+ -1 moreI have submitted a claim and they refuse to respond. They claims lady quit and I have never heard back. They sent a person to review all the damaged furniture in Georgia but thta company has never followed up earlier. Consservatively, they lost approx. $4000 worth of art and other stuff. And damaged the closk and other furniture, and now won't respond. I will send them a deman letter this week an then have to sue them in small claims court. It has been a terrible experience.
Description of Work: We engaged them to move our house to Georgia. They came in lower than Graebal and we felt that since it was an affiliate of United/Mayflower, it would be fine. But we were wrong. The sales guy tells you that they have a full replacement value, blah blah blah. The painting that he commented on that he liked, never showed up, along with many other items. They packed a crystal lamp with a computer printer which is completely chipped. Instead of boxing up the grandfather clock, they just threw it in. The scales broke off in transit and the clock no longer works. They just wanted to e done and were just throwing stuff wherever. Most of the stuff, they just left in the boxes that I had already packed. They are supposed to give you a detailed list of the contents that are being moved. The paperwork is illigible and just say things like "Kitchen".

+ -1 moreTheir price was average, all the movers were within a few dollars of each other. They tracked grease onto white carpet in 7 or 8 spots. They dented the walls that I ultimately had to paint, however i did have a painter coming in right behind them. Their favorite comment was "whoops, sorry about that" and they refused to bring one of the pieces upstairs because they felt that it wouldn't come up stairs. I managed to get it upstairs with someone else. They also dented a hutch and they noted it on the report, but no one has yet called. I felt they were careless.
Description of Work: A Action Movers moved furniture from one house to another.

+ -1 moreIt went better than I could have expected. The movers were prompt, fast, friendly and upbeat. With moving being such a stressful day, they took extra care to be happy and also took very good care of all of my things. Nothing was scratched or broken.
Description of Work: Movers disassembled and reassembled furniture, loaded the truck, and unloaded the truck from two different locations.

+ -1 moreThe move went very well. The two men showed up on time and got to work quickly. I had packed clothes, towels, and linens in plastic garbage bags before I decided to hire movers. When I called to schedule the move I was told everything had to be in taped boxes but the movers were able to move all of the trash bags since it was such a short distance. I will never move myself again! Even though it cost more than renting my own truck, these guys knew exactly what they were doing and had all of the useful tools (hand cart, straps for furniture, pads/mats).
Description of Work: I moved from a two-bedroom, two-bathroom 1st floor condo to a three-bedroom, two-bathroom single story house approximately 15 minutes away. I was mostly concerned with moving furniture and heavy boxes. No appliances were moved. I was scheduled the 4 hour minimum plus 30 minutes for travel time but the entire move took less than 3 hours.

Description of Work: Same-day scheduling. Moving a large bedroom(pretty heavy stuff)plus more of the same. One trip only...and everything worked just fine.

+ -1 moreThey were great. Their price was at least $30 cheaper than an estimate from another company for the same job. Two of the movers that came were super nice, clean and polite. It was just my daughter and I and they were very helpful. Nothing was broken, they were very careful with all the items. I was really pleased with them!

+ -1 moreA Action Movers did an excellent job of moving us. Our stuff filled up the back of the truck and they made our entire move in one trip. They were able to finish our entire move in about five to six hours. They were very helpful and listened really well. They put everything exactly where we asked them to. My husband took care of the bill, so I am not sure what they charged.
Description of Work: They moved all of our belongings during a local move.
