They were fast, professional, they knew what they were doing and gave me all the details of what they would do but I did not use them because they were a hard bidder.

That went very well. I would recommend them. They had the best price - and we interviewed three contractors. I had more of a connection with Five Star, they did a great job and we were very happy with it.

Paul came by to give an estimate and then set up the original start date, which was a Wednesday. He estimated two to three days to paint. He then called two days ahead to explain how his crew was out sick and asked if we were flexible with our schedule and could the crew come the following Monday. We were fine with that, because it gave us a little extra time to prepare for them. The crew of two women showed up along with the superintendent and Paul early on Monday morning. The two women went straight to work while the super (Michael) went to get the paint. The ladies nearly finished the first floor (great room/kitchen) in the first day, and by the end of the second day they were all done. Amazingly quick, professional, clean work! Michael came back the next morning (day #3) to do a final walk through and fix the 3 little things we found. All was good. I highly recommend this group, and have done so already.

It went well. I thought it was a good job. The painter painted all three rooms by lunch time. The price was excellent, so I overlooked some of the things I would have fussed over if it had cost more (such as clean up of paint splatters and). I would still recommend this company and will continue to use them.

Got a quote to paint a bedroom and a bathroom which was $800. Didn't end up using the services; thought it was a little steep on prices. However, they were very friendly and professional.

Did not go well! They arrived on time that is about the only positive thing I can say. They failed to mask windows leaving popcorn in window tracks, lost screws which held ceiling vents and window shade. They removed the popcorn but left it on the floor for 3 days whereby tracking paint all over the place. The water from the popcorn removal dripped on every door casing which was not wiped down when they left leaving a mess also. They did not paint the ceiling vents. When I brought this to their attention, they said they don't usually paint those unless requested. I had assumed they would be painted but they did not ask me if I wanted them painted. They also did not paint the doors-again with the same response-I did not request it. As a new customer, it would have been in their best interest to ask about ALL the items in the room which would require new paint. I had another contractor paint the living room and they painted the ceiling vents w/out asking for prior approval. You cannot put back a dirty ceiling vent on a newly painted celing-it shows right away. They tracked paint into my rock landscape in the front yard which should not have happend as there was plenty of room from the house to the driveway w/out crossing over the rocks. At one point, the main painter, Josue, asked to borrow my vacuum! No! He also came at 6am on Thursday which suprised me as it's still dark out! He brought no lighting and I had to provide some floor lamps so he could see. Mike came over to address my concerns. I appreciated that but it was too late. I did not want them back in my house as I was having new floors installed. They should have inspected the area before requesting a check to be sure their customer was satisfied. I would NEVER recommend this company much less use them again. They have a lot of fancy art work on their trucks and a folder full of credentials but are not professional. I did appreciate they listened to my concerns and were willing to come back and fix their mistakes but for all of their brochures and 5 Star talk, they are far from 5 Star. They did take $180.00 off my bill - big whoop! Lesson Learned

I couldn't of imagined how wonderful the experience of doing business with Five Star Painting turned out to be. Their professionalism is beyond expectation as well as the quality of the work. Im an obsessive person but I could not find one flaw with the work,which shocked me to say the least. It looked like Da Vince himself painted my house lol! Paul the project manager was extremely accommodating,Darryl and Larry the painters did everything they could to address my needs. I originally just wanted the walls and a couple of ceilings done but as the work progressed things looked so good I added all the doors with jambs and all the trim.I contacted Paul to add the additional work to the price quote and he said he would take care of me. When the guys were finished the cleaned up nicely and I was very happy! When it came time to settle the final bill,Paul did take very good care of me in regards to the extra work. I wont mention here in detail what it was because each job is different,but it was much more than equitable and another shocking surprise to me! To wrap it up,I would even think of hiring anyone else for future work.I cant imagine any other outfit being able to so completely satisfy and pleasantly surprise me! These guys are great!

