ART'S FLOORING

Absolutely amazing. Those two words summarize everything about our experience with Robert and his crew. We installed a floating floor in our house by ourselves, which took us 6 straight days of at least 13 hours a day. Therefore we were so frustrated with the project, that when it came time for the stairs, we were done. So I searched around and found Robert who came over that day and gave us an estimate and a time he could come over and do it. We agreed and his worker came over and had our stairs done in 6 hours and they look beautiful! Nothing like a pro to make me really feel like an amateur haha Then we still needed our base boards installed so I called him again. When he came over to look at them, he noticed that some of the boards we installed had started separating from each other. So he spent about 45 minutes tightening everything back up. We spent an hour on one board the previous weekend and it had made no difference. I highly recommend him and his crew. They do excellent work, while also working quickly and being incredibly courteous. I cannot say enough great things about him!

This was our second time dealing with Art's Flooring and they continue to provide excellent service and professional results. We had them out to give us the estimate and they suggested matching the existing tile in the water closet (instead of doing a transition from one tile to the other); as well as drawing up a layout that included an inlayed pattern to lend character to the room. The workmen arrived promptly and completed the job in the estimated time. They did thorough cleanup of the area and then came back and sealed their work.

The staff arrived on time to perform our estimate and we received the estimate the next day. They were able to start within a few days and the work quality was excellent. We would use this contractor again.

Estimator (Robert) arrived on time and was very through in determining my preferences, budget, etc. and took exacting measurements. He then came back a day or two later (on time) with a quote and product samples. His quote compared favorably with the other three companies I explored and his sample was much to my liking. He and Arthur arrived a few days later (again on time) to begin the work. They were extremely well prepared - portable table saws and all types of professional tools. Just as important they arrived with their own power vaccuum, brooms, dust pans, and floor cleaning products and tools- even disposal bags! . The job is just being finished as I write this - it looks great and they even clean up! They have gone far beyond my expectations. In order to ensure a good look to the final project they even removed all baseboards, painted them, and reinstalled. I have two more rooms to do and I will most certainly use this company again. highly recommended!

We were told that the installation would start between 8 and 10:30, and were happily suprised when at 8:30 on the dot, Robert arrived to start the project of removing the carpet from our large living space. He was cleanly dressed, polite, went immediately to work, and didn't stop until he had to call his supervisor and let him know our gate code. He didn't interrupt our regular work day in any way, as I work from home. In fact, his work was done so well, I didn't even hear most of it, even as he toiled only 15 feet from me. His first task was to verify the wood we had selected was indeed what was ordered, and he ensured that we were pleased with the delivered slats. I've never been asked for this before a project was done in our home and was duly impressed as his desire to ensure our utter happiness with his decisions. When Artur, the supervisor arrived, an even better thing happened. My husband, who is easily unimpressed by anyone, gave him his requests, explained our needs, and Artur had an immediate rapport with him. In fact, the two men, Artur and Robert, gave us the impression that both had been very well educated outside of their carpentry work, and their intelligence was as welcomed as their work ethic. When each of the men took any breaks it was always within respect to our work area and personal space. We even offered them lunch, worrying they hadn't taken enough time off from the installation, and we were surprised that they kept their time away from the task at hand so short- they wanted a job well done, just as much as we did. In this town, for the decade we have been here, no one has done the jobs we requested so perfectly as these two men. They always asked us our impressions, requests, and needs prior to taking on any task. There was no trash left around the house as they worked- in fact, they're fastidious. Also, we've never met any workers who spent as much time ensuring the job was not only done to our satisfaction, but to the degree that workmanship was perfect. From the first removal of the carpet tacks to the final buffing of the wood finish, all was done with skill and precision. The perfection was that of two masters who wanted to not make a floor, but to create an impressive showspace of the warmth of our home. Each millimeter of the wood was cut and placed as dilligent as the mosaics of the grandest castle in Europe. They blended our hallways and other rooms so well that no one could tell that the flooring wasn't an original part of the construction of the house. To me, the layout appears to be artistic, mathematically sound, and so well layed in that it feels as though I am walking on an elaborate puzzle, rather than just slats of sawed wood. In fact, Artur, the owner and president of the company, was so involved in ensuring all of his work was of the highest quality that he didn't just glue the slats into place and leave- he took special care for spacial placement. They stayed not just until it was done enough- he and Robert worked for 14 hours straight meticulously measuring. And, we were even more impressed by the added extras he did. Our baseboards that originally came with the space- in a home of nearly 4 years- were completely updated with the proper installation as well, correcting errors made by the home builders. The lines from the wood of this room to the slate tiles of the next are seamless, and smooth. The carpeted hallway that leads to the area shows no sign of ragged separation that I've seen in so many other houses. This pair of men are proud of their work, and didn't leave until they could be. We already are trying to find any other reason to hire these to gentlemen again. Owning a home is our dream and having the home be the best it can be is sometimes an expensive luxury. The next time we plan to install or replace any marble, flooring, tiling, or granite, there is no question these will be the men we call. We admire their craftsmanship, professionalism, and willingness to ensure customer happiness. This is so rare, and welcomed, we can't praise them enough.
