We were called when an alarm went off in our home. We were at least 45 minutes away and asked them to call the police immediately. When their security officer finally arrived 34 minutes after the alarm, he said there was no sign of activity, so the incident was considered a false alarm. We do have a lock on our fence to the back yard. When we arrived home, we found the screen to our master bedroom window on the ground and our bedroom window wide open. We cautiously went into the house and found the door and screen into our backyard from our bedroom was wide open, as well. Apparently, the alarm scared the intruders and they left quickly. When we called ADT to get a police report, we were told the police were not called. The security officer sent looked over the fence, because they do not jump over any fence and did not see anything. How? Our crumpled window screen was laying on the ground in plain sight, our bedroom window, again in plain sight was wide open. Granted it was dark on that side of the of our house, but if we could see it without a flashlight, why couldn't the so called officer? Needless to say, we are now negotiating with ADT for their negligence and our loss of personal property. DO NOT contract its ADT. In Las Vegas. We purchased their security system for nearly $1,000 and feel less safe now than we did before we bought their system.
