Team from Brookside always on time and did exactly what they were supposed to do. They had a big job to do as the entire yard needed a refurbish. I'm in love with my new yard thanks to Brookside Landscaping. Highly recommend this company. Every time I've needed their services, I've been extremely satisfied with the job they have done.

The lighting is fantastic! Keith had great suggestions on type and placement of lights and guided me through what to consider. Very happy with the result. It's fun to play with the color of the individual lights for different effects throughout the year. Brookside did a great job, highly recommend.

BEWARE - the crew has changed since all these 5 star reviews had been posted. The guys they previously had working for years aren’t there anymore, and they have admittedly been hiring random people with little experience to continue doing the jobs. Pavers were laid crooked and poorly leveled. I asked Dillon to get them fixed and he threw a fit when asked to re-do them. I had to talk to Keith (his dad and company owner), and he then apparently “yelled” at Dillon to re-do the work. Dillon refused (I guess?) so Keith ended up showing up to fix it himself the next day and admitted his son’s work was terrible. One of the “newer” guys was responsible for leveling the area near the pool for proper drainage and did a poor job that needed to be redone, yet again. It was sloping so that if there was any rainwater, it would ALL DRAIN INTO THE POOL! The artificial turf is not quality turf as I was promised. I picked the thickest/most expensive one (Pro 84 108 oz) and it's now mostly flat, peeling and not adhering in some spots. They also used several smaller cuts in a few areas to cut their costs, resulting in quite visible lines. The grass smells like dog pee now even though my dogs only use it occasionally as they go for walks and to a dog park daily. For comparison - my neighbor had artificial grass installed by *unlicensed contractors* 2 months before me and his grass still has zero smell and his 3 large dogs urinate EXCLUSIVELY in the backyard as they’re not often walked. I had asked Dillon about any potential smell and he said everything would be good. It’s most definitely not. When Keith first came out to give me an estimate, he was very polite, listened and allegedly wrote down everything I wanted to get done. I went over things with him a few times to make sure. Then, when the official quote arrived, I noticed a couple important omissions and asked him to add them. He assured me via phone and text that those things were included (a raised planter in the backyard being one of them) and that I didn’t need to worry about the quote. I even did a sketch of what I wanted it to look like on my iPad and showed him, and he said he understood. Well, on the last day of work, I asked Dillon when they were getting started on the planter and he said “oh we’re not doing that”. I reminded him about the work and showed a sketch on my iPad showing the work that needed to be done and he said “go talk to Keith, I’m not doing it” and left for the day. Keith wasn’t as responsive anymore. He and Dillon were clearly having a lot of issues, as Dillon complained that he “got yelled at again by my dad”. Anyway, long story short, I ended up having to PAY $600 EXTRA just for the 2-level unfinished planter (without the top layer that was like another $200-300 or so). They planted the plants with roots clearly visible, sticking out from the top, and when I had Keith come by he said “oh that’s weird - just buy some mulch and put on top of them to cover up the roots”. WHAT? They also stole my 7-8 years old big golden barrel cactus (retailing anywhere between $300-500), despite my VERY CLEAR ask to carefully replant it. Dillon stated that they trashed it and cut it in half (why?) so it wasn’t “replantable”. I had to insist on the same cactus multiple times. He then got me the cheap one from Star Nursery that is a fraction of the size and isn’t blooming like the old one was. It also took 5 follow ups in writing as well as numerous asks in person, which Dillon kept ignoring until the very last day when I lost my patience with them. The pavers still look like a 3-year old put them together. In the front yard, they crushed several plants (purchased separately by me) by stepping and throwing river rock on top of them, and I had to GO BUY THEM AGAIN at my own cost to replant. No apologies, just attitude from Keith’s team since I started asking them to fix things they did wrong. The river rock is a thin layer that’s not even leveled with the concrete driveway. I asked Keith to fix it back in August. He said they were busy with other things and he’d be back to fix in a month. I reminded him twice, and he is ignoring my messages now that the full balance is paid in full. When raining, the backyard FLOODS big time because it wasn’t properly leveled. The other planter we had on the side of the house had all the top soil layer washed off as well, creating a complete nightmare of a mess to clean up after. The kid and pet friendly “Pro 84 108 oz synthetic lawn” is already falling apart. There is a bald patch already in a high traffic area. Oh and finally, the whole project was supposed to take a week. It took over a month as they were juggling other jobs in between, without telling me. Dillon would come by in the morning, drop off the guys, and take off. Meanwhile, half the time, they’d just sit there and screw around in the backyard for hours until he was back. When it began happening almost every other day, I started coming out asking them what they were working on, and they said they had to wait till Dillon was back. He was back closer to like 1-2pm and they were gone by 2-3pm every single day anyway. In conclusion, they’re not as good as they apparently used to be. I had gone off of these 5 star reviews and ended up paying more than the other 2 quotes I got for quite low quality work and materials that even unlicensed contractors could have done better (my neighbor is a great example).

The Brookside Team worked on our front and back yard landscaping and did an amazing job. They installed artificial turf, plants, LED lighting and redid our irrigation. They even paid attention to the little details like thorough clean-up during the job and at the end. We are very happy with the end result. Five Stars.

They did a great job with a small crew. The yard looks great. The only thing they could have done better is in communication.

We got quotes from four different companies and we're so glad we went with Brookside. We showed them photos of what we wanted our backyard to look like and they delivered. Dillon and his team did an amazing job! I highly recommend them.

I Called Keith and he got right back to me. He gave me a quote right away and did the work very promptly. He wrapped my palm trees with lights and fixed 5 major sprinkler leaks. I definitely recommend Brookside to anyone needing work done. Keith is honest and does what he says he will do. Thanks!!

Keith was awesome to work with. He was very professional, responsive and handled all of the dealings with the water authority to get my plans approved and inspected. I always thought good quality artificial grass was expensive but Keith worked with me and gave me a fair price. He worked hard to make sure it was done right. On top of being a top notch professional, he is really a hard working nice guy.
