Response from Bugsy's Blinds & Custom Shutters
Dear Member, I apologize if you feel you were not serviced well. Some statements are correct in some aspects, but I'd like to clear the air for other services that were rendered free of charge to make you happy. You initially purchased a big deal for our promotional fauxwood blinds that come in a white or off white color. They're a basic blind that have very limited functions and shutters are considered an upgrade. On the shutter upgrade, part of your purchase was used towards the shutters and you ended up paying the difference. You also paid for 13 solar screens, which is about half of your home. They are proven by the manufacturer to reduce the heat glare from the sun up to 15-30% in savings. However, the actual savings is based on a whole home of coverage. I apologize if this was never explained to you. The sales manager was just trying to accommodate your needs as any designer is supposed to do. Seven months later you did contact us again and explained your dissatisfaction for the fauxwood blinds. We gave you a full credit for the fauxwood blinds to be used towards the purchase of the cellular shades. Normally, we ask for these blinds back and the notes in our system said you wished to keep them. We let you keep them anyway. You didn't like the light gaps that the blackout cell shades were allowing in on the sides, so our general manager authorized to encase your windows with a custom yellow paint color (of your choice) with a designer frame to block out the light gaps. Yes, it did take a few trips, but we got it done and never charged extra for this. That was $500 worth of labor and work. As far as the itemization goes, I'd be happy to get that for you. Normally, it is hard to break down an itemization if things are priced as a commercial quote, which is what our general manager did. I apologize if you were unsatisfied but all of the items we sell are on display in our showroom and show all the gaps you may get when purchasing window coverings. I feel we also went above and beyond the call of duty to make custom encasement frames to fix the light gaps, since manufacturers usually allow 1/4-5/16" gaps on each side. Please feel free to come see me and I'd be happy to see how else I can accommodate you. Respectfully, Conrad Trevino, CFO
