The work was performed on schedule and the results were superb. We talked several times during the process and Sid was very flexible in meeting my requirements. I compared prices with 3 other services including a mail-in service and the price I paid was less than other local services and on-par with the mail-in service. However, with the mail-in service, I would not have been able to make changes during the process to get exactly what I wanted.

We are seniors that do not understand computers. Syd was wonderful,he fixed problem with printer then helped us with many,many things. He helped us to understand so many things on our Apple computer that we could do. I had to get a couple of visas for travel to India and China that I spent 2 days trying to understand what I needed to do. I called up Syd and he came over started from scratch, He filled in everything. I am so happy with him. He is so knowledgeable on computers.

The initial visit went well. When my tower was fixed he called to set up a time to return it . He also set up that computer and printer, I did have a problem with the printer, so I called Syd back and he was able to help me by phone.

Mr. Rubin is a very professional and knowledgeable computer expert. He answered my myriad of questions very clearly, even typing out instructions for those processes that I was concerned I would forget. He cleaned out many, many files that had accumulated over several years and which I clearly no longer needed. He added programs that he thought I would find useful and that I would need to ensure the security of my system. Today my computer is running so much faster and that certainly takes all the frustration I was experiencing away. I highly recommend Big Shot and will definitely use Mr. Rubin again.

Syd was great--very kind and professional. I had a corrupted file on my computer and was unable to use my computer or connect to the internet. He came over and diagnosed the problems and took my computer with him to repair it. It took a week, which is what he told me it would be, and the price quoted was what he charged me. When he brought back my computer, it was totally fixed. Syd hooked up my computer and made sure everything was up and running and that I was connected to the Internet. I would definitely call him again if I need my computer fixed, and I highly recommend him for any computer problems you may have.

I called Syd and we discussed some issues I was having with my wireless setup. We agreed it was time for a new router. We both had the same idea of the type of router then he called me the next day to tell me he had further researched it and was recommending an upgraded version. He showed up with the router in hand and installed it, made sure all my devices in the house were getting a strong signal, installed a program (with my permission) that would allow him to remote into my computer to troubleshoot in the future if needed and concluded our business in a very reasonable time. Syd is very professional and willing to share his knowledge while being considerate of the client and what they may wish to spend. During his visit we discussed several other issues and I felt very comfortable when he explained the various options to me. Syd explains computer issues in a way that is appropriate for the client's experience and comfort. As far as I am concerned, I have found my go-to person for all computer issues going forward and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Syd is one terrific dude!! He responded electronically by the end of the day that I purchased the service, and followed it up with a phone call the next day. I had incorrectly entered one of the available dates for service, and he accommodated my schedule, no questions asked. Syd arrived at our home on time and went right to work on the laptop. Along with fixing the software problem, Syd cleaned up some stuff and installed a couple of programs to insure the computer will keep running smoothly. Even though he was here almost 2 hours, Syd only charged us a little bit more than the "contract" price. We are SO grateful to Syd. There are many irreplaceable documents on this laptop that we can now access. Like many (if not most) people, we had neglected to back up those documents. We highly recommend Syd's services.

Unfortunately i picked up an ugly ransomeware virus which completely disabled my computer and made it totally useless. Syd helped me remove the nasty virus and enabled me to use the computer again. We then reviewed my security software and decided I needed better protection. Syd helped me get better security software and my computer is again working much better now! He is very reasonable and easy to work with. He comes by very quickly and is quite prompt. I would recommend him to anybody that has a computer problem.

Syd was prompt in responding and scheduling service. In addition to identifying my problem, he answered many questions I had since I am not the most computer savvy of customers. the fact that he came to home for service was another feature that I appreciated. My computer had crashed the day before I called. I had no idea what the problem was. When Syd arrived and took a look at all my components he deduced that my modem had "died". He then spoke by phone to my cable provider, basically telling their tech that he had determined the problem was the modem, and after some technical stuff they did from the provider, their tech agreed that it was indeed the modem. Mr. Syd left with the plan being I would go to the Cox store on Monday morning and get a new modem, bring it home and connect it, then call Syd to let him know if I was up and running. He had left me with explicit instructions on how to connect the modem, and even drew me a diagram to make it easier for me. I picked up the modem the next morning and was able to get it installed thanks to Mr. Syd's directions. I then telephoned him to assure him that I was back in business. He was again ready to come right over if I was having any problems. He assured me that he would be available to me anytime I needed help, and that he could even access my computer remotely from his place of business! This was a huge relief to computer-illiterate me! I would use BigShot again and again and will definitely recommend them to anyone I know needing computer assistance.

I wanted him to teach me how to download photos, but he went off in left field. He explained many things that did not matter to me. It was a waste of my time and money.

Syd did everything I asked him to do and more! We needed to wait for three hours while my computer was turning off items which were indexed. This caused my mother's laptop to slow down to a crawl. When I expressed my concern about waiting for the extra time yesterday, Syd offered to come back today to finish the job. He called first to confirm the time and arrived on time. Syd uninstalled MacAfee today and installed Kaspersky. Syd did an amazing job. I would not hesitate to call him again if we should experience any more problems with my mother's computer. Initially it was a bit hard to pinpoint what was going on but with the tenacity of a pitbul, Syd tried every trick in his hat and got my computer to perform properly and installed a few malware programs on top of fixing and cleaning my system.Thanks Syd

Syd was great! We basically had two laptops that were unusable. Syd got the first one fixed when he came over to our house but he had to take the second one home to try to do a system recovery which was going to take a while. As he suspected, the laptop had a faulty hard drive which he had to replace and he re-installed Windows 8 (upgraded to Windows 8.1) plus a variety of other programs and software which made it easier for my daughter to use. The laptop works a 100 % better than when we first bought it and we are so glad we found Syd Rabin on Angie's List. He charges $75/hour but I am very sure that he spent a lot more time than the 2 hours he billed me for. With trying to repair the hard drive, he had to talk to the manufacturer several times and he was the one who ordered the parts necessary to get the computer up and running, and he kept me informed about his progress while he had the laptop. We would definitely use Syd's services again!
