+ -1 moreThe first appointment, the gentleman never showed up. We set up another appointment and the gentleman came out and took a look. I asked him if any of the jobs were too small. He said no and that he would fax me an estimate. None ever came. When I called, the receptionist said that she would check on it. I never heard back from her, and when I called back, she told me that they decided to pass on my job, that is was too small.

+ 1 moreWork was generally excellent. Contractor's personal affairs resulted in distraction from completion of project in a timely fashion. Portions of the work were not acceptable, most probably due to the same factors. This work is scheduled to be red-one. The company's responses were excellent; the problems resulted from the individual contractors inability to give attention to detail and time to finish the work.
Description of Work: Moved utilities to garage after building a pony wall; installed four ceiling fans; installed garage ceiling storage racks.

+ -1 moreIf I spoke directly with the repairman there was no problem, but if I left messages at the office or spoke with the office staff, information didn't get passed along. We needed to delay the start due to a product issue (tub surround); this information was never passed from the office to the repairman. He showed up on schedule to start the project. Repairman, Dennis, was fabulous. He did a great job, cleaned up after himself, identified additional things that we needed to review. He pieced the bathroom together so we could use it while we waited for the right part. It arrived. We have had nothing but problems with this place since we tried to schedule the final work. And then found out Dennis wasn't there anymore.
Description of Work: The bathroom was completely demolished and rebuilt. There was a problem with the tub surround that was ordered and we had to just fit the bathroom together to complete later. The surround came in on 11/22 and we contacted the company. Found out our repairman was no longer working for them. They finally sent someone out to look into it and he had no clue what was going on.

+ 2 moreHe was very, very sloppy with the painting. I had to clean paint off the floor inside the door and off the doormat and cement front porch. I had to call him back (no charge) to fix the screen that hadn't been hung properly.
Description of Work: I needed my front door and frame replaced, plus the inside wall painted. They also did a repair of some stucco and painting of it.

+ 0 moreKeith was a total professional. I was impressed when I was watching him tile. He needed to go out to his truck for something and he checked the bottom of his shoes before he walked out of the bathroom and onto the carpet. Not too many guys remember to do that.
Description of Work: My elbow penetrated a wall of my shower, due to the weakening of the greenboard behind the tile. When called for an estimate, Keith was punctual and specific. He checked the strength of the other walls and said that repair of the damaged one, would be sufficient. The estimate was for $480.00 for labor and I needed to get the tile and mastic. He supplied the greenboard, insulation, grout and caulk. The first visit was for demo, then he came back a week later, when we were sure that the interior was thoroughly dry, put the tile and waited a day for the grout to completely harden, then returned to caulk. There was minimal dust and dirt. He completely cleaned up after himself. I thought that for the time spent here, for the work done and for the way the work was done, that the cost was very reasonable.

+ -1 moreI have never had the same guy come twice, but each one was courteous and professional. The work they've done was done right the first time, and I've always been pleased. They charge about $90/hour for the labor, plus parts (although I usually have all the materials purchased and ready to go). I recommend them highly.
Description of Work: I've used LV Handyman 6 times in 5 years. They've replaced door locks, removed and installed ceiling fans, installed a garbage disposal, replaced the guts of 3 toilets, fixed a door, installed weather stripping, and several other things.

When the he showed up, he handed me a brochure & his business card & immediately addressed my pups! He was clean cut, funny & gave me a fair estimate. He did the job quickly & he cleaned up thoroughly after himself when he was finished. I think my home looked better after he left! I think the doggie door was the best gift I gave my pup!
Description of Work: Installation of a doggie door. I had to have the entrance cut out of our wall and have an electrical outlet moved.

They were very good and trustworthy people to work with. They did a wonderful job in our master bedroom. They were very polite people who listened to what I wanted done.
Description of Work: They took out our vanity and a 10x5 foot mirror in our master bedroom. They then installed insulation and four pieces of sheet rock. They also painted the walls when they were done with the drywall.

+ -1 moreI had service the same day I called for an appointment. They ended up only being here for about an hour and a half. I thought things were great and they did a very nice and clean job. I was amazed they only charged me the retail price for the heater which was awesome. Most companies do what s called a markup and boost your price; I was very impressed they did not do that to me. Their honesty goes a long way in my book.
Description of Work: Pro Handyman was hired to come out and replace my old wore out water heater with a new one.

I do not think that the price was worth the work that he did. I will never use him again and I do not recommend other people to use him as well.

Aside from the fact they have a variety of skills, they are capable of doing the job on short notice, and are reasonable priced. I have a real estate business, and they have done several different jobs in that capacity as well. As long as the work is professionally done, I will continue hiring them.
