Very poor followup.

I have A & R came out because of my insurance. I don't have a choice. The American Home Field sent them out. It was a couple of weeks ago. They make the arrangements and they send them out. They checked the AC that didn't run. There was something to be repaired they repaired it and replaced something. They said I needed Freon and the whole thing cost me $240. It was very hot and I had to wait a week before they came. It was 110 degrees here. It is Las Vegas. It was supposed to be $100 but they said I needed something, which these companies always say you need Freon. So, I had to pay $140 extra. The person that came was very good and he was very reliable. I don't think it was their fault because there must have been a lot of broken AC's in the part of the world, you got to wait even if it is very hot. I would give them a B+ but not an A because of the extra charges. I didn't expect to have to pay for that. That gentleman that came was very good.

I originally called Aire Serv which is a A+ rated provider on Angies List to do a $49 per unit "Tune Up" on my 4 AC units. I had a unit that was not getting power and I thought it might be a simple issue such as a breaker switch. I was informed by Aire Serv that I need to replace the whole unit in my Attic as some fan wheel was broken and the main control board was probably fried. The cost was approximately $1300 plus labor. I knew I had a home warranty, so I declined. My home warranty company sent out AR Heating & AC. The technician did an inspection and said I need a new fan wheel. He came back with the part a couple of days later and installed. The unit was not receiving power and he went out to his truck to grab a voltage meter. He reset some switch and the unit was back up and running.

Three weeks ago, a/c went out. Went through warranty company and it took them 4 days to get to us. Receptionist is ridiculously rude. First guy shows up, is useless and says it is fixed. The ac breaks down six hours later. So of course we have to wait another week to get a second guy out. He says the control panel is broken, and the company has to special order it. We got a call today from our warranty company that the ac company has and quot;given upand quot; and they are working on getting us another company to fix the problem. Stay away from this company, they are horrible. If you cannot do the job you are being paid for, go out of business

Great service, great price. Can't say enough good things about William and AR Heating and A/C. Responsive despite being the busiest time of the year for their business. In fact, the techs showed up EARLIER than their estimated time. In 30 minutes we were back to producing cool air. Had all the necessary parts on the truck, reasonably priced. Knowledgeable and fair. Highly recommend !

Representative was very nice. However he simply walked into the bedroom, put his hand over the vent and said there was nothing he could do. We felt like the home warranty company did not want to cover the costs of repair as two other companies offered us solutions. We ended up going with Carl's AC who did a great job for a fair price. We now have cool air in the bedroom.
