Description of Work: They broke my grandfather's clock, IPOD missing, would not return my calls to file a claim. one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. Would never recommend them.

We had scheduled the pickup several weeks before (over the 4th of July weekend). We had to put $440 down as a pre-payment. Once they had our $440 they became extremely unresponsive to phone calls. When I spoke to their employee, she told me that all packing, boxes, and supplies would be included...hence "all inclusive." This is untrue and the fine print states otherwise. She also stated the pickup date would be "between July 28 and July 31." I pushed and pushed for a specific pickup date because I was coming from NJ and had only limited time. They wouldn't budge, but said they would contact me with a specific pickup time the week before. They didn't. I called and called and called. No one would answer. They are impossible to contact. I should have cancelled, but they had $440 of mine...I left multiple messages over the weekend of July 26 and 27. Finally, on Monday the 28th they contacted me and said they would be at my address at 9:00 am on Tuesday, July 29. "Great!" I said. Finally feeling like we were making progress. 9:00 am on Tuesday came and went. I called and called and called. I emailed and emailed. Finally, at noon I got through and they said I was scheduled for Friday, Aug 1. This was not possible for me. I was leaving. I had to be out of the storage unit on the 31st. I couldn't extend as the unit had already been rented to someone else. I couldn't even switch carriers...too late of notice and they already had $440. I was furious and spoke to the owner Guy...he was rude...shouted at me. Tried to tell me this was my fault. We rescheduled the pickup for Thursday July 31 again at 9:00 am. They actually arrived at 5:00 pm. When they arrived, they told me that packing our goods was not included. What!!?? And we would be charged $356 for any packing materials. They pulled out a contract and said, "sign here and here and here." I didn't realize I was "waiving" the full replacement of any lost or undelivered goods. Talk about hiding things in the fine print. I had no options at this point. I had to be out before 9:00 pm THAT DAY. I couldn't hire anyone new. I was completely under duress. I left them with our good. They packed it. I watched. I signed off on the inventory...but, I couldn't read the packer's "chicken scratch" handwriting. So I did my best. Bad decision. It took weeks and weeks for our things to be delivered. But finally the day came. It was a horrific experience. Items were missing. Expensive fragile goods were destroyed. On our inventory the packer said the fragile items were packed by the customer...which was completely untrue...but I signed it...again, chicken scratch. Remember I signed away the full-replacement? Yep, so the things that were missing--that we could prove were missing--would be replaced at $0.60 of the weight! Our antique table...valued at over $1,000...would be replaced at $30. My wife's inherited Swedish Crystal goblets....valued at over $100 per goblet...completely destroyed and would not be replaced. What should have been a simple process became a heartbreaking, devastating experience. Moral of the story... Read the fine print. And...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Worst experience.
