TruGreen Lawn Care - 5128

The sales rep going around the neighborhood lied to other neighbors telling them that some of the neighbors had signed up for their lawn service. the statement was not true at all. the sales rep should be careful in what he is telling others.

I used TruGreen in the past, but I was not very satisfied with them. It has been several years since I used them. Their price included not only the yard, but the shrubs. I did not have a very good experience with them. The yard was terrible. The plants were not healthy. I paid $500 extra for my shrubs. My neighbor did not have the service and theirs look better than ours. Their professionalism was not very good.

Went fine. They came when they were scheduled and applied the fertilizer.

First I wasn't signed up after agreeing to the service and giving my credit card to prepay for a year. I had to call back 3 times before I was finally signed up. The weeds came back so I called for a retreat, I was told they would be out within 3 business days. 5 days later I called and was told a manager would call me back. 4 days later I still haven't received a call. 2 weeks later they finally came out to retreat. I will never again use Trugreen.

Olives fell all over my driveway all year.What a mess !!! True Green offered $25 off next year. Did not and will not use again.

Said that they don't cut grass. So they were not able to help me with my yard. I told them that I got the name from Angie's List. I scheduled and he didn't show up.

I called on Oct 8th for aeration of my lawn. However, I was told sales would have to call me back to set it up. They never did (red flag#1). So I called them again on Oct 9th. I was directed straight to a sales. The salesman talked me into pre paying up front because it was a great discount. Due to it being Thursday, a technician wouldn?t be able to get to my house any earlier than the following week Wed the 15th. They would be in contact early in the week to set up the appointment. I never heard anything, so on Wed I called the office. The office girl apologized and informed me she sent the paperwork over with priority on it. She also called the Las Vegas office to let the manager know someone dropped the ball. She told me they would get with me on Thursday morning with my scheduled service time. At 2 pm Thursday, I still had zero contact with the office to schedule my service. I called the corporate office again, this time the office girl referred me to a general manger in Ca. General Manger (Marc) called me said all the right things and had talked to the service manager in Las Vegas. He promised me I would receive a call Friday morning with the time of service. At noon Friday, still no call. I called Marc back, but he declined to take my call. Instead he sent an email rather than man up and take control of the situation. He claims he talked with the Las Vegas office and they would make things right. 3 pm still no call from them. They could of cared less that I was unable to plan anything while I waited on their call. The bottom line is this is a corporate company that does not care about customer service. Once they have your money, they?ll perform the service when they feel like it.. DO NOT HIRE THIS SHAM LAWN COMPANY! Stay with the mom and pop companies. In 22 years of home ownership, I?ve never been treated like this. All they want is your money. It?s virtually impossible to talk with the actual local office. In the end, I asked for a refund. Of course as I was canceling my service, I was notified it scheduled for the afternoon. It would have been nice to know that. I doubt that getting my refund will be any easier. At this point I wanted no part of this company touching my property.

My husband and I rent a home and the lawn suddenly went from lush and lovely to brown patches and dying. Our landlord recommended TruGreen so we contacted them. I talked to the corporate offices and they arranged for quarterly service and for someone from their local office to come and spray the lawn. I told them we only needed the front lawn as the back lawn was great. They said it was all part of the service. The lawn (front and back) was sprayed. Within two weeks our backyard lawn was dying. All of one section of it was completely dead and brown by the end of that first quarter. When the employee came for the second quarter, I talked with him about my concern for the backyard and that the front lawn had only improved slightly. He told me the lawn needed a gypsum treatment which would cost $100 and that if the backyard didn't come back by the next quarterly visit, they would reseed it. In the meantime, I received a survey from TruGreen Corporate which I completed indicated less than satisfaction for the service. The corporate office called me immediately and said they would have the local supervisor call me which he did. I told him about my concerns and he said that they would make sure the technician was aware and stayed on top of it. The front lawn continued to deteriorate and the backyard did not improve in anyway. In fact, it got worse. Before the third quarterly visit, I contacted corporate and told them I wanted to discontinue service. They had a manager call me and then the another local supervisor called and came right over. I showed him my concerns in the front yard. He said it was due to over watering which had caused a fungus. Then I showed him the devastated backyard and he said the same thing. I asked if that wasn't what they were supposed to be doing and that if there had been a problem pointed out they should have been able to advise me as to what they would do to fix it? He told me their employee was fairly new when he was assigned our property and he would take care of having the backyard reseeded in May and speak to the technician. He gave me his card and told me to call him if that didn't get done. I called him in May because nothing had been scheduled and the message I got was that the cell phone number was not accepting calls. I then called the local office and the phone just rang without an answer or message. I then called the corporate office. The woman I spoke to put me on hold, called the local office, and then got back to me that she had gotten through and they would have a manager call me within 24 hours. After three days of not hearing from them, I called corporate and terminated my services. The TruGreen Corporation is very professional and has an excellent computerized system which is easily Internet accessible. Unfortunately, the local office does not appear to be professional at all and is a poor representative of the corporation. Our front yard has continued to deteriorate and some areas are completely dead. We are trying to fix it ourselves, but will definitely use Angies List to find another service provider soon.

Terrible customer service. Difficult to contact anyone. If you do, unhelpful and don't actually do what they say.

