First they showed up 40 minutes early. Normally that would be a good thing, but I specifically took off work to ensure I was home by 12:00 (so I had to take two hours of personal time), which was the start of the estimate window. I called the estimator and he related he could not do the work because the roof needed a deck system and not a roof. He related that constant walking on the roof would degrade it. Well buddy I only walk on the roof twice a year. That is to put up and take down Christmas decorations. Estimator stated he did look at the roof. Great, but you didn't want to take the time to come back and talk to me. However, if he had taken the time to come back to the house and listen to my specific requirement, then he would have known what I wanted. Now, if the next homeowner wants a deck, then they can build it. I also planned on having the trellis removed with the roofing work. I get tired of contractors telling me what I need when they don't even take time to talk with the customer. I already have one quote from an Angie's list company who are more than happy to do the work with a five year guarantee in writing. Every other house (like mine) in the neighborhood has a roof....not a deck system. First: show up when you are supposed to and try to understand that your customers have jobs as well. Second: don't assume you know what the customer wants. If you do, then you better have references to point them in the right direction. I invite you to call me back and have an estimator come back out to show me you care about taking care of your customers.

Josh arrived on time and replaced tiles quickly

They never even bothered to respond....DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!!

The owner of Ariat Roofing and his son came out a couple days after we called and provided us a detailed estimate for either a repair of the leaking area of our roof or a complete replacement of the felt and broken tiles. The repair estimate came with a 2 year guarantee and the replacement with a 10 year guarantee. They also said they would come out and remove tiles as needed when the house needed exterior painting. We went with the complete replacement since our roof was almost 30 years old and the old felt was brittle and we were having leaks. The estimate was for a 3 to 3.5 day job. The crew showed up when scheduled and worked through the day. They cleaned up the area each day and even looked for any nails that fell off the roof as they removed the tiles. They finished in about 3.5 days. All the metal flashings and edging on the roof was replaced. The felt is double thick and it is overlapping. The replacement flashing, edging, and the felt were all heavier duty or quality than the original. Overall, I was very pleased with the workmanship and in fact the roof looks much better than the original. Also, the tiles are much better secured to the roof than before this work was done.

Needed bare areas replaced . Great job

In January, they came out and replaced shingle, but did not have the connector to fix the drip line. Did not pay them since the job was not completed, tried until May to get them to finish. They finally adjusted the invoice and we paid them in May. When we had winds the same shingles came off, they fixed it, then they came off again and we had to fix them ourselves.

They came out and looked at the job on Sept. 27. It is Oct. 4 and they still haven't provided the estimate. I called them twice but they still haven't got an estimate. I will NEVER hire this company!

They were not licensed to work on a modular home.

Estimator came right out. Crew arrived just a few days later, as scheduled. No mess left behind. Reasonable price for a small job means they'll be the first call when roof needs replacing in a few years.

They showed up as promised and did a great job.

The work was on time and efficiently done. The price was quite reasonable. The workers were professional. We were impressed by the guys who did the estimate and explained what needed to be done. It was an excellent experience and we're happy with the job. I only took a point off on responsiveness because it's very hard to make contact. But there's a good reason for that difficulty -- these folks are crazy busy because they are very good and in high demand. If you hire them, you may have to wait a little while to get scheduled and to get other answers to your questions. Just be patient. They do get back to you and are worth the wait.

They completed the job, and they did more than the other one. They have a warranty, and they replaced several tiles that needed to be done. The operations manager, Jeff Miller, was incredible who helped us cut off on costs. He advised that we use an a/c flex connector to cut off on bills. They were just polite, they were clean, and they were efficient. I would like to give them an A+ if possible.

When they finally gave us a quote and did the work we were happy with the work. The job was done quick and efficiently once it got started. Our only issue was trying to get call backs and our estimate back in a timely manner. I ended up going back online to Angies list estimate for their sight to get someone to return our call.

Asked for a water test, was dissmive of it, never heard back

Great - couldn't ask for better service. They will be back in the fall to clean all the pine cones and debris from my neighbor's pine tree that ends up on my roof.

Found Ariat Roofing through Angie's List. Had some roof maintenance performed and they did a great job. Everyone I dealt with at the company, Jeff, Jay and Jenny, were very friendly, kind, and professional. I will definitely be calling Ariat again!

First, Jay Gray and an assistant came out to assess the roof. They found nearly a dozen damaged concrete tiles, and noted that the seals on the flashing were peeling and in need of refreshing. He sent a proposal for all the work the next day at $450. I signed the proposal, and waited to scheduled the work. A team of three technicians arrived on time in a clean truck and wearing identifying logos for the company. Before they began work I showed the foreman, Louis, a roof leak we had discovered. Then the team set to work. They replaced nearly a dozen cement roof tiles, they removed a dozen or so tiles to find the roof leak, repaired the leak and replaced the tiles. They refreshed all the flashing seals. Following the work, Louis showed me the broken tiles. He also showed me pictures of the area of the leak and the leak location. He also shared pictures of some of the broken tiles in situ. They were done in less than an hour.

It went great! We needed a new roof - they removed 2 old roofing layers and replaced with upgraded shingles. From the initial contact for an appraisal to the communication throughout the project to the professionalism of the crew and the tidiness of the work area all the way through the completion of the job - they were fantastic! Their price was more than fair and their work was impeccable! They worked with us and our insurance company and made the whole process easy and stress free! The job was completed quickly (less than 2 days!) and looks perfect. We highly recommend them and would use them again!

They have never called me cack. I guess they do not need by business.

Outstanding, Josh inspected the roof & replaced the tile that was found missing during a buyer's inspection. He was prompt & friendly. He took photos of the area missing the tile before & after fixing the area with a new tile. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I would definitely use them again.

Jay examined the damaged patio roof and explained in detail the type of labor and materials required to perform the repairs. Luis and his crew arrived at 6:45 am to promptly start work. They were highly skilled, efficient and courteous. Before they departed, they cleaned the entire premises. The patio roof is now in like-new condition. As a commercial property manager for 25 years, I can honestly say that I am impressed with the professionalism and business ethics of Jay and his company. I make the highest recommendation without reservation.

Heavy winds caused some tiles to come loose, which fell from my 2nd-story roof to my lower-level roof and broke more tiles there. I called Ariat Roofing, and they were super responsive, came out, took a look, and gave me an outstanding bid, which included doing an overall general roof maintenance. Typically I would get two to three bids, but when I received their outstanding bid, which comprehensively took care of my roof and some other minor things that I knew existed and needed fixed anyway, I went with them, and I am glad I did. The roof looks great. They are very friendly and professional, and I can tell that they genuinely care about the customer and getting the job done right. And if I ever need any other roof repairs in the future, then they will be getting my call.

The work was done for the quoted price on the scheduled day. All the folks I interacted with at Ariat were friendly, helpful, and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others, nor would I hesitate to use them again.

Will have a better analysis of the results of roof repair after it rains.

We can only hope the repairs were better then the work practices they used. What a mess, no tarps used so everything was dirty and covered in old roofing/broken tiles. Clean up was the worst, every night we had to pick up numerous nails the left all around. We had to do the clean up after they cleaned up. They said they would put down 2 layers of paper, but they didn't, telling us the overlap was the second layer. They cut our expensive hose but didn't tell us, then replaced it with a cheap hose that we threw away. They broke an outside light, they said they would fix but never did. We only hope when it rains, it doesn't leak. What a mess they left behind!
