Cloud Carpet One Floor & Home

The actual carpet product from Cloud Carpet One is fine, but extremely poor installation and a month of follow-up with very poor communication results in a low grade for the vendor. I started looking at replacing carpet on the second floor of my home about six months ago. I had a specific cut-and-loop from Royalty in mind, but unfortunately that carpet is no longer made. Tom at Cloud Carpet One was fairly helpful in locating an alternate carpet and ordering up samples, but once the contract was signed for installation, he pretty much faded into the background. Installation occurred in early April. The installers banged up walls more that I've ever seen in the the half-dozen or so times I've had carpet work done at various homes in the last 30 years. I spent the next week retouching paint all over the second floor. Worse, a major seam in the master bedroom was done as poorly as I've ever seen - and this is a random pattern carpet. A combination of pinching and gaps made the seam truly horrendous. Calls to Tom were transferred off to George, who apparently is in charge of fixing installation errors. His follow-up and communication was generally poor, although once I actually got him into the house to see the situation, he agreed with me that the installation was done poorly and he'd get people back to fix it. That took another two weeks of phone calls and follow-up, all initiated by me, and one instance of a supposed sick installer causing yet another reschedule. All in all I've probably spent 8 hours working the phones, getting time away from work, and finally (today) having the rework installers come and fix the problems. The work done today looks very good, although not perfect, but I think I'll have to live with the results and take lessons learned. Cloud Carpet One can sell you good carpet at a fair price; they just can't install it or recover from service errors very well.

We chose to upgrade to tile and extended it through entry, hall, and bathroom. They were very professional and the result was wonderful. The insurance company paid all except the upgrade which amounted to only $900 that we had to pay for that. Any future flooding will only result in a cleaner floor and no damage.

Their skill and work performance show in the beautiful floors I have in my home. I could not be happier with this project completion. I will use them again for my next project. From the designer, office help, floor managers, crews and supervisors, you cannot beat Cloud Carpet One.

Very professional. Salesman was friendly and helped us find a solution that met our needs and budget. Installers were efficient and even helped put furniture back although wasn't on order.

Everything went quite well. We had a lot of deadlines and difficulties because we were having work done to a short sale house with a rehab loan. They were very accomodating. When problems came up with our loan company having delays with paying for the flooring, they were understanding, where as other vendors we were using were not. More importantly, everytime I have needed something looked at and repaired, they have followed thru. I especially like that the Chief Operating Officer, Ed, is very nice and friendly and comes out personally to take a look. If only other companies in Vegas provided good service like this. It is very refreshing. I just had to write an Angie's list review to say thank you to the people at Cloud Carpet.

They had good prices. They seemed to be pretty professional. The salesman told me that all of the installers were employed by the company and they didn't have any contracted employees, but then it was a contractor who showed up and he did not work for them. He contracted for Cloud Carpets and Draperies. I had no problem with the installers; they were very good but it's just that the salesman told me that everybody worked for this company. They are employees who have all the benefits and all their stuff. So he lied to me. I will use them again in the future.

Our overall experience was excellent. We had called them out to work on some grouting that we had in a condo that we own and we fully expected to be charged for the visit but they had originally installed the tile in the kitchen area where we needed the grouting redone and there was absolutely no charge. We would rate them highly and would absolutely use them again in the future.

The company was very easy to deal with. Salesman worked with us on the price and the installers did a great installation and cleaned up after done. The installers even repaired a small section of carpet in another room.

My daughter just used them and they are a really good company. They had good service and I think that they are competent. They do what they say they're going to do and I liked that company.

Excellent. Our salesperson was able to match the new tile to our 5-year-old tile perfectly. The contractors arrived exactly as specified and even completed the job ahead of schedule. All work was completed professionally, and nothing was damaged in the process. This had been of particular concern because of the necessity of moving the bathroom commode. Everything was cleaned up afterward as if no one had been there, and the new tile looks as if it had been part of the original construction. We were very pleased with the overall experience.

I ordered the tile 2 weeks prior to a scheduled installation; the installers arrived, moved furniture from one side of the house to the other, ripped out the old carpet, and then brought the wrong tile. It took another 4 days to get the correct tile from Phoenix -- management didn't seem too hurried. It was an inconvenience to have the house in disarray and my week's schedule was upset. The installers and workers worked hard and professionally; I had no problem with their actual work and was pleased with the final product. The only call I had three days after completion was to inquire when I would send my check. Overall, not a positive experience being a customer.

After reading the positive reviews on Angie's List, we went to Cloud Carpet for a quote to replace approximately 1,000 square feet of carpet in a recently purchased home. Immediately upon entering the showroom, we were greeted by David, who was friendly and informative and helped us pick the right shade. Two installers arrived on time and removed and disposed of the old carpet before installing the new carpet. They were efficient and polite, and cleaned up after their work. Our new carpet looks great - you can't see any seams, and the shade that David recommended is perfect.

The installers for Cloud Carpets were very professional and knowledgeable. They made the seams in the carpet look non existent. They were friendly and very helpful when it came to instructions for caring for our new floors. It seems like no sooner then they started they were done with the installation.

Cloud Carpets and Draperies did a pretty good job of installing our pad. They cut everything right and the padding stayed in its place. I was pleased with the work that they did. There was no cost to me because my insurance had paid for this job.

Cloud did a good job, but we made the mistake of choosing the wrong carpeting. There are no tacks or seams visible, and it was installed properly. However, now it's hard to clean because it's got some loops which get stuck in the carpet cleaner, and it's not holding together too well.

Cloud Carpets and Draperies did a very good job installing our carpet. I did have a problem with the carpet having some sort of highlight in it so I had them come back out and steam clean the carpet again. That is why I did give them the B's. The five hundred dollars was the deductible we had to pay for insurance.
