Today's Energy Store

Excellent company! We had a residential solar system installed in 2014. We started having problems this year with reduced production, and any rain would knock the system offline for several days, up to a week or two. The company we used was one of the many fly-by-night companies that flooded the valley during the solar boom. Like most, the company went bust. We had a great warranty, but the warranty doesn’t do much good if the company is long gone. Many of our neighbors had solar systems installed after ours and they all used Today’s Energy Store. They are all very satisfied with their systems and recommended we contact Today’s Energy Store for potential repair. Today’s Energy Store also has a second company, Solar RX, that is dedicated to system repairs. Mark, the owner, came out to evaluate the problem and came out two more times to discuss repair options. The wiring on our roof was a mess and many of the connectors had failed. One option Mark offered was to repair the wiring problems they could find, but we would most likely have continued problems in the future. A second option was to replace all the wiring and convert our DC system to AC, which is more efficient, by installing micro converters on the panels and removing the large inverter in our garage. That is the option we selected and had four additional panels installed at the same time since the original installer undersized our system. The price for the conversion and additional panels was fair and the panels that Today Energy Store sells, Sun Powe, are a much higher quality than the cheaper Trina panels that our original installer used. After Solar RX completed the repairs, they found that some of our panels were not producing, and others were producing very little electricity. Mark did some research and found that Trina had problems with panels they sold during the period when our system was installed. Solar RX sent a technician out on three separate occasions to take pictures, get serial numbers and document output readings. Solar RX contacted Trina, confirmed our panels were still within the manufactured warranty period, filed a warranty claim on our behalf, provided all the documentation and pictures and persuaded Trina to replace all 36 of our original panels. The effort Solar RX expended to have Trina replace our panels under warranty was amazing. Trina replaced the panels but would not cover that install costs. Solar RX installed the 36 new panels for a very reasonable cost. When all was said and done, we ended up with an entirely new, much more efficient system, with additional capacity, for a very fair price. We couldn’t be happier with the service provide by Solar RX. Kudos to Mark, the owner, who came out to explain the problems and solutions and helped with the work; Justin the technician that we worked with on multiple occasions who is the consuamte professional, friendly, very knowledgeable of solar systems and a very hard worker; and Lynne the Project Manager who worked with us diligently by phone and email, answered all of our questions and quickly responded to concerns. We highly recommend Today’s Energy Store / Solar RX to anyone that is considering installing a solar system or has a system that needs repairs.

Bill went above and beyond in explaining what needed to be done, how it was going to be done, and how it would affect my heating and cooling as well as my energy bill. Bill answered all my questions as well as explained everything in detail. Whenever I do any type of home-improvement, I research 3 to 4 companies/contractors... Today's Energy Store went above and beyond, and I would definitely use them again.

Today's Energy Store has performed other services in the past so when I asked them to refer me to another company, I didn't hesitate when they said the now have a line of windows that they are proud to carry. The crew was punctual and professional throughout the process! They cleaned up after themselves leaving barely a trace of their work. These windows are fantastic quality while still being very reasonably priced. We only did two windows that are part of a remodel but, they operate so smoothly and most important, will now block the heat from getting in/out and drafts that were experienced before that we will be scheduling replacement of the balance.

We were extremely impressed with Bill and his crew. Bill's initial inspection of our attic - we have an older home, so it had a lot of air leaks and basically no insulation to speak of - was thorough. That being the case, we thought the cost of the work was extremely reasonable given everything that was done. The work crew came on time and completed the job professionally. Our air conditioner is already starting to run more efficiently and we would use this provider again for a full home energy audit and/or solar panels.

They were very nice. The showed up on time, and everything was clean. They had to go up in the attic and it was no problem. I would tell others they shouldn't have a problem if they use them.

I really liked working with and talking to Bill who handles the insulation side of the business. He was a down to earth guy who took the time to answer all of my questions. He was on time, very professional and actually responds to emails in a timely manner. Their price was competitive with other quotes I received for the same job. The only reason we went with another provider was a time issue where we needed the job done ASAP. This was not on them at all, we were just in a rush and didn't want to wait 2 weeks. I deal with a lot of providers and this will be the first company on my list for insulation in the future, and I'm hard to impress!

This was a wonderful experience. I had previously used this company for attic insulation and an energy audit. I was impressed with that job and am also impressed with the Solar Electrical system we had installed. It appears to be operating in excess of 80% efficiency and we will probably go to net zero and build credits on our electrical bills in October, 2014. Today's Energy Store is a small local company with professional employees and equipment. They do not sub contract their work out to other companies and their employees are full time, not temporary help. A check of Clark County Record's indicates that this company is not involved in litigation, such as mechanic's liens or lawsuits. This tells me that they do the work promised and don't have trouble being paid, as was true of our experience.

The final energy audit indicated an energy savings of approximately 25% would be achieved. Our first indication of improvements was a drastic reduction in our electrical usage for air conditioning. The insulation in the attic provided noise deadening and eliminated hot and cold spots throughout the house. The energy audit revealed our doors and windows to be quite energy efficient, with the exception of the laundry room door into the garage. This audit pointed out a potentially dangerous situation with fumes from the garage entering the house. This was remedied by adjusting the threshold to provide a positive seal. Today's Energy Store is a small, local company with proper equipment and highly trained personnel. A review of Clark County Recorder's records indicates a company free of litigation.

Everything worked out really well. I felt that they were honest and their prices were competitive. We saved on costs with rebates. They were very responsive. The quality was really good.

They came over on June 19 and did the work described above. It took them two days and everything went well. Bill was over several times while his team was working and he was great at answering all the questions we had. They were considerate of the house and cleaned up afterwards. Everything is great!! The fans are working perfectly and the house is sooooo much cooler now with that great insulation. We are now considering having them install some solar panels. Great guys, great materials and great quality. I would use them again in a heartbeat!!!!

We began this process through Energy Fit Nevada. They "assigned" Today's Energy Store to do the work. An initial Energy Audit occurred and a complete report was made identifying several energy deficiencies in our 20 year old home. The deficiencies included an old HVAC, almost no insulation in the attic, several air leaks between the attic and main floor, and an inefficient pump for our pool. We agreed to have these four critical items repaired and began the work. The first thing we did was replace the old HVAC followed by sealing the attic air leaks and then had additional insulation blown into the attic, followed by installing a new variable speed pool pump. The work involved other contractors (HVAC and Pool Pump) as well as Today's Energy Store employees. All appointments were met on time as scheduled and the work was professionally done in workmanlike manner. The most notable improvement is the additional insulation in the attic. Our home is noticably quieter and we have not run the air conditioner as much as we normally would have for this time of year. The variable speed pool pump is much quieter also. Today's Energy Store was great to work with and provided a great service to our quality of life and our wallet.

I received (3) bids for the solar project. I chose Today's Energy Store because of price and the most solar panels for the money invested in this project. They were professional from start to finish. The Westinghouse products were made in the U.S. and that was important to me. My NV Energy bill for 14 days was $55.07 for July 9 to July 23. The solar panels generated enough electric power to fully cover the remaining costs. I am very pleased with Today' Energy Store installation.T

I called Todays Energy Store and asked for a demonstrationof the Health Pro Plus that filters 1,000 square feet of air. Ed Trott brought the unit to my home and demonstrated it. I liked it and purchased it. Ed called me the next day to determine if the unit reduced my allergies. My allergies were reduced to the extent that I could breathe through my nose again.. The fan speed above the setting of 3 or 4 would not be good for a bedroom. I have the speed at 4 in the front room and it is just fine.
