He explained the electrical wasn't up to code and was able to fix it during his visit. He really went above and beyond the call of service, and I truly appreciated it.

Curt measured my kitchen, looked at the tiles I had already purchased, talked to me about the design I envisioned, then provided a reasonable estimate. Curt went out of his way to make time on his schedule to get the work done before Thanksgiving, called ahead to let me know when he was coming, then worked quickly and cleanly to complete the job. I absolutely love the result, and got so many compliments from friends and family over the holiday. I would recommend Curt's Home Repairs without reservation, and will be using their services in the future.

They didn't make any excuses and didn't take any breaks. He is very trustworthy and friendly. They even put the texture back on the wall. I wish you all could see the before and after as it looks like nothing had ever happened.
Description of Work: We had a leak and before repairing the leak, they needed to tear out the inner walls.

+ 4 moreCurt and his crew were very professional, always on time as well as being friendly and polite. When issues came up that no one had counted on, Curt always consulted us before continuing. We now have a beautiful bathroom that works!
Description of Work: The subfloor had to be replaced, and they also replaced part in the room next to the bathroom that had been damaged. They installed concrete drywall around the shower, and tiled both the shower and floor. They installed the vanity and found that the plumbing didn't match the back of the vanity, so had to relocate the plumbing. They also installed grab bars in the shower tile. As well as installing all the normal things in a bathroom, they also retextured and painted. A piece of the downstairs ceiling had to be repaired due to the leak.

It took him about 3 1/2 hours to complete the job (including a run to the Home Depot to acquire necessary items). He cleaned upon completion and confirmed satisfaction with me. Very pleased with the results and will hire hime again in the future. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: Took out existing undercabinet microwave oven and replacing it with range hood. Also included creating an opening in the wall for side venting. Ran into a minor problem regarding positioning of the vent because of an obstructive gas line but Curt was able to improvise and get around this issue without touching the gas line.

Description of Work: Curt was excellant. Came out to our home first day I called and gave us an estimate for requested work. Mid stream, I changed my mind (go figure) and wanted a complete remake rather than a patch job on my shower. He rolled with the flow, added only one extra day to the work schedule and got the job done. He removed all old tile and greenboard. Removed concrete showerpan and rotted wood at base of shower. Replaced everything with all new materials in my chosen color scheme.

He had to make a trip to Home Depot for a part and the price for the pre-quoted job did not change. He is honest and fast and efficient. I would recommend him to anyone, and I will have him back for many other projects around here.

We had wanted a new shower enclosure and we didn't know that we needed to use a glass company because it had to be specially cut. Curt advised us and steered us in the right direction. We had also asked him to quote the repairs to the drywall. He did a great job for the exact price he quoted. We will definitely use him again. He is very knowledgeable and nice.
Description of Work: Curt repaired and re-painted our drywall and baseboard behind the washing machine because last year the hose broke and water sprayed the area.

+ 1 moreI found this service to be very professional. Mr. Collins is able to handle a wide variety of repairs, and is upfront and helpful. Pleasant, tidy, quick and on time. I would definitely use Curt's Home Repairs again.
Description of Work: There were two issues: 1. I had a completely blocked dryer vent where the wall to appliance connection was improperly installed and poorly connected. This problem made it impossible for the delivery men who brought my new dryer to install it safely. The vent needed to be cleaned and the drywall needed to be cut away around the connection so that new venting could be properly installed. Mr. Collins cleared the vent and re-built the vent connection. He patched, textured and painted the drywall around the connection. He then installed my new dryer. 2. A fairly simple problem with a toilet that was constantly running needed to have new parts installed. Mr. Collins did replace all internal parts.

+ 2 moreCurt was very, very professional when he came and did the estimate. I was impressed with his honesty and his knowledge of everything I wanted to have done. I hired a company to do the cabinets and the countertop but Curt did everything else. His estimates were spot on and the work that he did was exceptional. When he told me that he would start and end on a certain day, he would. Everyone who has seen my new kitchen and floors through out the house are totally impressed with the work that was done.
Description of Work: I had new kitchen cabinets, countertops, appliances and flooring installed in my home. Curt's Home Repairs came in and fixed my water line to my fridge before the new cabintes were installed, reinstalled all my appliances and the new ones I bought and put in a new sink, faucet and new plumbing for all. Curt also installed a new ceramic backsplash under all the new cabinets. After, the kitchen was done, I had new laminate flooring and baseboards installed in my kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway and Curt did it all. Several issues came up since my house is close to 40 years old and Curt was able to come up with a solution to everything that had come up.

+ -1 moreIt went great. Floor looks wonderful. I did not arrive until work was almost completed and was very happy with how it all went. He was great about calling me if he had any questions while working on the job. Since it is a 50 year old house that had some "interesting" things done in the past we had some minor things to resolve. He had great suggestions and all went well. I feel he was very honest and didn't try to "nickel and dime" me to death. There were a few things he purchased that we ended up not using and could not return but he didn't charge me for the items since he felt he would be able to use them at a later date
Description of Work: We inherited a home in Las Vegas and do not live in LV so I use Angie's list to hire contractors to do some work on the house. I called 3 different ones from the list and Curt was the most responsive, prompt and so nice, friendly & happy. He gave me an estimate to put down a laminate floor and a few other small things. Putting down the floor also involved base & shoe trim. It was a kitchen, FR, dining room, hallways, closets and a bathroom. This was a 50 year old house and had various flooring down in these areas. Since the others I called were not as responsive, I had to do some additional checking to see if I was getting a fair price. He did not get the job because he was the only one who came out to give me an estimate. He got the job because upon meeting him, and checking pricing, I felt he would do a great job and was a person who took pride in his work. He did not disappoint.
