It was an absolute NIGHTMARE!!! Once we cleaned the lint out of the guts of the dryer, the technician went back to doing I am not sure what. All of a sudden I started smelling smoke so I went in and the smoke was billowing out of the dryer. He had plugged it in and I don't know what else he did. He then started asking for water which he proceeded to throw inside the dryer as there were flames coming out of it. He FINALLY got the fire out and now my dryer is shot. The company boss came out about an hour later and said that it was due to the LINT!!! I am NOT stupid, there has to be a spark to ignite something. The company is now skirting around having to pay TOTAL costs to replace the dryer -- cost of dryer, tax, and installation. I did find a new dryer but I will NEVER EVER let this company do any work in my home. It's been TWO days now and I am still waiting for them to make this right.
Description of Work: They were sent by my home warranty to service my dryer that was squeaking. The technician could not get it to squeak, so he took the whole thing apart. There was a LOT of lint inside the guts of the dryer. See below for the rest of what happened.