It was an unmitigated disaster. They were hideous. They painted two suites and a large master bedroom. This was 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The appraiser was supposed to be here at 4:00 the day before the painting was supposed to start. He was 45 minutes late. They wanted to wear their dirty shoes on my white carpet. The appraiser was nice, he seemed okay. The workers that came after him was rude. They were not professional. They wanted us to remove heavy window treatments that were attached to the wall. The appraiser never said anything about us having to get up on ladders to remove these. We were under the impression that they would cover them with plastic. They took switchplates off the walls that were painted over so they could match the paint. They were supposed to start at 8:00 on a Friday morning. We needed them to be done by Saturday night, or Sunday afternoon. They said they should be able to do our work in two days. They still had not shown up by noon. They were 5 hours late. We called them and there were all kinds of excuses why they weren't here. The paint color was not good. There is still paint on the shower door and mirrors. They were supposed to paint baseboards and didn't. They were still here on Monday. All around it was a terrible situation. I am fully confident that their own poor work ethics will bite them in the butt. The cost was more than the bid. When they settled up the bill, they didn't mention that they had already taken a $500 deposit from the homeowner. So they go away with that extra money, too.

My experience with Five Star Painting went okay. I think they didn't show up the day they were scheduled. When they did start the next day they didn't put down the tarps or when they did the power wash and draping. They painted my house, just exterior. The workers were okay, cooperative. The clean up wasn't too good. I always voice my concerns and complaints to the supervisor and he worked it out. I wouldn't use him again. A part of the problem was that the guy, the estimator came out, the sale guy and then he went out on vacation which resulted in miscommunications with the actual worker bees. I understand that happens but still no excuse. The punctuality would have been a 'F'. I worked hard for them and waited for them. And I reshuffled my plans to make sure I was there to get the job started and they didn't show up. They kind of made up for the misunderstanding.

The original conversation & meetings with Mike Holden (Vice President of Five Star Painting) were excellent. He was professional, punctual, friendly, helpful with choosing paint colors & fast with pricing quotes. The painters showed up late twice. The project took longer than I was originally told. There was no leftover paint for for touch ups. One of the ceiling cans for the lights was damaged & when I called the painter to address the issue he was rude. I fixed the problem myself because I was just done with the hassle. I would use Five Star again, I should have contacted Mike directly instead of trying to handle the situation with the painters that were sent out on this job.

They arrived on time and immediately started to work. Very polite, professional, and neat! The work was completed in a very timely manner. The quality, professionalism was outstanding!!

Arrived right on time to review job and provide estimate. I accepted the estimate and contracted for the job including selecting finish and color. The entire 2-bedroom condo (1,270 sq. ft.) was to be done in eggshell in an off-white color with ceilings, door and trim in white. Doors and trim in semi-gloss. The job was to be done in stages. A flooring contractor was to remove the carpeting, then Five Star was to come in and remove the baseboards from all the areas where the carpeting had been removed and the paint the unit.. Then the flooring company was to install the flooring followed by Five Star re-installing the base, replacing any damaged sections and providing finishing details. The on-site supervisor arrived to start the job and called me to pick finish and color, even though I'd already done so. When the job was "finished", a shower head was not re-installed, a closet door was in the front foyer and had not been re-installed and a couple of areas needed to be touched up. I was at home in Florida and my daughter was attempting to coordinate the job from her home in Las Vegas. She contacted Five Star on two occasions and after the third call the touch-up was done and the shower head was still not reinstalled. My daughter was inspecting the work at night in a vacant condo without the aid of a flashlight and didn't notice a couple a sections had no baseboards installed (about two feet in total).. This was after I had paid for the job. A quality paint job at a fair price but miscommunications with the on-site crew chief who was a bit dense.

It was really great. the job was completed in one day and the house looked better now than it did new. When I came home from work I was very happy. it's the best looking house on the block. Also they painted my patio and made it look bran-new.

The team was very professional and clean. In the beginning they covered all doors, windows and the pool. Then they power washed the house. After repairing the broken stucco they painted the fascia, house and the pool deck. The pool deck was not sprayed, but painted manually. In order to avoid a mess in our pool. One chosen color around our garage didn't match. We decided to take to another color. They repainted it for free. The color of the front door also didn't match. For a little extra payment. they did it too. In three days the job was done.

It was wonderful. They are very exact, professional, accommodating and neat.

