+ 0 moreTwo weeks ago we bought new carpet through the local big box store and it was installed through their contract installer. We were satisfied with the install and only had problems with some seams. We voiced our concerns and help was on it's way. The problem was found to be mainly color issues with the provided carpet and the mill sent out Desert Floor Inspections from Las Vegas to investigate. Marty Sures and his wife Penny showed up right on time and introduced themselve. Marty has been in the bussiness for many years and proceeded to explain what they were going to do to inspect. I wish all service providers worked the way Marty did. He sat down on the carpet and expained everything from how carpet was made to how it should be installed. No problems were found cocerning the install, but color inconsistencies were noted and expained. Penny is a Color Repair Technician and she asked if they could bring in some equipment and atempt to repair the color problem. Within a couple of hours they had brought in the equipment, masked off areas and applied the same die used at the factory and solved the problem. We were amazed. The seams disapeared and our problem was solved. My wife and I both have nothing but praise for the work that was done and the way it was handled. I would recomment Desert Floor Inspections to anybody that has color issues with their carpet or needs help in figuring out how to proceed with a fix. I can't comment on the price/cost catagory because it was covered by the carpet mill. Marty indicated they not only work for the mills but also service private accounts as well. Thanks again for a great job Mark and Penny.

Description of Work: Called up Marty Sures of Desert Floor Inspections to do an inspection on my newly installed hardwood floors that were delaminating and cracking. I probably spoke with him for a total of nearly an hour before I actually decided to have him do the inspection. During our initial discussion, I became more and more comfortable that Mr. Sures knew his profession well, and that I could believe that any conclusion he made was valid. He is certified, and maintains his competency and training to do flooring inspections. Mr. Sures came out and did an extensive examination of my floors spending approximately 3 1/2 hours taking measurements, documenting the defects, and photographing his findings. Mr. Sures provided a written report with all the measurements that he took, photographs, and conclusions regarding the cause of the delamination and cracking in my flooring. He explained the rationale and provided references when appropriate for his conclusions. This will be very helpful if there is a dispute regarding who is responsible for the problems in the floor. After he sent me the report we spent over an hour discussing it, and he even sent me further documentation to support his findings that the delamination was a manufacturing responsibility. If you want the cheapest inspection, then probably you can find someone else. If you want a real answer about the problems you may be having with your flooring based on actual science and industry standards, and research, then I highly recommend Desert Flooring Inspections.

The inspections will encompass the material, installation and maintenance. We also perform specialized testing related to the performance of the above materials. Our walkway auditor training enables us to evaluate the co-efficient of friction in relating to prevention and mitigation of slip and fall events.
We do not sell, install or perform general cleaning on any floorcovering material.
