Ociel arrived promptly and proceeded to solve the problem associated with a "loud buzzing sound" from the breaker panel while the heater unit was operating. We were also pleased to have the owner, Steve, send Ociel back the next day to demonstrate how we could assess and determine if other breakers in the panel created the same problem. We feel confident selecting businesses in Las Vegas from Angie's List and only wish her list was available in Sevilla, Spain.

They were very professional. Checked all the wires to make sure nothing was loose. Changed out the GFI breaker,

I am always a bit reserved about this kind of thing, because sometimes things look great at first and are not as great later. I had a problem in my garage with a GIF plug, which I had fixed a couple months ago by an electrician I have used several times successfully. This time, however, he made the problem worse. I spent weeks trying to figure out just exactly what was the cause, but something kept tripping the GIF switch and nothing on that line would work, which included my water softener and my sprinkler system. SO, I looked for electricians on Angies list. | |I called Desert Home Electric, based on other reviews. I did not want to call back the same person who had made my problem worse. Desert Home Electric sent a person out the morning after I called. He came within about 15 minutes of the estimated time they gave me, which is good on average. The electrician who came out listened to all of the information I gave him about the problem's history. He actually went through the house first and checked the outlets that are on that line, and found them all to be in working order (the plugs themselves were not the problem, in other words). He then took out the GFI outlet that the other person had put in, and it was a bad outlet. Even I could see that. I watched him take it out, so I know it was not some sort of trick. He put in a new GIF Plug and everything has been working correctly ever since. Granted, it has only been 4 days, but, that is longer than the other plug was lasting. He also, at my request, replaced an outdoor outlet that I had been wanting to replace for a long time, because I wanted one that would be covered when things are plugged into it. So far, everything is good. I guess the cost is pretty average. It seems in line with other things I have had done over recent years. I am glad to have the use of my electrical line back!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one we got with Desert Home Electric. From the initial phone call and estimate in September to the completion of the job, everything went wonderfully. I never had an issue getting in touch with the office and frequently talked to the owner himself. Everyone was polite, helpful, and accommodating. They understood when we had to postpone the job, happily provided revised quotes upon request (twice), and set us up with an appointment within days of confirming we wanted to work with them. We did call a couple other companies, but the estimates were comparable and we felt really confident in Desert Home after speaking to the owner, Stephen. Jorge Jr. and Jorge Sr. completed our job in two days and we had quite a bit of work done. They were sooo friendly, polite, and professional the entire time. They went out of their way to make as few holes in the drywall as possible. These guys really took the time to get the job right and their attention to detail was fantastic. On the first day, there was a slight miscommunication about the can lights they would be using (they didn't match our others) and Desert Home Electric provided us new can lights to match for a discount. We were so pleased by their willingness to go above and beyond. We are very, very happy with our new lighting, outlets and outdoor lights. They absolutely exceeded my expectations and I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have electrical work performed. We will definitely be asking for Jorge Jr and Sr the next time we need work done! Thank you to Steve and the whole team for a great experience.

Our technician Ociel was great. On time, friendly, and did a PERFECT job installing in a rather hard vaulted area. Fair price and was done quickly. Will use them again.

The gentleman was nice however I thought I was being taken advantage of. If I wouldn’t have done my research and called other companies he would have taken me for that amount of money. I probably wouldn't call him for future needs.

There was no power in one of my tenant's apartments. Tenant was rightfully panicked. I called several electrical "24-hour" service providers. The earliest appointment was two days. Desert electrical dispatched repair team within an hour. The office staff was very cordial.

It went really well. Jorge was super nice and courteous. He offered to take his shoes off to go upstairs which is what we do and I liked that I didn't have to ask. He was quick and friendly and cleaned up his work space. I would absolutely do business with this company again. The company charges an 85 dollar service fee and then 60 per hour.

Everything was excellent! Total professionalism. Asked what I wanted, laid out lighting, asked if I liked the placement. Laid plastic down on the cover to collect trash. Wore shoe protectors when he came in the house. Did the job without any complaints or issues. Cleaned everything up when he left. Ociel was the person that did the work. He's fantastic and really knows his profession. We are very, very happy with this company and will definitely use them in the future.

desert home was recommended by O'Conner elec. as he could not accommodate me. desert home came to house ,same day I called them .the problem was diagnosed and corrected promptly.will use them any time I need service.

Dear Steve/Owner I had a problem with this company a while back and i just want to say he refunded me my money which he did not have to do and it was greatly appreciated,like i said before i have no problem paying for service,just don't like to be overcharged,so since you refunded me the total amount ,you are welcome to send me a Bill for a reasonable amount and i be happy to pay it, Thank you for your consideration

Arrived on time. Outlets were wired wrong so he re-wired the outlets. All is working now. Will use them again.

Extremely thorough, with the exception of going up to the roof. Very courteous and gave us tips on what to fix and why. He put our mind at ease regarding what is important to repair and what is only cosmetic. He took his time, and checked everything even when we told him we did not care about some items to be inspected. He insisted he does a complete, thorough inspection.

I had a ceiling fan and light that would not work. Dave arrived right on time. The fan and light had voltage going to them, so he found a loose connector in the fan. The service was excellent.

what a ripoff,my own stupidity,i totally forgot to check my breaker when i did get no electricity on one side of the kitchen so dave comes out ,pushes the breaker over and guess what ??FIXED>then he tells me he will change out the one breaker above and switch them,not replace them switch them,not asking if that is ok,but i guess he needed to make it look good to charge me $115.00 dollars,the job took maybe 5 minutes,i understand the came to my house and the have to get paid for there service but $115.00 dollars that is crazy,i will never ever use them again

I called the company from Denver, as my son lives in the Las Vegas area and needed some additional electrical circuits added to his computer/office room. When I called, the woman was very pleasant and assured me that the work could be done in two or three days after the estimate. When we got to Las Vegas, I called again and she set up an appointment. Juan came out and looked the job over and the estimate came in and we had Juan come over to do the work. Since the garage was finished, they did have to cut a few holes to fish the wires through, but we easily patched them up like new. My son now has three new circuits in one room and one new one in another room. Everything was done neatly and he and his co worker, Carlos, were all done in a half day.

He was punctual and someone with the company called me through the day to make sure I knew how much longer it would be.

Completed in an hour and the work was good - there were two men to do the job.

the ceiling fan in my mster died on a triple digit day at first went out and flipped all the breakers still no ceeiling fan Called Steve and he was absolutely the nicest most helpful man on this earth He instructed me to try all thwe wall switches and the remote for the fan I did just what he told me to and sure enough it worked he was willing to send one of his men out today and it being near 4pm I was very happy I highly reccomend this company I love Angies List and will use Steve's company again a huge Thank You Steve

The contractor showed up right on time, took a quick look and fixed the problem (a switch in the breaker box that had gone bad) in under an hour. He was mindful-- took off his shoes before stepping on the carpet, professional, polite, friendly and knowledgeable.

FANTASTIC!! Very professional, reasonable pricing, and thorough work. Technician (Dave) wasn't what I expected for a Saturday emergency-call-repair.

If all their employees are as good as Juan, then this is a blessed business. He was professional, polite and courteous. I am waiting for an estimate of some more work that I want done and will definately be using this business again.
