Description of Work: Fernando and his staff were very nice and friendly. The job we needed them to do was yard cleanup. They were very fast and efficient. The complaint that I have is that they left early without checking out with us. We purchased 8 hours and only received 6 hours...2 guys for 3 hours. There was more work to be done and they were gone. I feel that if you sell your service by the hour, you should honor the number of prepaid hours.

Description of Work: I called them and they said the ad was wrong and being pulled. Then I asked if I could get a quote and they said they would have estimator call back, never did.

Description of Work: Graded and level out the back yard. Completed a retainer wall and completed a 12 x 14 patio. Mr Arriaga was a fantastic person to work with and what changes we made along the way was acknowledge and such great people to help with any improvements to the area. We look forward on doing future business with this company and truly will pass on to others on such fantastic work they done.

Description of Work: Cleaned up my yard OK, and repaired a leak in an irrigation system, but left all the trash for me to dispose up over a two-week period via normal trash pickup. Pretty much butchered one yucca-type plant with over-trimming. All this in two hours (two workers, i.e. 4 labor-hours versus 8 labor-hours per Angie's List Big Deal. Then charged me an extra $25 to fix the leak, using one 79-cent part. Two days later the irrigation system sprung another leak, so I called Alco for help but was not able to make phone contact. So I called another service I found on Angie's web site and they fixed it, so all is OK now, but not without some agony. Don't think I will call Alco again.

Description of Work: The crew did a meticulous job renovating our landscape. The foreman did a very good job to make sure everything which needed to be done was done. The owner was very attentive. His prices were very reasonable for extra work. I would definitely hire this company again and recommend it to friends.

Description of Work: I thought I was getting 8 hrs for 199 and it turned out they charged me 180.00 to rent a truck to haul away the plants they remove. The 2 workers were outstanding, but they |Finished in about 2 hrs and just waited until the owner came |Back to load up the trimmings and shrubs.....they left stuff that I told them I wanted removed and had to hire someone |else to finish the job. Just make certain in the future if the |Contractor has any hidden charges .

Description of Work: The company was hired to perform 8 hours of landscaping services. The company did not perform the full 8 hours of services. After completing five hours of services they left my property, and had planted flowers in an arrangement not as we had asked. We phoned the owner several times and he never returned our call.

Description of Work: They performed landscaping cleanup in my front yard. I bought an Angie's Deal for 8 hours of landscaping. They didn't return my original call. But I called back and set up service for Thursday at 7:00 am. On Thursday no one showed up until after 8:00 am no one called to ask what areas I wanted done. I had to leave for work and when I returned the front yard landscaping was done. The work that they did was beautiful and I would definitely use them again. But I had wanted some work done in the back yard also. I'm not sure how the used 8 hours in my small front yard.

Description of Work: Well there was an original issue in regard to the Angies List deal. Angies list took care of the promotional price and when they finally came they did a terrific job. |However... the first person who came for our appt was so rude. He would not honor the angies list code and left! |When we called the office we got the runaround for a day. Finally we resolved this issue but the whole experience was bittersweet. The guy that came out was SO rude and its really tough to continue with their service. But again, they did a great job when they actually did the job. To this day it irks me about how we were treated as potential long term clients. which we would have been. The experience really is a good example of how NOT to do business. And by the way, Angies List gave us a follow up call to make sure we were happy with the job; Angies list was the big winner here. ALCO, not so much. No apology, no follow up call. So sadly I just would not recommend ALCO. NOT because they don't do a very good job, but because they don't care about their clients at all.

Description of Work: They did a good job of trimming the bushes. I then hired them to re-do the irrigation system for the bushes. All was done well except they forgot to connect the solenoid system to the timer. Not a big problem but a problem nevertheless. I connected it and everything works fine.

Description of Work: The landscaper spent considerable time cutting, trimming, and cleaning out the over-grown bushes and plants in the front and back yards. The debris was hauled away, and I appreciated his effort. I would call them again and would recommend the company.

Description of Work: We expected 8 hours service from a landscaper with suggestions and help with our landscaping. Instead they dropped off two non-English speaking Mexican workers and instructed them on a few of the projects we asked about and then the workers left approximately 2 hours and ten minutes later. We did not get 8 hours of landscaping from 1 person or 4 hours from 2 workers.
