Lester did an excellent job. Not only did he restore the vacuum to like-new condition, but he did so very promptly(faster than we could get to the other side of town to pick it up). The vacuum works very well now, and it looks good, too. I think Lester even waxed or polished the vacuum's cord, because it looks entirely new. I am VERY grateful that I didn't have to trash this vacuum. That was definitely worth the price to me. It was also worth the drive from Summerlin all the way over to East Tropicana to get the vacuum repaired well.

I have an old Hoover upright Encore, the kind with an outer canvas-type bag over the inner bag. I foolishly forgot to change the inner bag, and when I finally did change it, dirt spilled into the outer bag, contaminating it. As a result, dust was coming out of the vacuum vents into the air! Yuck. I went to or called a couple of places before finding this one. In the course of my investigation, I discovered that the game is to tell customers that they should "trade in" their old vacuum cleaner for a new one. I'm stubborn and don't like to throw anything out if it can be repaired, which is why I was happy to find Lester at the E. Tropicana branch of this store. Lester did the job within an hour (while I went shopping nearby) and even cleaned the outside of the vacuum cleaner till it was shiny. He threw in a new inner bag (better quality than the one I had) and a belt (the old one was shot). He thoroughly serviced the old vacuum and now it runs great. He saved me a lot of money and did his part in keeping the landfills from overflowing. A word about new purchases: I've had the experience of buying a new vacuum at small stores like this one, and I would do it again (if I HAD TO by a new one). Usually a small store will assemble the machine for you and service it both within the warranty period and after. You get way better service from a small shop than from a dept store. (Just my take.) Be sure to ask for Lester if you use All Discount.
