Affordable Heating & Cooling

Prior to this service, we used Affordable Heating & Cooling for the installation of a new compressor motor for the same AC system. We are 26-year residents of Henderson, NV, and prior to service performed by Affordable, we had been members of a service contract with a major AC company in Las Vegas for over 20 years. In July of 2012, our AC unit failed and we called our service provider for repairs. Being a "Preferred" customer, we expected to be back in cool air by the next day. 17 days later (YES - 17 DAYS LATER IN THE MIDDLE OF JULY), following many phone calls, unfulfilled promises to fix the system, camping on the family room floor with a portable AC unit, a very hot house (the cooled room never cooled below 88 degrees and the upstairs never dropped below 98 degrees), and ultimately a $1200 repair bill for a failed fan motor - we cancelled services with that well-known provider. Two months later, the compressor failed (as expected) following the recent trauma to the system. That well-know provider predicted this would occur and projected a $3500-$4000 repair cost. I contacted Affordable, who happens to live in my neighborhood, and he had the system repaired within 24 hours at nearly half the cost. Not only that, but he fine-tuned the system by replacing the dryer and added a delay timer to prevent short-cycling to ensure maximum life expectancy of the new compressor. I usually start worrying around July as that is typically when our AC would fail, but the last two years were uneventful. It is now the summer of 2015, Affordable just cleaned the coils for $50, and I have absolutely no worries that our home will stay cool when July hits. Aaron Shoemaker is the owner of Affordable and is our neighbor. He has earned the business of all his neighbors in the immediate vicinity because of his honorable work ethic, high quality workmanship, customer service, integrity, and fair pricing. I will never use another major or name-brand AC company again as long as we live here - NEVER. I recommend that you do the same. He did a great job and everything is working fine. There were a couple of things that needed to be checked and he was very thorough. He also followed up to make sure everything was in order. He was very professional and I would highly recommend him.
