After the first HVAC company gave up, our warranty company gave the job to Buenos Aires. I wish they had gotten the call first. They have been nothing but outstanding! From their office staff to the technicians, they all know their job and do it very well. Our roof a/c unit is apparently an old piece of junk that is nearly impossible to get parts for anymore. This company persevered and even rewired a generic control board so we could have cold air in our house again. Due to our unit being an old piece of junk, it seemed like once one thing went, the rest decided to go, too. The tech who was just here said there are only two more things to replace on the unit. Since one thing broke at a time, they have been out here several times in the last two weeks. They either came the same day or the next day,and always gave a 2 or 3 hour time frame, and arrived within that time. I highly recommend this company! Oh, and ask for Forrest. He is very thorough.

can't give this company any stars, they don't deserve it. The owner Carlos Avemaria is extremely unprofessional and all he wants is your money. He does not care about the quality of work his employees do. I contracted with Carlos to put in a new air-conditioner and as part of our contract he included full air duct cleaning, LIBERTY AIR DUCT CLEANING. Which is part of his business. I explained to Carlos that my air ducts were 40 yrs. old and never been cleaned, he ASSURED me we would not have a problem. They were suppose to show up at 9:00a.m. and did not show up until after 11:00a.m. after I called to find out where they were. Devon (his employee) started to clean my air ducts and in the process of cleaning my air ducts stripped all the plastic coating on the inside of the duct work, which exp[osed all the fiberglass and insulation. He even ripped out parts of the metal coil that runs throughout the duct. He never said a word to me or to Carlos(according to Carlos). When Devon cleaned my first air duct and saw that he was stripping all the plastic coating out and exposing nothing but fiberglass and insulation he should have stopped, but he didn't, he kept on going. Which destroyed all my air ducts. I did not know what Devon had done until they kicked on my new air conditioner and fiberglass and insulation started to blow everywhere in my house. Later after they left I found the coils he ripped out of the air duct in my garbage cans throughout my house and outside. Carlos came out and asked what he could do, and I said replace my duct work. He would only replace 2, not the 6 that were destroyed. He would not take responsibility for the damage Devon did and started quoting me prices to replace the duct work Devon destroyed. The first price was $2000.00, then it was $800.00, then $385.00 and the final price was $350.00, which is what I paid to replace my 40 yr. old duct work that Devon destroyed. Devon replaced my duct work and managed to screw that up also. When I went up in my attic to inspect it, I was horrified at the work that was done. One of the ducts was actually falling off, all he did was tape the new duct work over the old. Needless to say when Carlos came out again and I tried explaining my situation, Carlos became very defensive and blamed the work that Devon had done on me. Carlos told me my duct work was the worst he had ever seen and there probably wasn't any plastic in the ducts. If that was the case, why did Devon clean them in the first place? Carlos and Fausto(the only professional one, does extremely great work) went up in my attic to see what Devon had done. They were in my attic 2 hrs. fixing the mistakes Devon did. When they were done, Carlos never had me inspect it, he just left without cleaning up the mess he left and with a very bad attitude. He told me Devon would probably be fired and Fausto had to lay in my insulated attic, as if it was my fault that Devon screwed up. Throughout this whole ordeal(which turned into my worse nightmare) all Carlos could talk about was the great price I got on my air-conditioning unit, which I heard 20-30 times. Great prices DO NOT MATTER WHEN THE WORK DONE SUCKS AND YOU LAND UP PAYING MORE. The attitude, unprofessionalism and blame Carlos came with is shameful. IT IS NOT MY FAULT HIS EMPLOYEE DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING, BUT IN CARLOS' EYES IT WAS AND I PAID FOR IT!!! I am in the process of filing complaints with the state contractor's board, BBB and consumer affairs. I will go on every website Carlos gave me to post my opinion of his work, which is deplorable. Carlos is very unprofessional, bad attitude and very defensive when you have a problem with the work done. I almost feel he throws in his air duct cleaning as part of his contract to lure you in. Some part of a scam, can't honestly say. I did everything right, checked him out with state contractor's board, BBB and his references and it still turned into my worse nightmare. BUYER BEWARE-IF YOU DO BUSINESS WITH BUENOS AIRES AIR & HEATING OR LIBERTY AIR DUCT CLEANING AND SOMETHING GOES WRONG, BE READY TO BE BLAMED FOR THEIR MISTAKES AND READY TO PAY FOR IT!!!! SHAME ON YOU CARLOS, ALL I WANTED WAS A NEW AIR CONDITIONER AND NOT THE NIGHTMARE THAT FOLLOWED. I will go on every website you suggested and post my comments about you and your company. **UPDATE** I would like to respond to Mr. Avemaria's comments on my prior complaint. None of what he said is true, I do not like when people assume that I am happy with the outcome of this. I am not happy. Pictures speak for themselves and those are just some of the pictures. Hopefully I can submit more pictures and you the customer can decide for yourselves if you want to do business with this company. It has been a headache for me from the very beginning. Mr. Avemaria was well aware my duct work was 40 years old, (I told him they were 40 years old and never been cleaned) he never inspected it but assured me we would have no problems. When we did have a problem, he would not accept responsibility for it. I did not lure him to replace my duct work as he claims, that is outrageous. He did not strap on his tool belt and come that day to fix his mistakes. He came the next day and Fausto did all the work, not Mr. Avemaria. Mr. Avemaria came with a very rude and unprofessional attitude. He said he would refund my money, which he never did. He wanted me to sign a paper stating I would not post any comments about his company, which I would not sign. This whole ordeal has been a nightmare and I wish I never would have done business with Mr. Avemaria. In his last paragraph he states he would like my business in the future, I HAVE A 10 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY WITH HIM. He either forgot or he plans on not honoring that warranty. It wasn't a few wires they stripped from 2 ducts, it was alot of wire and insulation from 6 ducts. He even stripped my intake, tore out wiring and left huge rips in that tubing. NONE OF HIS RESPONSE WAS TRUTHFUL!!!
