Affordable Tree Service

Affordable came right out to do an estimate and then removed our tree a week later. Very reasonable price and easy to deal with. I was able to save 10% for being an Angie's List customer.

The trimming job was excellent, but they did not put a tarp over my Jacuzzi, which turned green and had to be back-washed by a professional.

They did exactly what they said they would do. I wasn't there for most of it but I know they had a foreman on the site. He communicated what they were doing and what they couldn't do and made sure it was according to what they had to do. That was good. As for the pricing, I didn't see other estimates but I was told by some people that that was a very good price.

A Grade A plus service. Free consultation performed by Owner. Owner watched over the job. I was even so pleased with everything. The owner and the price, along with the professional workers and work ethic. I referred them to my BFF and I wouldn't have done that unless I was certain they would do a Quality job at a good price. They cut two very tall palm trees down below ground level. They were not able to do this the easiest way for them either as my gate was not quite wide enough. It didn't affect quality or the timeline. There was not a piece if clutter or mess left when the job was done. Just nice and clean. This Company is in my A list. I don't think anyone could go wrong, unless they choose someone else. That's my opinion, I've been a Henderson resident for over 20 years and Nevada resident for almost 30. I was happy to see that they put their hearts into doing a good job. These trees were very dear to my heart and when I asked the owner if he would mind letting me get a picture of him with my trees he obliged.

My mom was looking for a tree removal company for two problem trees and was referred to Affordable Tree Service. She was aware they were noted on Angie's list. She called me after they had done the two jobs they were hired to handle, and she raved about their service. I saw for myself what they did, and they handled the jobs well. They gave my parents and estimate on both jobs, one for $300 for pine tree removal and $450 for Eucalyptus tree removal (It was massive and started to tear up the driveway). They stuck to their estimates. They also stuck to the timeline. Some of the tree leftovers ended up in a neighbor's yard, and they were sure to clean that up as well. The Eucalyptus they took down had been there for over 30 years, was gigantic and problematic and, although beautiful, had to be removed. It had a massive root base and they poisoned the rest thoroughly so it won't come back. My mother assured me they were on time for both jobs, did them fast, cleaned up thoroughly and were polite and professional. We will eventually need a large palm removed from the backyard, and I do intend to use them.

They cut down 3 trees on our lot. It was an easy job because the lot is completely empty there were just 3 trees left. Eric called me before he started the job and asked where I wanted the wood pile placed. I told him next to the fence. I told him I wanted to mark the trees at the height to be cut so we could use them for benches. I live in Las Vegas, the property is in Mt Charleston. I was not there when they cut the trees. I should have been. Instead of putting the wood by the fence they put it right where we are going to be building a cabin, right in the middle of the property. They also took my wood chips which I wanted left so I could have them spread across our property to help with the mud and loose dirt. I wanted to start taking my dogs there to run and play. I called about the location of the wood and was told when they build the cabin the building crew can move the wood. That was upsetting for many reasons. I want to be able to run and play with the dogs. A big pile of wood in the center of the property gets in the way of ball throwing and such. I also did not want to have to pay to move the wood when the cabin construction started. It should have been done correctly by Affordable Tree service. Instead of being professional and coming and fixing the issue it was just blown off and I was made to feel like I had no right to ask him to come and move the wood. I also asked him why they took my wood chips. I told him I wanted them. Eric said had he known that he would have saved money by not having to dump them. He would have been happy to have left them. I asked why he did not tell me he was going to take the wood chips. He said 99% of people don't want them so he does not waste time asking that question. I did not know he was going to take them. I asked if he could bring them back and he said no he had already dumped them. I asked if he could bring wood chips from another job where the customer did not want them because I truly need wood chips to control the mud and loose dirt so I can play with my dogs without us getting so dirty it is a nightmare during and after playing. The property has no foliage at all so it is a dust bowl. He said he would be doing a job at the end of the month and would put the chips in my yard. He said he would call me when he was doing that job. I did not hear from him for a long time. I finally called and he said the job had not occurred and I need to wait until he gets a job in Mt Charleston so it would not cost him any money to give me the chips. I waited again and did not hear from him so I called upset and we had a go around. Turns out my designer had asked if taking the branches was included in the price. Eric replied yes. I was left out of that decision. Eric should have asked me about that comment when he and I talked prior to him doing the job. He asked me many questions, that question should have been asked. Since that occurred I asked Eric how much it would cost to bring me wood chips. He said $245. I told Eric he would save the dumping fee of $125 so I would pay the balance of $120 to get the wood chips. He still would not work with me. He also continued to be unwilling to move the wood. I finally called another company and they are bringing wood chips for the gas price of $100. I will pay them more because I appreciate them helping me. They are coming in just 2 days. I told Eric that I was getting the wood chips for $100 so I did not need his help. At that point he offered to move the wood on the weekend. I told him I needed it moved before Friday. This was not a good experience. It would have been so easy to just move the wood and bring wood chips to me. Yes there is a drive but he still would have made at least $1000 to $1200 for the work. It was not going to take a way all his profit. Moral of this story. I would not suggest using Eric. There are plenty of companies that will work with you if things go wrong. They won't make you wait until the time is good for them. They will make it right when the time is good for you. Another company is willing to help out and they are not going to gain anything. I will make sure they do but they don't know that. Money is what Eric was interested in. Taking good care of his customer was not important to him.

