If I could give a zero star, I would. The Management company that I am currently employed under retained their services for an a/c call. The resident is a 95 year old lady. Carl's left her apartment with no a/c and no follow up with the management office. I found out via an angry call from the residents daughter. The manager at Carls was completely unapologetic for the lack of follow up and responded with "we told you guys 2 years ago that your a/c's was trash". That had nothing to do with the complete lack of regard as a "professional" company today. As the Property Manager I raised my voice, but frankly, I have a right to. I have and will defend my residents. We are paying for a service that was left unresolved , with a resident shouting at us. Any Property Manager looking to retain Carls as a contractor should run...and run fast. BTW...on Google, they attempted to threaten me if I didn't take the review down. I didn’t take the review down, and they got me fired as a Property Manager. So expect bad service, but don’t complain or it will cost you a job.

Part was under warranty. But they charge $2500 for 2 hours of labor. Why? Because it is hot and we live behind a gate. Total gouge, dishonest and dirty. DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS

Reyes and his crew got here early and started right in replacing both units. Got the units in tested and checked out with no problems. I have been with Carls for over 20 years and have never had any problems and will stay with them.

Billie called and said he was on his way. Got here on time went right to work found the problem with the heater fixed it in no time. I hope he got to see the Pats game. I will always call Carl's for my heating and air condition work.

Gabriel went out to the compressor found the problem. Changed out 2 parts and checked the freon.

The entire staff at Carls from top to bottom was nothing short of amazing to work with. I had them come out to give me a quote (on friday) and on Monday they were putting in my new AC unit. I had 8 different companies quote me and Carl's was far from the most expensive, but also wasn't the cheapest. The thing that did it for me, was their professionalism and communication. I hope I never have to replace another air conditioner, but if I do, I'll be calling Carls!

It seemed the agent on the phone didn't want to come out to our village despite being listed by Angie's as available and despite the company's website claiming to service the "surrounding areas" of the cities it listed. In creepy tones of warning the agent emphasized how much it would cost us, even if we didn't want this or that part. Who does that? In fact the quoted price was out of line--twice what the company we finally chose charges--a company that Angie's does not list. It was also odd because the workman who called us earlier to get info about our situation seemed enthusiastic about the job.

Not to good, had quotes of $24 & $50 Carl's wanted $70, thanks but no thanks.

Terrible. They responded quickly. Stated I must replace entire condenser coil unit or wait several days and replace drain pan because fitting was proprietary to pan. Min cost :$1500 for pan or $2500 for replacement of condenser coil unit. Frustrated, I called another company. They replaced a plastic fitting for price of service call. Carl's Air Conditioning lied to me in an attempt to unnecessarily cost me over $1500. Shameful!

Our unit went out so we called somebody and they responded.

They arrived on time and replaced my equipment on time and as advertised. Clean up was thorough. The whole replacement took about 6 hours.

They're awesome. We have a service contract with them. They have been very good to us with keeping our air conditioner running. They are very honest. I really say they are honest, a totally honest company. We accidentally paid them twice. We didn't notice. They called us and said, "You paid that bill twice." They were very honest and gave us the money back. I think it would have gone unnoticed. I was not happy about that. They didn't wait until we noticed.

They came over immediately. They were very polite, hard-working, courteous and professionals. Everything was picked up and cleaned after the installation. Susan was very helpful & the new A/C working great. Thanks Carl's A/C

Called on Father's Day, and talked to answering service. They told me someone would contact me. I received a call within 20 minutes, and the technician said he was 30-45 minutes away. He arrived in about 45 minutes and immediately found that the motor on the A/C unit was bad. He quoted a price and said he had a replacement with him. He installed it, checked the coolant levels on both A/C systems and cleaned the coils. Completely done in about two hours. Very professional and helpful in explaining the problem and what can be done to help keep the system running efficiently.

I called on May 23rd and asked for an estimate to have five mini split units installed. To my surprise they sent someone out same day to take a look at what I needed. It was approaching a holiday weekend so I didn't expect to hear back immediately. I called on the 30th and was told that Chris would call me back. I tried again a couple days later, then a few days after that. Finally I called on June 7th and the receptionist told me that Chris was out to lunch, and could he call me back. I informed her that I had already tried that, numerous times and I am out of patience. That if you don't want to do the work you need to let me know. And that I was at a point of just giving up and leaving reviews about my experience. She said she would call Chris on his cell phone for me. Amazingly Chris called me right back. Chris told me he thought Scott had called me a week ago to tell me they can't do the job. I told him that did not happen, and I had left several messages for him, not Scott, as I was told initially it would be Chris doing the estimate. I expressed that it is unacceptable that he is telling me three weeks later that the work was beyond his capabilities. When I told him I was highly frustrated and was going to leave a review where I had found out about Carl's he stated, "review for what, we didn't do any work, there is nothing to review". I told him I'm highly frustrated and could review my experience. He said, whatever, good luck to you, and hung up. This was my very first experience using Angie's List to find a contractor. I am disheartened, to say the least.

I have used Carl's for years, and they are always prompt, competent, professional and friendly. Prices are fair. I would always recommend them.

All jobs went very well. The converted garage is able to stay cool now even with over 30 people in the room for meetings.

Perfect! Middle of summer, came out within 3 hours. Worked for some time to make sure what the problem was. Had the part with him. Very nice person.

They sent a technician out after 6 pm on a Sunday to get my A?C going. They replied to my call within 20 minutes after I spoke to their answering service and arrived 15 minutes later. Georgi their technician was very polite and got down to business quickly, He explained everything and showed me the problem with the broken capacitor. I OK'd the work and he fixed it and accepted the Angie coupon for a 10% discount. I would use them again if needed.

They were very professional, knowledgeable, informative, nice, and honest. The work was great and I'd use them again.