I needed my ceiling repainted in the living room, family room, and hallway. Five Star gave me the best quote, so I went with them. We agreed upon a date to start and I was asked for a 25% deposit. I didn't like a deposit upfront, but agreed. We set a start date and they arrived as agreed. They sprayed the ceiling and were finished in (1) day. I noticed that the ceiling had streaks in it and pointed out to team. They did send out a young man to redo parts of the ceiling, but I was not completely satisfied, but I let the young man leave because he did try. The problem I see is that the ceiling should have been rolled instead of sprayed. The ceiling is still streaky and I am living with it.

They painted my laundry room with stripe. The base boards in my master bedroom and the shutters outside.

They painted the exterior of the house.Two representatives came to the home one to give an estimate and one to check on the dryness of the stucco to ensure that elastromeric paint could be used for the job. | |Once I accepted the bid they arranged a starting date, arrived on time everyday and completed the job in 3 days.They were very professional, cleaned the site everyday and communicated the progress for each day.

I bought the "Free Paint +$200 Credit" deal they were offering here on Angie's List. That has to be the best deal ever. I am so very pleased. I hate talking on the phone, so I went on their website and filled out the Request a Free Estimate form. After filling it out it told me I would hear back from someone in 3 or so days. I heard from them the very next morning. The estimator, Mike arrived at scheduled time. He was very funny, and courteous. He offered to wear the booties on the floor or take off his shoes. I had done a faux finish on my kitchen myself. I think Mike could tell it would take a lot of work to go over again, he seemed to want to talk me out of doing the kitchen. However, he was not pushy, and he was very nice. He gave me the estimate right then and there. I played with the idea of painting the cupboards, so I asked Mike to come back out to give me an estimate on the cupboards. We set up a time for him to come back out, and at scheduled time, Paul arrived instead, because Mike was busy. I am glad that he was able to send someone else in his place instead of calling to reschedule. After getting the new estimate, I was informed my work hours had been cut, so I decided to not do the cupboards and just stick to the original plan. Mike was willing to work with me and allowed me to put half down before the job and do the other half after the job. Painting day arrived, and Deidra showed up all by herself, and was scheduled to get the job done in two days. She ended up taking three, but with the number I did on the kitchen, it took some extra work to go over it all. She did an amazing job. She didn't even seem bothered when my kids sat and stared at her before they had to go to school. She took all the blinds down, outlet covers off, etc. and put them all back up and on. She was always a few minutes early and always cleaned up before she left. She was very sweet and friendly. I honestly don't have a complaint. I am so glad I purchased the deal and I would go with them again any day.

Painted the majority of the house including an oak banister. Overall the painting went well. I have noticed a few spy around the house that need touch up. My only major complaints are about the banister. I was told when given the quote that the banister would be prepped first, such as cracks being filled. Absolutely no prep was done and it shows. Already the lacquer is cracked in spots. It looks okay from afar, but up close it looks sloppy.

The price for me was higher than I was expecting. The guys were professional and great. The price for me was not in my range at that time. I know that they are good.

Victor is very pleasant to deal with. He had to postpone our job a few weeks due to rain, but he communicated that to us and it was fine. He matched the paint and everything looks good. His employees were pretty friendly. They had to move a bunch of stuff from our side yard to get to the house, and we told them we would put it back because we wanted to get rid of some of it. We did find a fair amount of tape and paper and painting trash left behind that we had to clean up, but that may have been because it was hard for them to see it due to the patio table and furniture being in the middle of the yard. Overall a positive experience and we are pleased with the results.

(I hated the wood color). The 7 day job turned into 11 days as I was very picky and they were very responsive. The job has a 2 year warranty so I can call if any more seams open up. Special mention to the hardest workers of them all: Josefina and Maribel (Yup, the girls did most of the labor). Luis was very nice but as foreman, I expected to see him more often. Mike the superintendent, I saw 3 times and Mike the owner, never after he gave his bid. Also to Jose the cabinet refinisher who made old worn out cabinets come alive. Now, that doesn't mean they never showed up but since I was there almost every day for long periods of time as project manager, I found it interesting that I did not run into them more often. (I did have their numbers and I did call when I needed to). All in all, a positive experience and a great crew. .
