The Laundry Room is 111 sq.ft. The Lowe's estimate came in at $1,239.00. We paid for the estimate on a Friday, May 2, 2014 ($35.00). The estimate was done on Monday; but we didn't get the actual figure until Thursday. We went to R.C. Willey's on the same Friday. We got an estimate in-store that day. We had a physical estimate the next day (no charge); and we were given the final total on Monday of $498.00. We did get estimates from both on about 1,000 sq.ft. of carpeting; and both Lowe's and R.C. Wiley's were in the same ballpark. We, however, went with R.C. Willey's for both jobs, since Lowe's price for the vinyl floor was so far off the mark. They were 2 1/2 times the price. Their price came out to $11.16 per sq. ft. or $100.46 per sq. yd. ... FOR VINYL!!!

Outstanding process. Answered every question I had. I did much homework and shopped around. Surprisingly, the specialty carpet stores where not as forthcoming (if at all) as Lowes with answers to my questions about carpet (e.g. pile density, height, twist) as I narrowed my selection. Had two follow up calls from Lowes, one after payment and before installation telling me all about the process and answering any questions I had. Second call was 2 days after the install for a follow up. The installer was Eclipse Flooring, a contractor for Lowes (I reviewed them as well). I suggest do some homework on carpet in general to get a sense of what type you want as there are SO MANY types. There are some great web sites to visit and read.

The installer was prompt and very professional. It took about 1 hour to do the actual installation, and he was able to use all my prewiring so the job looked very neat. He ensured I knew how to use the functions of the remotes and wall mount unit. I am very pleased with the service he provided.

Overall, the process went well. We had a few glitches. Don't want to focus on the negative, but if you're considering putting in these countertops, consider the sink. I opted for the free 60/40 solid surface split sink (and I'm very happy with it). However, I didn't find out till the day of install (too late!) that due to my 50/50 sink pre-plumbing I had to have my disposal installed on the larger sink. Not the end of the world, but it took away a preference. So, had the salesperson advised me, I may have made a different sink choice. Anyway, all the little things that were issues were addressed quickly and correctly.

They had to come back because there had been crushing on the carpet because it had been rolled to long but they came back and repaired it.

Dishwasher was installed with no problem; though installed crooked. The stove top however, needed to have the tile cut to fit. (The installer said he didn't need to come out and measure; that it will probably fit). It said on my paperwork that the installers were to make any adjustments to make the stove top fit in the space, but the installers said that they don't do that. They connected the power to the stove top and then set the stove top on the counter and left. My husband and I cut the tile a day later, and I called to have the installers come back. Two different installers were sent (at my request) and they installed the stove top, but didn't do the exhaust fan test. They were polite, but barely.

Doing business with Lowe's on this job was the best deal we have had in a very long time. The sales people were helpful and honest, giving us a huge discount on the purchase, and the installation. The technician was on time, nice, and finished in less than an hour. The total cost was less than half of every other place we called, and the opener has worked perfectly.

The carpet was installed in a newly built home, so the bare floors had to be treated first. There were quite a few workmen to do the job, so it did not take that long. They did a very good job with most of it, except where the family and living rooms connect. There is a small seem showing, but it is only noticeable if we point it out to people. Considering the price, we are happy with the results.

Lowe's has been a great company to work with. The problem that we have been experiencing is not with them it is with the manufacture. Lowe's has stood behind this product and that is hard to find in a company. They came to install this door and it was missing parts so they ended up taking the door back. The second door that they tried to install had damaged windows and the third door was not the color that I had ordered. The fourth time that they tried to install it the packaging had broke the fiberglass framing. Lowe's has been so good to me on this. They now have dropped the cost of the door and are giving it to me at cost. They also told me that if I wanted anything else done in my kitchen, they would give me an extra ten percent off. I swear by Lowe's service.

Lowes didn't do a good job of installing our carpet at all. The carpet looked as if they had just laid it on the floor without any padding underneath it. I would never use them again. I feel the crew that they sent out was not qualified to do this type of work at all.
