Compudoc Computer Repair

We were happy with the responsiveness and turn-time that Compudoc offered. We were disappointed that the pc wasn't worth fixing, but they offered us cash for it toward a used netbook that we have been perfectly happy with.

Matt arrived on time and did the job efficiently. He even had a little time left and helped cleanup a laptop that was running slowly. All in all, a good use of an Angie coupon deal.

They worked on the tower right away. Plugged in a new fan and it started the computer. They replaced the fan and clean the inside of the tower and out thedoor I went. fast and friendly service.

Matt was wonderful! I purchased the $49 for one hour of service and ended up keeping him for 3 hours. I had just purchased my first iPad and he sync'd it and my iPhone to the computer. I can now access my emails through my computer, iPhone and iPad. He was extremely patient with this computer illiterate, explaining it simply and in terms I could understand. I have already referred them to a co-worker and will definitely use them again in the future.

The gentleman arrived on time, as promised, and went right to getting the job done within the time prescribed. He was neat, courteous and certainly knew what he was doing. By the time he left, all of my computer equipment, modem and router were properly working. I could not ask more and would certainly use this service again.

It wasn’t good. I don’t think my computer was improved at all. I didn’t know what else could be done. So I didn’t call the vendor back. I probably should have or could have called him back, maybe he would have come back out but I just didn’t think that his evaluating the problem was very extensive either. He just decided that it needed to be defragged and that was it. It wasn’t a very satisfying experience for me.

Tech was very nice and put up with my dogs! He gave a little training on what I was doing wrong. I highly recommend these folks!

Excellent. Diagnosed issues and helped me correct my DSL connection.

Showed up on time. I needed two computers combined, one with Vista and one with Windows 7...and wanted to keep the newer stronger computer for use...I'm not sure what exactly was done but after a lot of reprogramming and loading it appeared that it hadn't worked correctly so he had to take it all off and re-program. When he left I realized some of the things I needed had not been transferred, he remotely took over the computer to fix one of the issues and said he'd have to come back to take care of my missing mail and we'd need to schedule another appt. Decided to go another route as I was afraid this would be a continuation of the services I had originally paid for but somehow got missed in the transition.

All went well and also learned a few things about the PC and printer.

It worked it great. I did have to take the computer back an extra time, they couldn't find the problem but they didn't charge me extra and they fixed it in a timely manner. They did it all at no charge.

Matt is very professional, and computer savvy. I guess he went through my computer, of course, my computer did not act up while he was here, but he went through it and cleaned out. It is still noty working up to par, this is the third time I am trying to write this. but it my computwer has been acting up for so long, I just wait and keep at it, and it will do its thing eventually.

Matt was able to explain why some videos load slowly (we don't subscribe to a high enough download speed) and how to get rid of annoying junk mail. He taught us how to transfer valuable files to a flash drive (SIMPLE, once you know) and how to manage the uploading of photos, from our digital camera to the computer. While we're 'semi-tech-savvy' senior citizens, these issues frustrated us. Now we have all the answers we needed! Best of all, Matt addressed our issues, without trying to sell us software/equipment, like previous computer services have done. It's great to know we now have a service we can trust!

Compudoc Computer Repair was okay. Our computer was running slow and he did some repairs. He really didn't improve the speed of the computer much. They piddled around for two hours and never said they were going to charge us $70.00 more for the second hour. They never mentioned a word. I was so disgusted. As soon as they finished, they said, "Now you owe me. I was here for two hours." It's still not fixed. It's still having the same issues. He defragged it and that was it. He didn't do a doggone thing to it. This was the first time I've used them and will be the last time. I would use them, if I thought they'd do the job. They just did no job. They came and defragged. It worked a little faster, it's back to the same old thing and it has been. I'm not calling him back. I would have never had called him. Their regular price of $70.00 an hour is very expensive. I'm very unhappy. He never once said, "If I stay here one hour and one minute, I'm charging you for another hour." Never, not once. He didn'tstay quite two hours.

Compudoc Computer Repair came out and worked with me for two or three hours on the computer. I was favorably impressed with him. He did an excellent job. I was real happy that I used him.

They did an excellent job and answered all of my questions.

So far it seems to be working fine and they managed to save most of the files.

The work was performed timely and professionally. There were no "surprise" charges. The cost was what the quote was.

I just received a call back from Matt and we talked at length about what my problem was. And as usual it was communication. When I said the computer was slow he jumped right in and went to work and I didn't tell him exactly what my problem was - what really was the problem. I suggested in the future he slow down and talk to the customer for a few minutes and understand just what the problem is before starting and I acknowledged I should have made my problem clearer. After the concern from this company with a call back, would use them again.

Everything went very well. From the first call to the appointment,they were very professional. The work performed was excellent. My computer is running beautifully.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out well. We had to replace a motherboard on the computer which was about another $100. But they delivered as required. It was expensive but it was necessary.

The service was fine. The computer seems to be working better now since he did that. It was great that he came to the house and I didn't have to take the computer somewhere else.

I was pretty sure that there was something bigger than just needing a tune up because of how slow it was going. They replaced the hard drive, which they informed me was getting close to giving out anyway, and installed Windows 7 on it for no additional charge.

I have dealt with Counpudoc since 1997 for all of my computer needs and disasters (my own fault) and Garth (the owner) and Matt (the tec.} all ways do the repairs and upgrades on all of my computers on time and whithin a very reasonable cost. Garth and Matt are all ways up front about the cost , time line and repairability of the computers. Last week my main computer died and Matt was able to come over to my house on the same day and at the time he said he willl be over,sure enough he showed up at the time he said, repaired my computer and also he told me how to fix the problem the next time it happens agian. their service is GREAT!!.
