They were very good. I would recommend them. Everything they did was very well done and very well handled.

They took out all my oak railings and exchanged it for metal spindles with wooden tops. Where they connected the banister it is coming undone. The carpenter that came and did the job the first time did a lousy job, even the company yelled at him. He told my wife this was not his first rodeo and not to tell him what to do.They didn't clean their welding splatter. The upstairs railing was never steadied. I finally had to step in an show them how to secure it to the floor. The banister upstairs is coming apart. They had to clean my entire house after the job was done, shampoo all the rugs and clean the airducts. All walls had film on them and they had to be cleaned.They sprayed laquer and there were fumes, I couldn't even stay in my home because of the smell. I had to stay at a hotel for 2 nights. They estimated 5 weeks, the job took 3 months.This job was a nightmare. The owner of the company was here 5 times.

The quoting process was fine. However when the HOA denied our request, it took them over 2 weeks to process the refund. When called to find out if the refund was processed, they acted like they were doing me a favor to refund my money.

Work was done in a timely fashion and done well, however, some finishing touches were not done. I had to repair house wall where they had missed attaching to a stud. Additionally, I had to visit offices to pick up plugs for open ends of one of the gates. Neither was a major event, but prevented me from giving them an overall "A". They did rate a "B" and I would use them again, I would just take more time to look over the job before the workers left the site.

They did not paint the gate and when they did after much hassle it was the wrong color and they had to do it over. They adjusted the hinges but the gate drug on the concrete when it opened. The latch would not catch as it swung thru without a stop plate. I would not accept the work and I would not pay the last 50% until they corrected the poor workmanship. I contacted the manager and he said it was completed in an economical manner and I was required to pay, I ask him to personally come and look at the workmanship and tell me if he would accept this work if it was his home. He would not come to look at it and threatened to sue me if I did not pay. We had not signed an agreement nor was there any paper work for the project. I had a verbal agreement with the salesman for $350.00. In order to settle the mess I paid the last 50% plus another $100. The gate now works properly and is the right color. What a hassle and I feel they were very unprofessional. I will not ever use them again for any project!

Well, I didn't end up going with them, but if my budget permitted it, I would. So friendly, honest and even went so far as to Google my new house for me to see what I would need for my fence! I've heard nothing but great things about them... and although they are not say, Home Depot prices, they are for a much higher standard of work, and aptly priced for that reason.

I love my new fencing. My dogs are now securely in the back yard. Since they are little crew made sure that the fencing was low enough so they could not escape. My courtyard is amazing. It is like having another room to the house. The ironwork is truly a work of art and will be enjoyed for years to come. I highly recommend Artistic Ironwork to anyone who wants to add value and beauty to their home.

it went great. I was little surprised when they rang the doorbell this morning but was happy to see them as I was planning to call this morning anyhow.

We were very happy with the services provided by this company. They arrived for the initial appointment with an ipad with all of our options. Once chosen it took about 6 - 8 weeks for the doors to arrive. The front door was fairly easy for them to put in but takes a lot of time due to the detail they put in to the job. They even painted the areas around the door where the old door had torn paint off during removal. I was most impressed with the outer gate that is directly in front of the front door. The wall area where the gate was to be installed was not even. So, they had their work cut out for them. They did an excellent job and I would definitely use them again. We have had so many compliments from the neighbors on our front door. And, I feel much safer with this door than the standard one we had before.

It was about a month after the initial contract that the job was done. I had to call to inquire about the status. After the inquiry the installation was scheduled and it proceeded quickly. The job was well done. The installation was accomplished in about six hours. I wish we had done comparison pricing before signing the contract. I think we could have gotten a better price. I was totally pleased with the quality of the work done.

The job was done very well. They were late to our house by about 45 minutes, but the fence/gate was very nice and they matched the color of our house perfectly. I would recommend them to any one looking for this kind of work.

I called their office to set up an appointment for an estimate for security doors. The salesman came out a few days later and showed us several designs. His provided four or five quotes based on different designs we selected. Although the quotes came in under what we thought they would, we told him we needed a few days to think it over. There was no pressure to get the deal done that day. I'm so glad we didn't sign on the spot. While the salesman provided plenty of designs to choose from, we couldn't get a good feel for what we were actually getting. The pictures he showed were on his iPad and are the same as you can view on their website. So my wife and I made another appointment with the salesman at the showroom. This was the best move we made. We found a design in their showroom that we didn't see in the pictures and had it customized even more to our liking. I can't emphasize this enough -- go to the showroom before making your final selection! I was told that it would be 3-4 weeks from signing the contract to installation date. They met their end of the deal. David was very flexible when it came time to schedule the installation. The installers are very professional, friendly, and courteous. I'm very picky and appreciate their attention to detail. They addressed every concern I had and said "we won't leave until you're happy." When they were done, I was completely happy. My entire experience was extremely positive. If I ever need more of this type of work done again, Artistic Iron Works will get my business!