They are holding up with their service. After every service they did, they give me a note of what they did and their recommendations for follow ups. They saved my lawn. My lawn looked pretty bad last year and now it improved immensely.

I hired this company for a one-shot event. Spray weeds. Once. An agent came to the location and sprayed the weeds. He said the company made a mistake and set me up for weekly service and he would correct it. I have been harassed and hounded by this company ever since. The company makes phone calls all day and all night. The phone calls always come exactly when I have just finally fallen asleep after a hard day. They want to know why I discontinued the service. I explained to them that I never ordered a regular service and I have told the agents many times over to never dial my number again. The phone calls keep coming. About 10 in just the past 2 weeks. Every time I tell them to never dial my number again. This company is a total nightmare.

They are okay. They may be a little expensive but all lawn services are. It keeps the lawn healthy and keeps the weeds down. They are probably as good as anybody that does that kind of service. I don't like putting chemicals on myself and for somebody to do it for me they do as good a job as anybody else. I might be able to find someone that is cheaper but they might not know as much. They have people on staff that are college trained in that field so they know what to use. Otherwise you are dealing with people that don't have the training. They will send out a card in the mail saying when they will be here unless it rains and they have always been here on that day.

I am completely satisfied with the treatments that TruGreen does on my yard. I have them fertilize my yard. The price is little high but they do a great job and are on time when they schedule with you.

My experience was excellent. Their price was very reasonable compared to other companies. I liked their professionalism. They know their job very well and my plants are growing very green and good.

Products must be bad. Failure to let me know they were coming and I have dogs which must be put away. Failure to return phone calls. Failure to come and look at lawn when requested. Received lots of calls trying to sell additional services. Disaster

DO ask TruGreen to remove your phone number from their call list or they'll never stop calling you.

I have been using since August 2012, my grass was dying and roses were sick looking, I then made an appointment they showed and checked out the problem. They come now as part of routine to make sure that yard is always in good shape. I love the work that they do and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I would not use them again.

I'm not sure about their products, the only thing they've done for me so far is spray insecticide. What's utterly terrible is their scheduling. They can't figure out when they'll be here. One time they tell me they are going to be here and i leave the keys for my backyard and they don't show up because it looked like it would rain. Fine. they show up next week without informing me and I find a note that they could not do the back as it was locked. I re-schedule, leave the keys out for them and nobody shows up. What they are extremely punctual about is charging my credit card (they get an "excellent" rating for that). Find somebody better.

TruGreen – Henderson weren’t doing their job and I had issues with that. I called the guy and he came out and when I told him what my problem was he put something down and left; what he put down doesn’t treat that. After this I had spoken to him three times and after the third time I just called the office and said I am cancelling their service. They didn’t take care of what I wanted them to do so I ordered the stuff and sprayed it myself. I will not be using them again in the future.

My grass had a few brown spots so I contracted TruGreen to service the lawn. After 3 months of service, half of my grass is dead. It took several attempls to get the maintaince manger to come out and inspect the yard. Several reasons were given for the dead greass: rabbits, not proper watering, etc.which were checked out and none were valid. The manger offered to reseed the lawn in September. I would have thought the person servicing the lawn would do something about the grass dying. I even brought it to his attention and all I got was excuses. TruGreen has been servicing my trees and shrubs for a couple of years and I have no complaints with that service. But I am devasted over my dead lawn.

Trugreen treated our yard for 5-7 months in the summer of 2010 but we could see no improvement. They came back to retreat a couple of times, willingly, but their treatments were ineffective. Their phone people were always very pleasant and helpful, which was nice, as were their truck operators, but the lawn showed no improvement. We handled our own lawn last year, during the drought, and the yard 'perked' up! We are handling it again this year and it is doing well. We were hopeful that the yard would be healthy and vibrant with Trugreen but we were disappointed. They show up, spray a little, and are gone before you know it. They are always calling and trying to 'up sell' other services when you employ them (aeration, flower beds, 'special' lawn treatments, etc.) and that gets OLD! One time two Trugreen guys came to the door after I had complained about weak spots in the lawn showing ZERO improvement, after months of treatments, and when I saw them I thought Trugreen was being responsive and would help. When I answered the door I found that they were trying to 'sell' me on treatment of our Crepe Mertles! I took them out to the lawn, showed them the problem I had complained about, etc., but it was obvious they had no interest. Their interest was solely to 'sell' more programs. In fairness, a neighbor has used them for years, doesn't water at all, and their yard looks good 'from a distance'. I haven't gotten up close and checked it out. Sometimes a yard full of weeds can look good from a distance if it is kept mowed.

After making it clear multiple times that gates needed to be unlocked in order to deliver service which required our presence at the house, Trugreen rarely ever complies with time windows or dates of arrival they committed to through mail or voice mail. More irritating...the impact on our lawn...and trees and shrubs was neglible. In some case both the lawn and shrubs got worse.

They are timely. They tell us they are going to be there at a certain time and they are they. They schedule us yearly. They let us know that they are coming. Everything was good about them except billing and I had a hard time with them. The person I talked to representing the company was very obnoxious. I was just disappointed with their billing and whatever service. The prices are extremely fair.

I would recommend TruGreen - Henderson. We have been using them for about three years. I will continue to use them in the future.
