I recently had the traumatic necessity to down-size from a 4 bedroom house to a two bedroom apartment. I went on Angie's List and found "ACT 3 ESTATE SALES LLC". The company is out of Henderson, Nevada and services the Greater Las Vegas Area. I called the service and spoke to the Owner/Manager, Jayanne Courser, and was immediately put at ease. We subsequently met to go over the contract and when I left I felt an overwhelming sense of assurance that I was in very good hands. I can say without equivocation, "The entire experience, from start to end was all I thought it would be and much, much more. Jayanne and her staff went far beyond my expectations. Their professionalism, sensitivity, and their "real" concern for detail left me in awe. The whole experience left me once again profoundly appreciative that there really is honesty and caring in business, even in today's world. Description of Work: Set-up, organize, advertise,ran estate sale events I(two days), packed-up unsold usable items, shipped unsold selected items to auction house for sale there, gathered and packed the rest of the usable items and organized and scheduled charity org to take for their use and left property neat and uncluttered. Total of over five days work.

Jayanne Courser came to my home and surveyed it as well as a storage unit of mine representing Act 3. We then agreed upon a date and I signed a contract. A few days later we agreed that the initial date was too aggressive. We changed the date to approximately 5 to six weeks later. On Monday 20 Oct 2014 the team led by Jayanne showed up as agreed. After a brief tour of the home they unloaded their tables and started unloading some of my boxes in the garage onto their tables. They were very fast in their discovery of everything I wantd to sell. Early Monday afternoon they quit working for the day. Only 6 hrs of work but in that time frame they were successful in filling tables with items. The next day I hired some day laborers to assist the Act 3 team with my storage unit. My expense. While we were unloading the storage unit I received a phone call from Jayanne stating that she did not want to be the bearer of bad news but they were not going to do the sale. They were quitting. I told her I would be at my house in 15 minutes and we could talk about it. When I arrived she was sitting at my kitchen table with my daughter and the rest of her team. She said they were quitting because she didn't think she could make any money. Keep in mind that I live in one of the three most affluent gated and guarded neighborhoods in the Las Vegas area. She basically started telling me what she thought she could get for everything and what her expenses were. (At this point I need to tell you that she told my daughter that she did not know about the storage unit. The very first day we met I personally took her there. ) She simply thought because of the address there were going to be more upper end products available for sale. I will recommend to everyone that you do not use Act 3 for an estate sale unless you want to be thoroughly disappointed.
Description of Work: Under signed contract they came in the second day and said they could not make any money so they quit. The took their tables and left.

Please know that I did not leave [removed members name] hanging, he did not mention that I arranged for the Auction to pick up what he wanted to sell and I also arranged at his request to have Two Men and a Truck to come earlier than planned to pick up items for donation. When I send out 1400 emails and advertise locally, we have to have enough for everyone's interest. Where he lives had nothing to do with the facts. I work everywhere in the Las Vegas/Henderson area. I personally think [removed members name] review is incomplete. [removed members name] and I agreed that he would have everything from the storage unit at the house when we started. When we arrived, he asked my two crew members with a truck to use their own trucks to go to the unit to handle very heavy items and bring them to his home. I asked them to please do so. After we worked very hard the first day, we found out that [removed members name] and his Daughter were taking a great deal of salable items, such as everything in two curio cabinets and almost everything in the kitchen. Leaving very few small items to warrant a Sale. Furniture is not a big seller and the only things left were two beds, a damaged dining table, lovely sideboard, a small two chair & table set, outdoor furniture and a beautiful sofa. Some tools in the garage and artist supplies. My contract states that once you sign the contract you cannot remove anything, that was not the case. After dealing with the Association and spending my time and effort advertising this Sale, it was my opinion that it was not going to be a success, so I cancelled it. I think [removed members name] review is unfair, but we are all entitled to our opinion.
I was very impressed by their service, efficiency, friendliness and professionalism. They did a great job through and through!
Description of Work: T & L Estate Sellers held an estate sale to sell everything in my mom and stepdad's home when they sold their property. They cleared out the entire home and property, sold many items, sent some to auction and donated the rest. They filled me in daily about what had sold and sent a check for 65% of the sales. I was able to handle the entire estate sale remotely, while working out-of-state.
First, let me address cost. It did not cost me directly. Jayanne and Carol work on a commission basis. Their commission is 35% of everything sold, and this is the going rate for services of this nature. For the services performed, they were worth every cent for doing all they did to complete this job. My situation was such that I had to sell my house and move from southern Nevada. When I looked at all I had to move and divest myself of, I felt overwhelmed. Friends advised me to use on-line services to accomplish all this. This was certainly not anything I cared to do. I decided to locate someone specializing in estate sales and auctions Initially, this was easier considered than done. After a couple of unsatisfactory inquiries, I was fortunate enough to be referred to Jayanne and Carol, of T and L Estate Sellers. I cannot thank these two ladies enough for all they did on my behalf. Without their expert assistance and competence, I am certain things would not have turned out to my complete satisfaction. They handled all aspects of getting everything removed from my house. This included donating food I did not care to pack up and move, bringing in an auction service to remove all items that were not sold from the house during the two day auction, and seeing the house was left in a very clean and ordered state when all was completed. I recommend them without reservation, and with my highest compliments, for their care, consideration, and professionalism in doing all their work on my behalf. It was a joy and pleasure to meet and come to know them better during the time they spent doing the necessary work to complete this job.
Description of Work: The sale of my household goods and furniture. I didn't really consider my furniture and other goods as comprising much of an "estate", per se. I certainly needed help in divesting myself of things, in a more appropriate manner than might have otherwise happened, however.
