Description of Work: Replaced AC coil. Alaskan was great. I called them for a second opinion since the first vendor wasn't explaining the work that was needed very well and I was losing trust in their recommendation. Alaskan explained what was needed in a way I understood and made sense to me. They were thorough, prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous. They even had a second vendor follow up the day after to fix the sheet rock to my attic since the AC unit was too large and they had to remove trim to fit it into the attic. Their sub-contractor was also great!

Description of Work: I previously used Alaskan Heating and Air in Sept. 2013 when I had them install a new furnace and Heat Pump in my home. I was very satisfied with the install and price. Very nice people. In July this year I had a problem with my Air Conditioner not starting. They came quickly to find out what was going on. After a missed diagnosis it was determined that my homes electrical breaker was the culprit. The technician was very nice and did not charge me for the visit.

Description of Work: I first used Alaskan Heating & Air Conditioning on 12-13-13 for a routine check and was very impressed with not only the professionalism and service, but also the extra step the technician took to locate and fix a problem that no one else could solve over years regarding the "newspaper" insulation coming through our vents (my commendation is posted). The company gained my trust then. When I had a ceiling leak, the Alaskan tech came ahead of schedule in May for a routine check to go into our attic to evaluate the cause of the leak prior to the AHS (home warranty) scheduled tech arriving. He took pictures of what he saw that appeared to be the problems, emailed them to me and described the situation, which I printed & typed and handed to the AHS tech when he arrived (drain pan not level, PVC drain slanted up causing pan to overflow, Plenum box bowed on bottom & leaking water onto ceiling). AHS tech simply lowered the PVC drain pipes and 4 weeks later, we had another ceiling leak. I contacted AHS to schedule their contracted company again (within a day of their 30-day guarantee so I didn't have to pay another $75 for a service call). He then said we needed a new Plenum box, etc., etc. When I discovered that I could receive a "cash out" from AHS in lieu of the repairs, I opted for that and scheduled Alaskan to do the repairs. Chad was patient and helpful to me through this process. After I received the "cash out" confirmation from AHS, I was able to connect with Chad at 12 p.m. on Friday. In order for us to not have to go through the weekend without A/C, Chad personally picked up the Plenum box and by 2 p.m. two technicians were on the job. I might add that another technician working in the area came with a part that they needed and picked up a part from their trucks that he needed. What I have seen is how everyone works together as a team to get a job done. Additionally, it is so refreshing (and valued these days) to work with a company that is customer service driven - everyone I have connected with is so pleasant and helpful and informative. A number of times, Alaskan has gone beyond to help me and service our needs. This does not come lightly from me, as I would probably say it of few, but I trust that Alaskan is honest about the job that needs to be done, will not add extras to that (as many companies do), and will stand behind their work.

Description of Work: April 21st they cleaned our ducts. Previously on April 10th installed a new furnace package. They have always arrived early and been professional. They have responded appropriately when we have concerns/questions.

Description of Work: Jeff did an inspection of our heating system. He was very professional, pleasant, informative and helpful. He checked what another company had said was a problem and potentially an expensive repair and said that there was no problem. Additionally, he found and taped an area that was drawing air and newspaper insulation dust through our system. Since 2005, we have had annual inspections of our A/C and Heater and I have asked every technician what the source of this lint dust might be. They all agreed that it was not regular dust, probably insulation dust, but none of them found the source of the problem. Needless to say, I am relieved that we are no longer breathing this and I don't have to dust every 2 to 3 days and am very thankful to Jeff, who quickly found the source, for taking the time to "go beyond" to help us with this problem. Also, Chad did a follow-up call to see if we were please with the service and professionalism ... a big "Yes" to both. Chad also went beyond to see if he could find some information for me in an unrelated issue. This company has gained my trust and even though their maintenance checks cost more than some companies, I plan to use their services and highly recommend them.