Description of Work: Buenos Aires Air Conditioning & Heating Inc. put in a new air conditioning unit and as part of my contract the owner Mr. Carlos Avemaria added air duct cleaning as part of his service. I never mentioned it, Mr. Avemaria did. Liberty Air Duct Cleaning came on 4/5/2011 to clean my air ducts before installing my new AC unit. Devon his employee destroyed my air ducts and never said a word. And when he replaced what he destroyed, he did it all wrong and Mr. Avemaria had to redo it. I was also charged for something that they destroyed. What started out at $4700.00 turned into $5050.00, because my duct work was destroyed by Liberty Air Duct Cleaning-associated with Buenos Aires Air Conditioning & Heating Inc. I feel like I've been scammed.

Words cannot express how truly sorry we as a company and also myself are for the anxiety, frustration and inconvenience. This is especially saddening because Buenos Aires was founded on the promise of bringing honesty, quality and individual contact back to customer service. We want to ensure that your experience with us is happy, pleasing and most of all satisfied for everyone who chooses to do business with us. I have taken direct and full responsibility at the exact and moment of occurrence and the situation was handle correctly and in the best way possible. It was my personal notion that homeowner was very well pleased with the quick response and corrective measures that we made on our behalf to rectify the situation, after completing the job and fixing problems 100%, by her offering us drinks and chatting about the entire project, as she was mentioning how well satisfy with the Unit replacement she was and that the ductwork headache was finally resolved. We at Buenos Aires air conditioning & Heating, Inc. believe that our prices are below any of our competitors and $4700 for a brand new 4-ton 15 seer gas package unit with 10 years parts and labor warranty, factory curb, new gas piping from the roof to unit, condensate drain etc. unit is far less than most with a difference of $1.5k to $2K according to [member] herself. Especially with such quality of work, she did not complaint about it at all, "it's a great job" she has claimed. Each time we were called, we were there. From the minute the request via email came from her, it was the same minute that we've called and went to her house within two hours. Every question she had was answered, She has advice me that she was going to do her homework (which I like to hear), wait for other quotes to come, search us and everyone else thoroughly online, Reviews, better business berau, contractors board etc. She has than decided to go with us for such a good reputation and never the less prices that we have given her. which it really put a smile on my face to see how well we did for being chosen from a smart shopper. I've gone personally to her house before, during and after job completion. In our first meeting or visit, I have checked the unit from the roof, and gave her a quote for it, as a gift or inclusion as I was leaving the premises I offered her to clean her air ducts, I wasn't allowed in the house at that moment to check ducts. When one of our employees showed to the property to get started with there work, He didn't mention the homeowner that ducts should of been replaced instead of clean from the get go. Reason for one of the ducts (bathroom) inner wire pieces 3 or 4 " were stripped and came apart. He Grabbed the wires and through them in the trash, without advising homeowner of what had just occurred, This is where he made his big mistake. She had call me directly and advice me of this, I rushed over to her house to see what had happen, where she now claim that her bedroom wasn't getting any air. I said " [member] , I will change out the two ducts (bathroom and bedroom, which bedroom did not had a wire stripped, and she had complaint about that room before we have done any work to her house before) free at no cost to you, but I will not be responsible for something that we have not committed," Wear and tear of such an old duct system is not our fault. I suggested: ducts are very old, and they should be replaced when she had a chance. She accused us of causing this problem for her, when I knew that this ducts are just old, I did not wanted to be taken advantage of for a problem was here years before we showed up. I have noticed that she was very displeased so I said to her, "normally a charge to replace the entire house ducting is about $2,000.00, that is spending many hours in the insulated attic, removing all the old ducts , installing every single piece of duct, sealed, taped and plastic strapped, but since we have already done business together and we would like for you to be happy, "we will only charge $800.00" I said, After getting in the attic to replace the two ducts that we were changing for free, I have notice that the farthest room with two ducts were installed when the addition to the main house was made or when they changed the previous ac unit, they looked strong still and it didn't need replacement. Than I realize that after the two ducts that we were already replacing and that two that were going to the room that didn't need replace, there was only another 4-5 runs to do, and since we were inside the attic working already, I told her: she could get away by not replacing the two installed in the far room since they looked good and that we will only charge her $375.00 to do the remaining 4 -5 runs as split for the cost of doing the work, she said she would do it for $350, I said ok. The same person that did the air duct clean , replaced the ducts. she was not satisfied with the work performed due a collar coming loose, probably because of not being tied correctly, (he did not tape the new ductwork