things incase same things happened and suggested permanent solution to the problem. Abel and his cousin were friendly. Good people. Will definitely use this company again hopefully not on the same problem though.

I have a renter in my former house. He called to say that the lights in the bathroom were tripping off. I told him where the circuit breaker box was, but that didn't seem to be the problem. Finally, we called Desert Home Electric. Desert went out fairly promptly to see what was causing the issue. I was not told that a service charge did not cover any time they spent there. So, Desert went to the home, looked at the circuit boxes, then found that a GFI socket in the bedroom closet was being pressed by boxes, causing the problem. They charged 30 minutes labor on top of the service charge. I felt they should have just charged the service fee.

Called Desert Home Electric for a bid on re-wiring some of the house and adding some lighting. Showed up right at the scheduled time to look at the job and give me an estimate. Polite, professional, and thorough. Set a date for the work on the appointed day Jorge and his crew showed up right on time and got to work immediately. I've done a fair amount of contracting work in my time, and I'm doing most of this home renovation myself, so I know good work when I see it and these guys were top of the line. Excellent work and Jorge and his crew were very friendly while they were here. After they were done, we got back from running errands and Jorge walked us through everything that had been done, checking off every item that had been on the original bid. There was not a single sign that they had been there except for the completed work. They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves and left no trace behind. I would heartily recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done and as long as I'm living here, I won't be calling anyone else. Thanks guys!!!

Great experience! Our landline phone wasn't working after strong storm went thruogh area. Had spent 15 minutes on phone with security monitoring company, which could not signal system, then spent over 60 minutes on cell phone with Vonage; they couldn"t fix. Explained this around 10:30 a.m. to Steve, who gave me a no-cost suggestion to try first and reserved a technician for us. Self-serve solution didn't work so technician was scheduled for afternoon. Jorge Jr. called to let me know he was on his way, eta 30 mins. Jorge arrived on time (approx. 3 p.m.), listened carefully while I described situation and phone / security / computer setup. Jorge spent time checking out wiring and even requested the Vonage modem manual so he could verify his results. He stated Vonage modem was damaged and needed to be replaced, suggested we call Vonage back. I asked him a couple of questions about company and services available, learned he could install an extra electrical outlet I;ve been wanting at my hobby workbench for some time as part of same service call fee, which saved me another trip call. He gave me a price that was agreeable and did the work. Only hint of dissatisfaction: I asked about discounts for Angies List members or seniors. I think I remember seing a senior discount on their website. Total service call, parts and labor did not meet AL members level but am going to doublecheck on senior discount.

After waiting for another company to get in touch with me for a week, I gave up and then called Desert Home Electric. They were very kind and understanding on the phone even though I was pretty frustrated with not having power in my bathrooms for over a week. They said they could come out first thing the next day but in the meantime I could check something on my own. It worked! I called them back and thanked them. I have some other electrical upgrade work I am going to do later this year to install a hot tub and I'll definitely be calling them back to do the work!

Work was completed as asked and everything was cleaned up after they left. Little disappointed that both fans have a little bit of wobble, but they said it was because of the fan we bought. I had reviewed many fans online prior to purchase and bought 2 middle of the line Hunters that were rated very high, so don't know if it is as a result of the installation or the actual fan. They were also unable to fix an outdoor light switching problem because the fixtures were bad, but they tried. Everything else was OK.

Steve is a very thorough individual. Gave us many options and was a pleasure to deal with. I will be contacting him and his references in the very near future to do more work. In a very skeptic economy, it's nice to know you can still get exceptional service in the contractor industry. Job well done!

Jorge arrived on time, was very professional, identified the problem quickly and was very helpful in explaining everything. When he didn't have the part on hand, he was allowed to get the part and replace the breaker during that visit. It saved us grief, time, and going without lights. Quality operation.

We could tell that Jorge Reyes was a first rate professional by his demeanor and communication even when he visited to assess the work to be done. When he performed the installation, our expectations were fully met. The work was done expeditiously, the installation was beautiful in appearance and operation, and we fully enjoyed his personable communication with us.

We needed a ceiling fan installed in our bedroom. I called and talked to Steve; he asked a few questions and was able to give me an estimate right then. Since it was $125 less than another company I had called, I scheduled an appointment right away. He was able to schedule someone to come the next day. Juan arrived promptly at our scheduled time, took a look at the space and got right to work. He covered everything in plastic, and he and his assistant Manuel worked quietly and efficiently. They installed the electrical box and ceiling fan, cleaned up (I think they even left things cleaner than I left them!), and showed me how everything worked. I was pleased from start to finish with the professionalism, promptness, price, and quality of work. I will definitely be calling them for my next electrical needs.

Jorge, the electrician arrived on time. He asked to see the areas where the installations would take place. Once he assessed the job, he went to his truck to bring in the necessary parts, tools and equipment he needed. He did a great job installing the Casablancas although he had never installed this type of fan. What was most impressive was the fact that he obtained the intelli-touch switch wiring diagram using his cellphone. I was truly impressed by his professionalism and his vocation prowess. He cleaned up his work area and left our home exactly as he found it. Jorge is an asset to Desert Home Electric. I will hire them again.

The men who came to install wiring and the ceiling fan were courteous and professional. They first cut a hole in the bedroom ceiling, When it was determined that there was no attic access to put in the electricity, they used their knowledge and experience to get the wiring to the fan. In only a couple of hours the work was completed and they even did a couple of extra things that I had been worried about. I am delighted with the work that was done and would definitely use this team again.

I found them through Angie's List. The experience actually went very well. I was very impressed with them. The young guy that came here was very prompt, he knew what he was doing and he took good care of me.

The company was very friendly and responsive to my call when first contacted. I recently bought a home and needed some things repaired that were pointed out by the inspector who checked out the house. I went over the list with them (I dont know much about electical repairs) and they explained what I needed. While the technician was a bit late, the company did tell me that he was running behind and were very nice about it. Once Dave showed up, it was right to work and he handled everything I needed. While doing a simple updating of bathroom mirrors and lights we were unable to locate the second GFI switch to restore the power when finished. I called Desert Home Electric on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to schedule someone to come out first thing Monday morning. The technican found the second GFI switch, it wasn't working so he replaced the box. I needed additional work done to install the bathroom lights due to the configuration of the new light fixtures vs those being replaced. We went over my time scheduled, the work needed to be done and committed to provide an estimate so the work could be completed in the time frame required. The estimate was provided and the work scheduled for the next afternoon. The technican arrived on time, completed the work and left both rooms in good condition.

Overall it went well. They were suppose to arrive between 10-2, but showed up around 3:00. They supplied the down rod (custom built for the height of my ceiling), mounting bracket and brace to safely hold in ceiling. It was a big job. They were here for 3 hours. Very nice and professional. Even vacuumed before they left. It was a bit expensive, but I know it was done right.