Spoke with this provider about a simple gate latch repair. Without even visiting the house to understand the specifics of the job the vendor quoted $250.00 as a base estimate. Vendor said that they were at least two weeks out in scheduling appointments and asked for a credit card for prepayment of work quoted. Vendor provided no specifics as to when they would actually perform the work and when we objected to prepayment and expressed our preference for payment after services are performed vendor rudely hung up on us. Zero points for professionalism, zero points for courtesy, zero points overall. We do not reward rude behavior with employment therefore this vendor receives our lowest marks which is quite surprising given this vendor's prior ratings. Update: Based on the vendor's response to my review I thought that the fair thing to do was to give the vendor another chance. I contacted the vendor and reached someone in the office. I asked for David and was informed that he was out of the office. I explained my situation and told the woman who answered the phone that I wanted to speak with David about correcting the review I left on Angie's List if the service we received during our initial call was an anomaly that wasn't SOP. She told me she'd give David my message and I would receive a return call. I never heard from them again. I was concerned that we might have caught this business on a bad day in my original review and I wanted to give this business every opportunity to correct any inaccuracies in the conclusions that were drawn from our initial contact. While David's offer for free work is extremely generous, we aren't looking for free work and are quite willing to pay a fair price for any work performed. That offer to correct the original bad review remains open but we refuse to continue to chase this vendor to ensure that it happens. Regarding our initial contact and David's statement in his response that he didn't know who we spoke with when we called; that person's name is Larry.

When I called originally to get information from Artistic Iron Works, the lady I spoke with was very helpful. The set was picked up by Iron Works the next day and the work completed and the set returned looking like a new, within one week. When it was returned (by the owner) he explained that all legs had been welded to make the set more stable. We could not have asked for nicer people to do business with, nor better quality work in a such a short period of time.

Very well considering that we only got an estimate.

It was very good. They provide an excellent product. The guys that came out and did the installation where very good as well. They also have a wonderful and large show room.

The process of obtaining the estimates is where my experience with the company has ended. One thing that was a bit unpleasant to deal with was the way the guy was acting while at my house giving me the estimates. Apparently their web site was down at the moment and therefore I was not able to get a quote on the specific window bars I was interested in. In addition to that annoyance, with which the estimator was dealing the whole day, there was another annoyance - me asking for different options as far as the amount of windows I'd like to put the bars on. I've got (basically) the prices for most of the desired options during that visit. A few days later I've had a phone conversation with the estimator about the prices for couple additional options. That, apparently, was the last drop in the cup and the whole thing just spilled over. After telling me that I am making his day very difficult, he said he'll call me back. Two weeks passed and there is no call. I really don't feel like making his day worse every time he has to talk to me. SO I've decided to find another company, which I did. They were very prompt on giving me the quotes AND the options (all of them) I was interested in. I am sorry that my deciding on how much money I can afford to spend was giving a worker a headache. Good luck with everything.

It was a positive experience from start to finish.

They did the proposal, fabricated the window and door solar security screens, delivered and installed them. They look great and we feel safe. One of the doors wouldn't latch anymore after a few months of settling in but with a simple phone call they had someone out immediately to adjust it and it's all perfect again now so they backed up their work nicely.

Excellent. Easy initial consultation to design/sketch table. Quick turn around from when decision was made to when they phoned to say the table was complete. And now, when friends enter the house and knew I was having the table made, they all rave about how beautiful it came out (including one last night)!

A rep from Artistic Iron Works came to our residence to give us an estimate. He was on time and polite. He measured the opening in the wall and produced a sketch of the gate based on our selection from their website. He said that it would be about 7-10 days before the installation because they had to make and paint the gate. After about three weeks, I called and left a message wondering about the status of the gate. No one had called to update us even though it was well after the time they had said it would be. Someone from Artistic called me back and left a message saying something about that they were having trouble with figuring out what paint color we had selected. The color was clearly marked on the cost worksheet and I'm not sure why they couldn't ask the man that came out and gave us an estimate. I returned the call a few days later (message was on my work phone and I didn't get it until then) and was told that the gate would be installed the next morning and that we would be first in line. Nothing happened in the morning and after calling Artistic, they said it would be in the afternoon. A crew came in the afternoon and installed the gate. The installation went well and the gate looks great, so the experience was mixed. Their communication could have been much better. We will probably use them again for other gates because the gate looks great and I think our experience may have been a fluke.

My 10 year old automatic gate opener that I inherited with purchase of my home began to malfunction, not closing all the way, was noisy, and sometimes would not work at all. The control box buttons stopped working. Being new to this city, I did not know who to call for replacement of the the gate operator. There were a few places listed in the Yellow Pages, but the only one that I tried for an estimate was a " Mom and Pop" place that did not seem up to the task. So, I tried Angie's List. Searched for driveway gate openers and of the two possibilities, Artistic Iron Works had the best rating. I called the office and set up an appointment for an estimate. Chris and crew arrived on time, looked at my old device, discussed in detail what I would need and made safety suggestions in terms of the "photo eye." I had checked on the internet as to the prices of residential gate openers so that I would have an idea of what the opener cost and labor would be. The estimate was reasonable so I scheduled installation. Chris stated that they would order the parts and get back to me. A few days later, Chris called and set up the installation date. They arrived on time, removed the old unit and chain and control box and installed the new system. They were efficient and fast, and consulted me as to how I wanted the computer controls to work. They helped me establish the code for opening the gate and adjusted the delay time for automatic closing. They went over the operation of the system in great detail and disposed of the old unit and parts. They gave me the owner's manual and spec sheets, and advised me to call it there was any problem. They thoroughly cleaned up the work area, so that I did not have to do any additional sweeping or removal of old parts after they left. Throughout this transaction the team was courteous and pleasant. They left me with the feeling that they took pride in their workmanship.
