He was right on time, came out twice. He was polite, professional, quick, and well priced.

I had to pay an extra apart from the $29 deal but I don?t remember exactly. I was not there when they did it. But they did a good job and I was satisfied with what they did. I did not have any issues with the lock ever since they installed it. They came the next day after I purchased the big deal.

To my surprise a salesman arrived first and tried to sell me special locks that could not be picked or duplicated unless you went to their place of business to get duplicates made. He quoted me $700 and for several reasons I decided to take them. After about 6 months I called because one of the locks did not work. An installer came out and fixed it, explaining that something had not been secured when it was first installed. No charge.

He changed the bedroom locks which was fine. The mail box locks he changed was not secure. People could reach in and pick our mail if they want to.

Excellent. The service person called ahead when he was going to be late, and the lock worked perfectly after he was finished.

Didn't use their service, got a refund.

went fine....I bought a deal and expected that it would cover most of the cost, but it as it turned out, that only covered the service call, re-keying was extra $22 per lock....I have done this previously with this company, and as I recall most of the re-keying was covered in the AL online deal...

The first guy they sent out damaged the gate, and they had to send someone else out to fix it.

He replaced the locks and given same key for both the locks .

It was okay until the guy could not get the part that he needed. He was not able to fix it and I ended up fixing it myself. The guy was very nice and the service was nice.

locksmith was prompt and efficient BUT I had an Angie's list coupon which he said didn't apply. That's funny because I called the vendor and specifically told him what I wanted done on the Angie's list deal and he never said or indicated in any way that the coupon deal wouldn't apply. The coupon clearly said $39.00 for $100 off high security lock. No problem there but farther down under the "real deal" it read: "A lock problem can be a nightmare! Whether you need new keys, deadbolts installed, existing locks rekeyd or just need to increase the security level of your home, this money saving offer can make it happen." I needed my existing locks rekeyed and was charged $190.51 for the privilege. So as far as I'm concerned, I got took! I thought Angie's list frowned on this type of bait and switch deal? I'll never use these people again!

I haven't been on my Angies list for quite awhile so this is a delayed response I thought I'd done. My financial details may be a bit off BUT I do remember being frustrated at the charge I still had to pay to get a basic lock replacement on top of the "special" I'd already paid for. I won't use this company again.

I bought some locks online to install myself. I realized I didn't have the proper tools to complete the job but I did drill the door holes. Called this locksmith after some decent reviews on Angie's. Quoted on the phone $85 for fresh install as I had the locks already. I had a total of 4 locks to install in my home. I was prepared to pay the $85 each. Angie's offered a 10% off coupon as well as a $29 prepaid service call. Locksmith came promptly on schedule and seems a nice enough fellow. However I felt there was dishonestly in pricing. He tried to charge me the $29 service call fee again. I had to print out the credit card receipt as proof of payment even though I took the steps to buy online and have the service call scheduled on Angie's. Next he tries to charge me $145 for fresh installs even though I was quoted $85 over the phone. I told him to call and double check and maybe that his quote to me included the lock purchase which I had done already. btw I bought locks for 1/2 the price on Amazon if that's the case. So he "double checks" and confirms it's $85. Great...bill adjusted to about $310. He goes to start the work and realizes the invoice was wrong and that I had 4 installs and not 3 so I review the bill again and on top of the $85 for a "fresh installation" he's charging me $25 for each lock. I was definitely not pleased by this as a "fresh installation" in my language means you install the locks. So how the h*** does adding $25 per lock on top of the $85 make any sense. It doesn't to me and my gut told me to tell him to go to h***. He's right now just installing one lock as I refuse to be duped. Unfortunately I drilled one hole in my door and needed a pro to finish the install. I wish I had waited for my handyman friend instead. My advice is to make 100% sure you get a full price quote and triple check their pricing. I think it's terrible business practice to bait and switch pricing. The service man was professional and punctual. That's the best I can say about this company.

I purchased a big deal with this provider, but never got around to using it. The service is now unneccesary.

They were very competent. It went very well.

