roof cleaning
+ -1 moreI called Clay to ask for an estimate on Thursday afternoon. He came out Thursday evening and gave me an estimate of $300. He said he would be back at 5am the next morning and finish the job in approximately 6 hours. I checked with another roof cleaning service and they couldn't come out to give an estimate for several days. Not wanting to wait, I hired Clay on the spot. Clay was courteous and informative about his procedure. He was punctual, as quiet as possible considering the early hour, and tidied everything up as he worked. His actual completion time matched his estimate. I climbed up to the roof to inspect what he had done once Clay finished. It was an amazing difference. As far as I could see he completed everything he told me he would do. I am very pleased.
Description of Work: DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Cleaned 10 bags worth of pigeon guano from around the A/C roof units and roof valleys, placed chicken wire around the units and the chimney to prevent further pigeon nesting. MEMBER COMMENTS: When I had estimates for a new A/C roof unit, both of the companies that bid on the job told me I had a severe pigeon guano problem on my roof -- over 2 feet high in spots. They both showed me pictures and suggested I get my roof cleaned as soon as possible because the guano could eat through my roof tiles. The guano contains over 60 kinds of bacteria that can cause sickness and even death, so was a health hazard as it blew off into the yard.
