 + -1 moreA gentleman, who was very courteous but in a hurry came and installed everything. He quickly showed me how to use the system and left before I really understood everything. I accidently set of both the alarm and the medical alert off and received an immediate response
Description of Work: Installed security on all windows and doors and also a medical alert system. In addition I pay a $56 service fee. It is very expensive, but I feel fully protected. The only problem is that the medical alert doesn't work in the shower, nor does it work well immediately outside my home, such as on the porch or in my yard.

 + -1 moreWe have been ADT customers, with 2 properties, for over 20 years. After moving from Washington DC to Henderson, Nevada, we were in the market for a security system for our recently purchased home. We receive regular mail offers asking that we have an ADT system installed...and we thought we'd have no trouble what with being such a long-time ADT customer. When we contacted the local ADT franchise, and after we listened to the sales rep repeating what we'd read in the multiple mailings, we said we wanted to proceed with ADT performing a site survey and giving us a formal quote. That's when the process fell apart. In spite of our being a long-time customer, the local ADT franchise insisted on collecting a $99.00 fee up front to and quot;reserve a time for the surveyand quot;. We were told the fee was not refundable if we didn't subscribe with ADT neither was the $99.00 fee applicable to our initial system cost. We told the ADT rep that we wouldn't pay any up-front fees and at that time we were transferred to a and quot;supervisorand quot;. I'm not sure what this person supervises, but it sure wasn't customer service. This and quot;supervisorand quot; was much more like a used car sales closer...and we were completely turned off by his manner and his unprofessional demeanor. Needless to say, we will no longer be ADT subscribers, and we certainly will not recommend ADT to our friends or business colleagues

Description of Work: Their advertising manager came knocking on our front door ... newly constructed home in a new development. He was VERY PUSHY and could not understand our simple request to call and schedule an appt. He'd caught is in the middle of hanging a light fixture, we explained this to him and still we could not dislodge him from our front door. The man was very rude. He did eventually call and we scheduled a time to sit down with him, as we were in the market for a home security system. He arrived with a trainee salesman in tow and proceeded to give us a very smooth line of BS about how he was going to give us a really great deal on a home security system because he wanted to use our home as advertising in the new neighborhood. His "special" prices were higher than ADT thru Gaylord Security. The man tried to high pressure us into signing a contract with him that day and pretended to be offended when I said that I wanted to speak to his current customers in the neighborhood before making a committment. He finally left ... with a long face, trying to make me feel guilty about not signing with him. What a jerk! This man's slick, high pressure sales tactics and generally unprofessional behavior were a real turn off. If he's typical of their sales force I'd recommend that you run far, run fast. He PUSHED us into the arms of ADT/Gaylord Security. Buy your system from Gaylord (a salesman named Lee Rose) and you'll have a must better experience as well as receive good value for your money.

Description of Work: We bought a security system which they installed properly. A central vacuum system which we will in stall our selves as they do NO electrical. We have to hire an electrician for one plug with the vacuum. Prompt, kind ,clean, well spoken, professional, owner and worker.

 + -1 morePurchased a new home which already had Alarm system installed, however just not activated. Contacted Hometronics and within a few days my system was activated and working. They showed up on time and checked out my entire home system to include my doors, windows and ensured my security panel was properly wired and labeled correctly. Very pleased with their professionalism.

 + 0 moreOne of the worst feeling you can have as a Home Owner is being out of town and getting an alert that a home invasion has taken place in your neighborhood. Even if you already have an alarm system installed, it's still a helpless feeling and you worry until you return home to see if everything is ok. Not wanting to have that feeling again, I contacted HomeTronics to install my Home Security Camera System. David Poser once again dispatched his team of professionals, (Jason, Max, and Jose) to perform the install. The team installed the system within a few hours, to include concealing all the cables. The system was tested and demonstrated, plus Jason even set up our system online and on our cell phones which allows us to view our home will away. Providing us peace of mind when away!

 + -1 moreHaving recently purchased a new big screen TV, I wanted the sound quality of a movie theater to accompany it. Once again contacting David Poser and the HomeTronic team, they provided us with the ultimate sound package. Now we truly can say we have a Home Theater!! The install team consisted of Jason, Max and Jose. Again, all wiring concealed in the walls and ceiling to produce a professioanal effect. Plus they laid down plastic on the carpet and protective covering on our furnishing, which reduced clean up time (which by the way they performed). After completion, Jason once again tweaked the system and programed the remote control and demonstrated the entire system. The sound effect is phenomenal. Now all we have to do is ensure we're not disturbing our neighbors while watching a movie,...but I can live with that :-)!!

 + -1 moreBeing impressed with previous work performed by HomeTronics, I contacted sales associate David Poser about installing a surround sound system in my downstairs family room. After describing the layout I was looking for, David researched all the necessary components to include wiring, speakers, subwoofer and audio video receiver to produce the exact effect I was looking for. David sent two of his professional installers (Jason and Max), over to complete the work. They showed up on time for their scheduled appointment and even wore booties on their shoes to ensure they didn't damage our new flooring. Needless to say, this alone made the wife very happy. All wiring was concealed in the walls and ceiling,...plus they took the time to tweak and adjust the sound quality and programmed the remote control. After the install, Jason took time to explain and demonstrate the entire system. Once again, "Outstanding" workmanship and professionalism.
