A & E ROOFING

Description of Work: I didn't realize that this deal was for a specific company and ended up using somebody else. A & E Roofing actually reached out to me today to set up an appointment and I told them I already had the work done. They seemed confused. Totally my fault for the error.

Description of Work: On 9/8/2014 I purchased a roof repair deal from, A&E Roofing, of Angie's List. I requested a service date, as per your site, and heard nothing. After a week, I called A&E they alleged they didn't know the special was still running, but we scheduled the work for 9/26/2014. No show and no call from A&E. I will try to find another contractor, so I'm requesting a refund of $149.00 from Angie's List. Thanks [Member Name Removed].

Description of Work: Called them out for a tuneup on my roof since I found a section of tile that had broken, causing a leak. They fixed the leak, replaced the tile and checked and re-sealed all penetrations and ridge lines.

Description of Work: A&E Roofing, wow, great job. First day, pressure washed entire house and caulked all windows, repaired cracks in stucco. The next 2 day was painting and trim work with elastomeric paint. I am so impressed, and no flaws or mistakes. Very rare to find contractors in Vegas that don't need constant supervision and don't screw things up. And I've already gave A&E word of mouth recommendations to friends and real estate people. 10 out of 10

Description of Work: Repaired several roof leaks. Initial inspection proved to show several problem areas in roof. Areas were repaired and broken tiles were replaced. They spent two days repairing the damaged areas and appeared to be very thorough.

Description of Work: Bought the $149 roof tune up, after their inspection they determined that many more tiles and vent were damaged which increased the expense. Work was done timely and completely as explained by contractor.

Description of Work: When Jack came out to do the "roof tuneup," etc., he was very thorough - he took many pics and told us exactly what needed repair and what didn't. The house is almost 20 years old, so I knew the roof probably needed some work. Work was done professionally and efficiently. The crew also cleaned up below after they blew pine needles/leaves off the roof. Fair price for work performed.

Description of Work: I bought the $149.00 roof "tune up" advertised on Angie's list. It took awhile for us to setup a time for A & E Roofing to come out and inspect the roof. (This was not their fault, one or both of us where busy.) When they did come out and inspect the roof I was told that we needed much more work than was covered by the $149.00 special that I paid for through Angie's list. There were things like my tile was no longer manufactured and my roof was not draining correctly ect... I was informed and that they would get back with a quote to fix all the problems. I received a quote about a week later for over $1700.00 that said nothing about the $149.00 that I had already paid. |That seemed a little much so I call 2 other top rated roofers from Angie's List and received free bids from both. One for $400.00 and one for $370.00. The work was completed for $370.00 and the company did a great job. |A & E Roofing was way over priced and their $149.00 "Tile Roof Tune Up" was nothing more than a quote that you can get for free from a reputable company. I guess I can chock up the $149.00 "Angie's List special" to experience. Some parts of Angie's List are "reviews you can trust" people giving honest opinions of work that has been preformed. Other parts are the fact that Angie's List is a business that needs to make money through advertising and charging vendors to run specials. (I was hoping that like consumer reports, the yearly fee would cover the costs with running their company. But I guess cash is king!) |Angie's List has its place but use caution when paying for anything up front from anyone! |

Description of Work: They inspected roof of my rental home, reported their findings to me, gave an estimate for different types of repair/remediation, did work punctually and quickly, call me throughout process, had good communication with my tenant and reported completion.

Description of Work: Inspected the roof. Fixed tiles and sealed foor penetrations. Did a good job but had to call several times to get them to respond.

Description of Work: Jack at A & E Roofing performed inspection per Angie's List purchased a few months earlier. He was thorough and when finished he showed me photos of roof tiles, letting me know that the roof was in great condition except for 3 tiles that needed to be replaced. The tiles were replaced on 6/6/14 at a very reasonable cost. He was professional, friendly, and trustworthy, which is why I use Angie's List providers. I would use A & E services again in the future as needed.