over the old as [member] claims, simply because there was no more "old" ductwork), so I personally went back with my lead installer, jumped in the attic and re-taped , re-strapped and duct seal "every piece" of connection in the new duct system and existing two duct runs not replaced. I picked each and every piece of tape, broken plastic that I have found in the attic after our job was completed and dumped it in the back of my truck. After that day I couldn't breath well for two days due to the attic insulation. and yes we had to lay-in the insulation to get the deepest pieces of ducting, to assure her that we have gotten through every spot imaginable, in no mean I meant to make that comment to blame her or insult her. Once I came down from the attic I was very exhausted and full of insulation, the water she gave us came from heaven, She claims that I have never had her inspect the work, My impression was that her nephew (who claimed he has done this type of work) which was present right before we redid the ductwork was the one that got up to inspect it through the small attic hole inside a closet two and half foot tall attic, In my wildest dreams I would ask her to get up in the attic and check our work, she might of taken it offensively, I expected her nephew to do so, and I hope he did to see that the ductwork had nothing to envy the Air conditioning replacement work that we did at her house. One of [member] 's main complaint on how she got "lured" into something that she didn't ask for, and how she had to pay for it, Our intentions is definitely not those, instead is to provide the best for your buck, customer satisfaction so the word can get out and we could continue on growing as we have had in the past nine years. She has gotten a main house "full duct system" for the price $350.00, I think she has gotten a great deal for a full duct system and instead the ones "lured" were us. (This is a common practice on our field for certain companies to include air duct cleaning on a unit replacement job, not a "scam"). 15 seer 4 ton package unit professionally installed (which she knows it was done amazingly), with a main house brand new air duct system for a total of $5,050.00...... not bad. There it is our side of the story, my employee did mess up, but I did not hesitate to put on my tool belt get out of my office and respond by fixing the problem personally, there wasn't much more I could do in this type of situation, fixing the mistake made, apologizing and offering something to make the customer happy at the same time protecting our business reputation the possibility of being taken advantage of. It was a must for me to write such a detailed and long response, for consumers to see how this ordeal took place, since I was truly sadden to read the way the complaint has been placed, expressing malicious things about my character and threats on how she will proceed in destroying our reputation . When I have started this business venture, I have acknowledge that It would be impossible to please absolutely everyone. And I also believe that there isn't any bad that comes for a good reason, Because of this and other types criticism is what makes my company stronger. Thanks to [member] , we have begun putting a comprehensive plan in place to provide better and more timely information to our customers, more tools and resources for our crew members and improved procedures for handling operational difficulties in the future. We are confident, as a result of these actions, that Buenos Aires will emerge as a more reliable and even more customer responsive company than ever before. I found them on Angie's List plus I liked that they were on BBB, with a good record. I called on a Friday and they were at my house around 10:00 a.m, Monday. A very nice person. Was neat about what he did and would explain things to me.
Description of Work: I had a Residential Preventative Maintenance inspection. The fee above included something that was added, Otherwise, for $125.00 they will come out twice a year. Once to check the Air Conditioner prior to summer and the Heating system prior to winter. I was happy with their service so far. They were very receptive and helpful when I called to ask further questions about some of the parts on the air conditioner. I will continue to use them.

Buenos Aires Air Conditioning & Heating Incorporated responded to our call to assist us promptly. Within an hour upon arrival they evaluated our air conditioning and heating system and resolved the problem. Although the work was under warranty they were friendly and very attentive to answer any questions that we had. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a hardworking and honest outfit.

This is a rental property of mine and the tenant moved out. I went to make repairs and noticed the heater wasn't working. I called my home warranty company and they sent another company. That company told me I needed a $1000.00 worth of work that was not covered by the home warranty. I called my home warranty for a second opinion. They sent out Buenos Aires. The Tech was top notch. He looked at my heater and after a couple of minutes told me that it was wire unhooked. He hooked up the wire and that was it. He could have told me that is was the same as the other company and easily collected a $1000.00. But no, he was honest and collected nothing from me. I highly recommend this company and I will tell everyone this story. I have chosen not to write a bad report on the other company because I have talked with the supervisor and I believe it was an isolated incident.
Description of Work: They were a second opinion after another Heating AC company wanted to charge me a 1000.00 dollars. He hooked up a wire that was unhooked and charged only the service call fee.
