Bugsy's Blinds & Custom Shutters

It went pretty well overall. The sales person Kathe was delightful and very responsive. She would come by my house at my request to discuss details and options, etc. The company was flexible with the order process, allowing me to order in phases while honoring the estimated cost. The one downside was the installation process. During the first install I pointed out a manufacture flaw in one of the shutter doors. I had to call about 3 times over a period of 4 weeks to get someone to address the issue. Bugsy's did replace that particular door, so it was resolved to my satisfaction. During the last install, the installers didn't seem to use a level, and installed two side by side windows that were clearly not level. When I called the next day, Bugsy customer service was prompt in scheduling a repair. It was repaired to our satisfaction. The staff are very friendly, professional, and generally prompt in resolving the issues that came up during the installs. The quality of the Graber shutters is great.

sales person showed up on time and wrote a bid for the proposed shade. shade material was significantly inferior to material used by two major competitors who specialize in exterior shades. bid was also significantly higher, nearly twice as much. calling this company was a complete waste of time. inferior product, double the price.

The salesman, Greg, was very professional and arrived promptly. He did not try to upsell his products but discussed options and affordability. We selected a lower priced shutter and there was no pressure to spend more. The order was placed promptly. Within the six to eight week time frame we received a call that the shutters were ready. The appointment was scheduled at my convenience. The installers arrived promptly and quickly installed the shutters. They were very professional and completed the job in less than two hours. The installation looks great! I can't praise this company enough. Every phase of the purchase was handled in an excellent manner!

Their representative was knowledgable and efficient and we quickly picked out blinds to meet our needs. The blinds arrived in two weeks as promised and the installation was quick and well done. We are very pleased with Bugsy's Blinds and highly recommend them.

I left at least 4 messages with the receptionist?? She said Rafael would call me back.I mentioned Angie's List. Rafael and no one else ever returned any of my messages. I have 10 windows that needed either shutters or verticals. Not good!!!

This was a very good experience, and I would return to Bugsy's for future needs. I would want to deal again with Scot, who was less glamorous but far better organized and confidence-inspiring than the estimators from two other shops. I especially appreciated his noting a drawback to the much more expensive "Luminettes" that I originally intended to get: When opened, the stack would block 25" to 30" of my view. As a resulted, I ordered simple vertical blinds. The process worked just as Scot described. The blinds look good, hang very well, and operate very smoothly. I'm docking the quality by one grade because the blades are straight rather than the S-shaped I selected. Overall, though, an A experience

Professional salesperson came out to house with ideas to solve our privacy issue on long living room windows that are a pair of sliding glass door units. We already had sheer drapes across that wall, floor to ceiling 10 ft high, and wanted to keep them, but add a layer of background privacy at night. It took her 3 appointments bringing different books of products to come up with the solution that blended function, looks, and price. We had particular challenges of access and appearance, not all manufacturers offer products in the length or height we needed, followed by not wanting to spend $5000 as the first idea came to. Ended up with a nice fabric for roller shades. We were quoted about 2 weeks to make, and they were right on time, scheduled installation. Installers were on-time, friendly and professional. They had to take down the existing sheer traverse rod, install the blinds, then re-install the drapes. Plus one other small and terribly simple shade (in beautiful colored damask fabric) on a dining room door. Took about 2 hours. The living room blinds are rather large and heavy, and so a bit of a struggle to pull up and down with the ball-type chains on each side, but they function and look absolutely perfect for what we needed. Would definitely use Bugsy's again.

We LOVE the shutters. And the price was great. When we purchased this home the window covering in the guest rooms were tan honeycombs that made the rooms dark at all times. We went to the showroom on Nov. 3 (they were open on Sunday) because I'm a visual person and wanted to SEE the options and get ideas. We met with Rafael who gave us ideas as we talked through the project and decided how we wanted to go. Rafael came to our home the following afternoon to get the measurements. Because of the half moon he made two suggestions on how the shutters might open and we made a change to the earlier discussions. We had mentioned on Sunday that we had guests coming for Thanksgiving and it would be nice to have them in but Rafael thought it would be more like just after Thanksgiving. When he came to do the measurements he said they would try to get them in before Thanksgiving. and they came through. I must say we were surprised at the cost, we thought they'd be more and we're so happy with the shutters they bring such a richness to the rooms.

Scheduled an appointment with Scot for an estimate for window coverings. When he arrived he showed me several different options that would work for me. I placed an order that day and was very happy with my selection along with the pricing. I found Scot to be professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The one thing about Scot is that he is laid back and not pushy. Great quality to have when selling a product.

Out of many window covering companies this one by far exceeded all my expectations. Most businesses I checked out on Angie's list did not have a storefront and seemed very fly by nightish. After visiting there store, my insecurities were relieved. They had gorgeous draperies and hunter Douglas products that are so awesome. I got those and Disney blinds for my sons room. Apparently they are the only authorized company allowed to sell Disney blinds in Las Vegas. Installation was smooth and they financed my entire order.

