Express Vanline has processed customers with the utmost quality service for their moves. We are members of AMSA (American Moving and Storage Association), and D&B (Dun & Bradstreet). Please make sure you check Moving Companies Information with WWW.FMCSA.DOT.GOV. You will see we have no complaints and we are in compliance with all of our Cargo Insurance and Licenses. We are building a great rapport with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) for our upcoming review in November of 2011. Currently we do not have any customer complaints and process over two hundred moves a month. Companies may have an A, B or C Rating, but please view the complaints they may have, or use your Google search engine and see what other customers say about other companies; you will be surprised. The company didn't call- they just arrived late and started at noon in the 2 day window they gave me. The guy quickly told me the packing prices weren't included and they would be considerable- there were charges for stairs, charges for "heavy" items- and to do a mattress was 100 per mattress..and a tv would be 150...etc. Of course I freaked out- and said I would only pay 6000. which was half again as much as the original estimate. He told me he would settle on 6500. Things started out fine with the packing- but the guys he hired from the local temporary job agency could only work until 5- and they left. Then, the guy he brought with him from Las Vegas, who he had been treating like a slave (sleeping in the back of the truck--humiliating him, etc) quit. At around 1 am- it was just him and one other die-hard temp helper. The guy who quit was begging us to help him find a way back to Las Vegas. We asked the manager for some ID and some personal card or something, which they wouldn't give. I called the cops and told them the story, and they said there was nothing they could do- except they did come over and ask the guy some questions and filled out a report. My partner and I had to start packing up our furniture and pictures and helping them carry, because they were just dragging stuff around at this point. By 3 am they had run out of padding, and were just throwing stuff on the truck. They ran out of room, and told us they couldn't come back for the rest. After getting to bed at 4:30 am, we had to get up early the next day and rent a uhaul to try and fit the rest of the stuff on- and start our 3 day drive with 2 cats. We didn't realize they had also broken the granite counter top, which the new owners settled on an 800 dollar repair fee, thank God! The uhaul and counter cost us an extra 1600 total, on top of the 6500. We paid over twice the original estimate given to us from Neighbors, and had the most horrible moving experience imaginable (baring a natural disaster). What ever you do--hire a respectable moving company that may tell you more in the beginning---but they will treat you and your things with the respect you are paying for.
Description of Work: This company was subcontracted through the company I hired without my knowledge (neighbors moving and storage), who were hired to wrap and box my photos, to wrap my furniture, and to pack it onto a semi and drive it to seattle. The original estimate was a little over 4000.00