3 guys worked as a team. I trusted them and left up to them do what need to make the tree looks nice. And they did... it looks amazing now and made my yard looks so much bigger. Guys Worked fast and cleaned up after their job. I will be calling them again to cut my palm trees.

They did all the branches and all the extra growth. They got everything off my house. They mulched all the branches and then blew all my sidewalks. They did a great job. I highly recommend them.

April 21st .... The emitters were installed between 8&9am The crew for the trimming got there 11:00am trimmed the palms, shaped the hedge cleaned up every branch & leave and were on their way by 12:15. The crew were 3 very polite men that would asked how it looked and if it was trimmed the way I wanted it. From the phone call to the work finished was a great experience and I wish all service contractors were like this it would Make life simpler. Would I call them again? Y e s

They arrived on time for both the estimate and the tree trimming. The crew was polite and performed the job as expected. They cleaned up and left the year neat.

These guys did a great job. They showed up on time, completed the work quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. They even took the time to skim all of the debris from the trimming out of my pool. The estimate was thorough and they did everything we agreed upon.

Their price was pretty good. We got a couple of prices, and they were good. We were very pleased with them.They cleaned the place up very nicely, and they took care of everything.

They did an excellent job. The day they were scheduled to come out, we had high winds and gusts. I was unsure if they would try to trim the trees, or choose to reschedule. When I arrived home from work, the trees were fully pruned, and in just the manner Sumacs are supposed to be done. There wasn't any debris left under or around either tree, from the pruning. The cuts on the tree are clean.

The crew arrived arrived on time (in fact, a bit early). Within 35 minutes, they had trimmed one very large ash tree, one large flowering plum, and an Italian Cypress tree that had sustained some wind damage. They also removed a diseased flowering plum tree, ground the stump, cleaned up all the debris and put all the branches into a wood chipper. I couldn't ask for better service.

I am very happy with their service and rate them all A's. I will use them again in the future.

A team of 5 arrived early in the prearranged window and about ninety minutes later were gone. Our trees have never looked better. They were efficient, and professional; all debris was cleaned up and like elves they were gone without a trace! We were so impressed that they will always be our first choice for tree work.

We had two sumac, one palo verde, two shoestring acaceas, two mesquite and one bottle tree trimmed and they are all large trees. We had requested that they trim them way back and thin them out. They came when the time was scheduled for and went right to work. They were neatly dressed with their company t-shirts on. All the work they did was expertly done. They cleaned up after they finished trimming better than it was. We are very pleased with the attitude of the company and the employees that came out to our home.

I got them from Angie's List. They were absolutely super! I was amazed at how fast they got in here. They were amazing! I paid $675. I got a discount for being on Angie's List. They came in and there was enough of them to do the job in a hurry because I have dogs that were locked in while they were out there. They were friendly, they were kind, and they were good. They came in, did what they had to do, and got out. They cleaned up the mess behind them so I can't ask for more than that because I have a dog that eats sticks. I don't have anything to complain about. I had somebody else come out to do my trees 4 years ago and they charged me $1,000. I thought their price was really good. We just took the first one that was on the list.

Window was set between 10-12 Saturday morning. Three arrived at 10:30 am. They all had uniform shirts on. They went right at it. They knew what they doing. They ask a few questions as the work was performed. They had a mulcher machine with them. Everything was cleaned up and the job was completed at 11:45. I would use Afforable Tree Service again and highly recommend them. Great sevice from start to finish.

The trimmed trees look much better now. Their price was very reasonable. They were quite professional and their work was of the highest quality. I will use this firm for all future tree service.

I called several weeks ahead and got 2 estimates from Angie's list providers. They came out to my house right away and gave me an estimate. They were the cheapest of the estimates. When the day came for them to trim the palms, they showed up on time, worked fast and cleaned up well when they were done.

They were fast, efficient and courteous. I am very happy with their service.

On Monday, 12/01/2013 the crew arrived on time and went to work trimming the trees in my front and back yard. They were quick and efficient. The Crew knew it's job and trimmed my Citrus and Fruit trees properly, cleaning out the middle areas and shaping them as well. They also trimmed a large mimosa and a butterfly tree in my front yard. Everything was cleared away and nothing was left around my yards or in my pool. Both my Wife and I were pleased with their professional knowledge, conduct, and price. We will continue to use them for our tree services. NOTE: I have no idea how I forgot to complete this evaluation of this Angie's List Member Company on time after they preformed their service at my home. I apologize for my neglect. Affordable Tree Service did right by us and I am sorry that I failed to report that good service before now.

The service was excellent. I e-mailed the company and Eric contacted me by telephone that day. The next day an estimator looked at all the work I needed done and wrote an estimate for me. We agreed upon the price including 10% off for Angie's list members and scheduled the work for Thursday. The 1st crew came about 45 minutes earlier than expected and got right to work. They removed a very large tree in the backyard as well as another smaller tree. The larger tree was overhanging into the neighbor's yard, so it was somewhat tricky to remove. They removed a vine that was crawling up the side of the house in the front yard and trimmed several fruit trees. The whole process took about an hour and a half. The second crew came shortly thereafter to do the cleanup of the yard and to grind the tree stump. They also worked quickly and efficiently. I am very pleased with how quick the whole process was. Everyone was very courteous and professional. I have already recommended them to my friends. It was a great experience from beginning to end.

It went very well, they were polite and professional, and very accommodating.
