B&M Well Drillers Inc

An employee of B&M Well Drillers, came to look at a pump at our property on April 25,2009. He put a amp meter on the control box and found that there was electricity and told us that we would need a new pump and possibly pipe. This took about 30 minutes. He said had a job that he was working on and could come back on or around May 12. He said he would call us before the job. He didn't, we called him and he said that he wouldn't be able to do the job because of the big job he was working on, he could come out in approx. four days. Again we had to call him and he returned our call and delayed the job again. This happened two more times, claiming his equipment had been vandalized. The final time on May 21 we told him that we needed the job done and would have to go with someone else. We offered to have him take out his expenses from the deposit. As a representative of that company, he told us that since he hadn't done any work, he would refund the full amount. The refund didn't come. After several attempts to get it from him, we called the president of the company, she said that she would refund the deposit. No amount was discussed. That refund never came, several attempts to talk to her again failed. We finally got a partial refund of $462.00 after we left a message that we were going to turn her company into the BBB. In her invoice, she charged us $200.00 for pump labor, $120.00 travel expenses, and a $218.00 restocking fee. Overall this was an exhausting experience. We had to pay $45.00 a week for water to be delivered while we waited and didn't get the refund until June 27.