This was my first encounter with Angie's List. Bugsy did good work, most of all their installers were absolutely great. I was very pleased with the way they operated.

I did not hire this company only because of cost. I found a company to beat the price because it was a friend of the family. Price was paramount to me because I had a fixed budget. Bugsy's tried very hard to compete and would have won except for the special deal I got from a friend's shop. JUDY must be commended for giving it her best and this is no reflection on her or on Bugsy's.

The sales rep was on time and brought several samples for me to look at. She was polite and professional. She took the time to go over all of there products and provided me with a written estimate. I had several other companies scheduled for estimates, so she left her written estimate with me. She called for a follow up about a week later, where I explained that I had chosen a different company. She remained polite and asked me to call if I ever needed other services. The reason I chose a different company was simply because they did not have the product I was looking for at that time. In the future if I'm in need of other window treatments I will call them

Visited the showroom and spoke with Kathy a couple of weeks ago, she went over the different blinds and prices. One of the managers gave me the $99 blinds for $89 since I was purchasing 11. Kathy came out 2 days later and measured all of the windows. She said it could take up to 3 weeks for them to be finished, I got the call that they were done in under 2 weeks. It took a bit of hassling to get an install date that worked best for me, but a manager worked it out and they were able to accommodate my schedule. My install window was between 12-4, I received a call at 11:30 and they were at my door at 11:59. It took about an hour for the 2 man crew to install all 11 blinds and the patio door, very professional. I was also told that if I ever want to upgrade they will credit me the cost I paid for these blinds and apply it to new ones, basically buying them back in exchange for going with a better product. All in all a good experience and I would use them again.

Salesman was friendly and knowledgeable Installer was friendly and accomodating. Very pleased with everything about the transaction, and the blinds look great!

The blinds in my bedrooms, bathrooms, and family room are beyond my expectation. However, there was a dispute over what was done in my kitchen, but they agreed to come back and fix it. When they came back, the service was phenomenal! Everything about it was absolutely wonderful! They treated me like a princess! They will be coming back to do more work in my house soon!

The end result was fine, although I had some difficulty connecting to the people I wanted to talk to to inquire about installation schedule. When I finally got to the right person everything went very smoothly as far as the installation is concerned. The installers were very courteous and efficient. I noticed a small blemish on one of the boards, which promptly was annotated on the installation sheet. Everyone involved was very helpful in resolving the issue, and the board was replaced to our satisfaction. We received additional spares for future need.

The Representative who came to my new home for window measurements/quote was standoff-ish and cold, like she didn't even want to be there. I requested for quotes for faux wood blinds and shutters/blinds combo and did not receive a written quote. Stopping by the showroom proved unhelpful as well. Bad customer service is a deal-breaker for me and I will go elsewhere for my window treatments.

Overall we were very pleased with the work and service. Cynthia was very knowledgable and patient, even after come back to her 6 months after the initial quote and several rounds of options/pricing. She was prompt with returning emails and calls and was never a "pushy salesperson".

Initial inquiry was answered immediately and appt scheduled at convenient time. Representative called in advance and said he could come early if ok. Measured and provided competitive quote. When reviewed more closely it was determined that 1 window had been omitted. We called to clarify and yes it had been overlooked. Quote was then revised but it was still competitive. When we called back to place the order it took a couple of days to get a response. We provided a deposit and are waiting for the order to be competed. If the quality is as good as described, we will definitely recommend this supplier.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Conrad came to our home to measure our windows and provide a bid. He was very knowledgeable as well as friendly and personable. After he listened to what our vision was for our home he showed us samples and made suggestions with our ideas in mind. He was spot on and able to save us the headache of having to rifle through all of the samples. We trusted his expertise and thankfully so. The product was gorgeous! We went with the truffle colored Graber wood horizontals and a dark chocolate colored bamboo slider. I'm glad I listened to his suggestion of doing a 4 panel slider instead of the 3 panel. He also suggested the moulding (or valance, I forget what it's called) for the slider to match the blinds. It looks so so good. Overall great experience. Great service, great price, great product, quick install. No muss no fuss, happy customer.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were absolutely wonderful. There were no extra charges. The price was excellent. The quality of service was very good.

There was a problem and they were right on it helping me find a solution. Why I would not use Bugsy Blinds again is their lack of communication and the length of time from when my window coverings were delivered to them and the almost two weeks before they could install them. I had waited 6 weeks for the window coverings to arrive and was very frustrated when I had to wait two more weeks to be installed. I was also very frustrated that there was no communication or follow-up when I called to find out when they would be available.

Went very well except the sliding glass door.The hardware was supposed to cover the old holes from the previous blinds and did not.
