Alco Landscape Co

I purchased a $399.00 Angie's coupon which was supposed to be worth $700 in landscape work, including 5 5-gal. shrubs and 10 one gal. shrubs. Alcon Landscaping owner & one worker planted 5 hawthorne bushes that were supposed to be 5-gal. size but actually were 2 gal. size, & these plants are failing to thrive. Provider also planted 10 lantana plants that were in very poor condition & which I would never have purchased so one has to questions the Alcon owner's ability, judgment & integrity. These plants are either dead or dying now. I just purchased 9 lantanas myself from Lowes & planted them today -- cost $90.00 -- they're beautiful & thriving. The man Eduardo (? spelling) who owns Alcon Landscape & his one worker spent less than 90 minutes performing the work on 2 separate visits spanning 3 weeks. They never called me to schedule appointments; I did all the calling & all of the followup calls. If this was $700 worth of landscape work, that works out to about $475/hr for very poor work & unsatisfactory results. When you purchase a coupon, the money is spent whether you are satisfied or not. What a ripoff! I will not be renewing my subscription to Angie's list. I think I deserve a refund because the service & products were not provided as per my purchase agreement. Does anyone ever actually read these details?

I'm pleased with the work, they showed up and bagged three pretty good size bags of debris. I'm not sure I got the entire 4 hours I paid for, but that's mostly my fault for not having 4 hours worth of work. I would use them again.

They did a great job with a weeding job that had become overwhelming to me. My backyard is fairly large and the weeds were approximately knee-high and not far from taking over the entire yard. I'll be darned if they didn't get rid of most of them as well as some piles of dead evergreen bushes from a previous exasperation spree. About ten percent of the weeds were left on the far side of the yard, presumably because the time limit did not allow for total removal. I'm quite satisfied with what they were able to do though. I would use them again.

After contacting Alco and speaking with Fernando, he arrived on time to look over the scope of work and provide a quote. The quote provided was very fair for the work that was to be done. On the appointed day, Fernando and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in two days. The finished product exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to use Alco in the future.

That was good. They came in a couple of weeks after I purchased them because I was out of town. They got a hold of me right away and came out when I needed them. The pricing was good.

They were helpful enough to put our 8 hours up to me. They did a good job. They were thorough. The quality of their work was good.

It went well, they were here for an hour and half. They were on time and did a great job!

Company was very punctual and did a great job. I thought they would only have enough time to do the front yard, but they trimmed all trees and bushes in both the front and back yards. Would definitely recommend and hire again.

I wasn't terribly pleased with Alco Landscape Co. They sent two men and we discussed what needed to be done. They were there four hours and only finished half of what we discussed. They offered to finish the other half for an additional $250. I said no and had someone else come out to finish for a more reasonable price. However, it was easy to schedule with them and they showed up on time.

Two workers showed up on time and immediately got to work clearing out dead bushes and other debris from a long-neglected very large patio. Fernando, the owner, showed up shortly thereafter and we discussed future possibilities for the patio. He offered to remove a small tree for a reasonable price. They also cleaned up and trimmed another patio. Everyone was polite and I felt they went above and beyond what I expected and I love looking out my windows finally!

The service turned out good. The quality of the work they did was fantastic. They went above and beyond to do things to my liking. They were punctual and very professional. They were very good at what they did. Even when there were things that I wanted them to do that were not completely on the limits of what they were doing, they explained to me what it was. They had some regulations like that could not trim a tree above certain height. They looked for alternatives to do those things and how to handle what I wanted to handle. They were fabulous.

Slowly at first, I forgot to give them my phone number, so they couldn't reach me when they were unable to make the original appointment due to equipment problems. When they came, I was very satisfied

On time - within price and great work.

I wrote them a message letting them know I wanted the work completed as soon as possible leaving my cell number and asking them to call me. I received a response stating "since you didn't answer we will schedule you for December 30th", but I need the work done much sooner. I think they should have followed my instructions and call me.

Two men took about 31/2 each to put in perhaps 30 plants. They worked hard and were very cooperative. Happy to take direction and eager to please. They were skilled at thier work.

Went well. They were able to accomplish the task within 2 hours. My backyard is now clean and looking much better.

I bought the coupon on September 30, 2014. Fernando came to my house on 10-4-14. Since then I have only gotten one email on 10-14-14 asking what my email is so they can send me the plan/cost. I emailed back with my email and there was no reply ever since. I called the company today to ask for a refund (it has been over 30 days since I bought this coupon!). The woman who answered the phone was very rude - and kept on saying "but they did go to your place right?" and I said "yes they came over but I have not gotten the drawing or cost yet!" She said she would have Fernando call me back. Let's see if this happens. Meanwhile I will not be working with them and I want my money back!

On time early, hard workers, polite, job done in time allotted. Could not have asked for better.

Owner came two hours late for 9 am appointment made by phone for 10/07/14. He suggested coming back on Sat 10/11/14 at 10:30 am - but did not show up. I called Alco landscape Co. but no answer. Following week, I called the office and explained the situation to receptionist, who said she'd look into it and reschedule. Haven't heard back. I'd like to cancel, as these folks just aren't dependable.

On October 12, 2014, I bought a deal for $ 89 Landscaping Evaluation and Consultation with ALCO Landscape Co. On October 14 I got a e-mail message from them that they have me for appointment on October 16, afternoon, and ask me to provide the cellphone number, so they will call me to let me know what time they will come. I send them back e-mail message with my cell number and OK for the date. On October 16, I was waiting in my house from the early morning to 7 pm, but there was no call, no show up, nothing from them. I do not know what to think about it ,is it the way they have to do /or I should say ruin/ their business?

First Fernando come out and showed us his design. This was after he had taken some pictures. The design did not look like our yard and was really off scale. So I told him I would design it myself. I think he should of gone over the types of plants he had in mind for our yard. I talked to some friends and they told me how much work some of those plants were. I like a nice yard but don't want to do a lot of work. He told us to go to the nursery and pick out our plants. I did and they planted them for me. They did ok. Half of the irrigation was working I paid extra $50 and the other half was not working. They said they would fix it for more. But we just told them to leave it. The plants looked good after they were planted. A day later we went out to work in the yard and put rock around our newly planted shrubs. They did not plant them very well. Sorry I don't think I will use this company again. Not saying anyone should not try them, might work out for you.

I wish the provider would have said that he does not service Boulder City.

Perfect, once I received the approval from the Homeowner Association, Fernando, the owner of the company and his team started the project and it was finished in 4 days. The project included cleaning and prepping the 250 sq. ft. courtyard area of river rock. Fernando worked with me on the design and layout of the project. Once they started the installation of the pavers, we made some changes in the design pattern and the project completion was fabulous. I would recommend his company without question.

There were no troubles with scheduling and they were punctual. The man who came out talked with me about what I could do for the landscaping and what plants I could move around. Everything worked out well.