II called on the ad in Angie's magazine and was told the price would be $63.00 for the service call and $18.00 per door for the 8 doors I wanted re-keyed. I told him I could not find my door key but he said that was no problem, they could still re-key all the locks. No mention that there would be an extra charge if I didn't have a key. He told me that I would get a 20% discount on labor - NO MENTION OF HIS $29.00 SPECIAL.. When the locksmith came I found my key to the front door so the charge was still $18.00 for that door.. The other 7 doors were all keyed alike, but I did not have a key for those doors. He told me that there would be an extra charge of $10.00 FOR EACH DOOR since I did not have a key. I told him I thought it should only be an extra charge for one door but he said no! I began to realize that the his goal was to get as much money for the job as possible. I was uncomfortable with this charge but wanted the locks changed. When he left I went around checking to be sure each door was locked. I was shocked to find that I could not unlock some of the doors. I could not open 2 of the doors at all (one of them was close to my bedroom & so in a fire I would not be able to use that door). The lock on the door of the breakfast area was almost impossible for me to open but I finally did get it open but the knob you use on the inside of the door felt very flimsy and I was afraid that I would break it off trying to lock and unlock the door. It is obvious when you "work" this lock that there is something wrong with the way the lock was put in - something doesn't fit right. This is a door I use many times a day and having it not in correct working order would be terrible. I cannot unlock the door from the Family Room at all. i also cannot unlock the door from the bedroom next to Family Rm. The adjoining bathroom door can be unlocked some of the time. As you twist the knob to unlock the door you feel a catch (as if there is something in the way) SOME OF THE TIME YOU CAN EVENTUALLY MAKE IT WORK BUT MOST OF THE TIME IT DOES NOT WORK. The door from the laundry room to the garage works fine - so on the first floor out of 6 doors I have 2 door locks that work as they should. Upstairs there are two doors- one to a back balcony and one to a front balcony. At the moment these do not have deadbolt locks - only doorknob locks. The lock on the door to the front balcony works the way it always did but the lock on the back balcony does not work. I have never had a problem locking or unlocking this door. Right now it is unlocked because I cannot turn the locking mechanism on the knob. The mechanism also looks like it has some dents in it like someone used a pair of pliers on it - maybe. When I looked at the outside of the door I noticed that the knob now is not snug against the door - there is a gap between the knob and the house. I am 78, a widow of 1 year and have to walk with a cane. I have tremendous stress in my life since the death of my husband. He did everything for me and I have been in a one year learning curve. I am selling a house in Reno and getting the one in Las Vegas ready to sell. I cannot deal with any more stress. I was a realtor and real estate broker for 20 years. I cannot tell you the number of locks I have dealt with during that time but I can tell you that in my lifetime I HAVE NEVER HAD A JOB AS TERRIBLE AS THIS WHEN IT COMES TO LOCKS! Whenever I have workmen who do such a shoddy job, I have a policy of not allowing them to fix it. Usually if you do, you still end up with a less than perfect outcome. The keying of 8 doors cost me $271.81 - high for a good job - ridiculous for a terrible job. $63.00 for service call - $70.00 ($10.00 each for 7 doors in the column for "open home/business/car) - $144.00 to re-key cylinders a 20% discount on labor of $21.40 - $15.00 for 6 keys and $1.21 tax for a total of $271.81. I understand from phone calls I have made that this job should have cost me about $135.00 and no more. When I called to complain the lady said she would send the man back tomorrow (Thurs.) but I said I did not want the same man to come back so they were going to send another man. I have mauled this over and I cannot allow them to send anyone. I think this was a terrible job from start to finish and I want it over. I have hired another Angie's list locksmith to come today and redo the job. After having another locksmith complete the work they told me several other locks did not have internal core removed. Parts were left in which will allow the old keys or even a stick to access the home.

He showed up on time, and swapped out both the dead bolt locks and the knob locks with new equipment. This was done at a place that had been abandoned and there was damage where someone had kicked a door in. He fixed that damage, and now I have very nice, smoothly operating locks on all outdoor doors.

They were punctual and nice.

I was supposed to be credited with the amount I paid for the "deal", but this was no deal. Even with the discount for what I had pre-paid, the locksmith charged me about 50% more than the regular locksmith I had been using. The "deal" was no bargain.

Very pleased with their service. Knowledgeable and explained their work in detailed. Would definitely use again.

It didn't.. When the service person arrived he looked at the locks and said because they were 2 different brands they could not be keyed the same.. that I would have to replace either the Gate knob and bolt lock or the house doors. Price quoted first was almost $300. We decided to leave the locks as is. A few minutes later the service person returned with a lower price quote to do the job..which we did not take. If when I had made the appointment they would have inquired as to what type/make of door knobs I had..they could have saved a trip and I could have received a refund since they were unable to provide the service I paid for. I guess they figured they might get a higher priced service out of the appt. ..kind of a bate and switch type deal by not asking about my locks at the time the appt. was made.

Buyer beware!!! This is what the deal looks like on Angie's List: "Here's the Deal: $29 for a locksmith service call Valid for labor only (discounted pricing available from service provider) Example services include: new keys; installing deadbolts; re-keying existing locks Includes home lock and security inspection" But when they got to our home, they said that it would cost $45 PER lock and since we had two locks on each door x 3 doors = $270. And we bought all our own locks, so this isn't a deal at all!!! We always use Angie's list for the deals so we know how to read the fine print, the $45 per lock is no where on the deal! (Better update that because it's false advertisement) I had someone else that can so ALL the locks in my home for less than $100. What a rip off this company is. I asked for a refund.... Let's see if they'll give back my $29....

They were prompt and the work was completed quickly. However, I misread the "big deal" and thought the $29 would cover the cost of the service (which took about 15 minutes). However, it was only for a service call...the 15 minutes of work cost an additional $19. I probably could have called a different locksmith and gotten the work done without a service call. But I'm happy the problem is fixed.
